  1. Cheers for the thanks. You'll be fine. Keep chipping away and it'll slowly disappear. I knew I'd get out of it eventually, but my work before Christmas was quite unpredictable. Especially those 3 weeks before Christmas where I didn't have any work at all coming in. Thankfully, since about February onwards, it's been gathering steam and now it's done. You can do eet. Enjoy le skiing.
  2. The French accent is a huge turn on. That's awesome because I lived with a French girl in Halls, and she had many French friends who often came around. They came, and so did I. I also quite like the Spanish-y sort of accent, as well. Very, very hot. Ine's got a voice which does it for me, which I'm surprised at because I never imagined the Flemish or Dutch accent to be particularly sexy on girls, but it is. Although, I bet she can't say the same about my accent or voice. I used to know a girl who had an American accent, and it sounded quite nice. But, I think if I spent every day of my life with somebody who had a really thick one, it would probably get on my nerves. I think the same could be said for the Australian accent, too. Used to work with a girl who had it, and it sounded less sexy as time went by.
  3. I fucking hate the word "banter." I used to work with a guy who would describe every night out as "epic banter!" Pissed me right off. Charlie, those footballer lines you mentioned also grate my cheese, too. I loathe the phrase "six of one, half a dozen of the other." Or, "swings and roundabouts." Grrr. Another personal hate is how everything suddenly becomes "epic." No. Certain things are epic. That brilliant Tennis match between Nadal and Federer at Wimbledon 2008 was epic. The Lord of the Rings films are deserving of that word. But, I hate how the term is overused. Finally, I get annoyed when celebrities (or anyone for that matter) overuse the words "obviously" and "like" or "totally" during interviews. Mark "Obviously" Hughes, I'm looking at you.
  4. Apart from briefly being out of my overdraft when my student loan arrived, and for about 2 weeks before I then blew alllll my money on seeing Ine for the first time in Paris, I have been in it since the second year of uni. It was a four year course and I finished a year ago! So, I thought I'd be skint forever. Wooo for Paydaaaaaay.
  5. Work had only paid me for 2 out of the 3 full weeks that I had worked there. So, rang them up yesterday and they said "oh, but it says it's fine on our end, so it must have gone through." Despite me kicking their arse with the faaacts. So, they rang back today and apologised, saying that the problem is with their payroll department. I just said "aww, it's not your fault, don't feel bad!" whilst at the same time thinking "Knew It!" Checked my account, and not only have they paid me my wages, but they've put me up to the next hundred. So, instead of getting 335, I've been paid 400 quid for that week! Hahah, result! In addition to that... I'm Out Of My Overdraft! All that work has paid off, literally. Feels good to look at my account and think "yes, that money is now MINE." Thanks for the help, TeeeEsssBeeeee. Also, forgot to say: Well Done, Paj. Good job that man.
  6. Ah yes, now I remember. I want to read it when it comes, even though I won't understand most of it.
  7. I think I remember you showing me some of this? I remember the title and the picture.
  8. Aww, I came home to find that email, too. I thought it would get cancelled, but I'm still gutted anyway!
  9. I think it's probably best to wait for the game to see how/if this works or not. It's Mario, not something Nintendo will fiddle about with lightly. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt now until I play it.
  10. If you're ever in my neck of the woods, I'll get my Mum to make you some of her Curries. She has a huge thing for chillis, garlic and ginger. She hasn't really made one for a while, but she is definitely someone who can handle her spices.
  11. Wednesdays are usually ok for me. It's midway through the week, so you feel like you're in a routine, which is fine by me. If it's a good or decent week, then I don't feel tired because I'm just getting on with things. I think the best way to describe it is to say that you're in your stride. The best day is probably Thursday. You get that feeling that you have worked hard all week and have accomplished something, and then have only one more day to go before the weekend, and rest comes. I love Thursdays. Sundays are half and half. Part of me is enjoying my second day of rest, and the other part of me is thinking "sheeeeet, it's work again tomorrow. Where's the bluddy weekend gone?!"
  12. Everton have beaten City 2-0 at their ground. Ahh, that feels nice. Can't believe they hadn't lost at home all season. I thought the Spurs/Fulham game tonight was pretty entertaining. I still can't believe just how well Gareth Bale is playing this year. Hope he keeps eet up.
  13. I reckon it'll still come to the Wii, but it just sounds like they're making a mountain out of a molehill here. The original video of the game was shown. It was stated the game was for the Wii. I think the reactions were quite positive. So, why change the focus? Why worry about what game to give the Wii Owners? At no point did anyone complain about it being an FPS, and declaring that they wanted a top-down shooter. At no point! My advice to them: Give us the game you showed in the first place.
  14. You're right. What we need is Google Address Book. Then, find a way to link in this with Google Maps, and we'll be on to a winnaaaaaaaarggggh.
  15. Ahh, we're encountering the old enemy in the Champions League, Ze Germans. I went "ouuuuch" when I saw the Arsa-Barca fixture. That'll be great to watch. But, I'm kinda glad its not us. I don't think we're quite ready to face them, mentally. I'm so nervous over tomorrow's game. I just hope the guys are not thinking about the previous 3 games too much. Also, I hope Vidic manages to last the 90 minutes...don't go for 4 in 4. Don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight. A mixture of excitement and nervousness. I was like this before the away game against Meeelan, and the away game against Arsenal. But, they turned out well. Here's hoping for this. Watched the Villa/Wolves game earlier. Felt pretty sorry for Wolves, but in reality they probably would have taken a point beforehand. A point at Villa Park is a great one. But, so close to taking all 3.
  16. In short, it means: Ps360 love. Wii can suck my balls.
  17. Also, tonight, Owen Hargreaves played 45 mins in the reserves against Burnley.
  18. Ooo, haha. Now I'm with you. Yeah, I should pay more attention.
  19. I think Pyxis is talking about the running a marathon every three days part. Excess running maybe being bad for your bones. Just seen the thanks from Pyxis. I'm...now thinking the above comment is tongue in cheek. I'm going to get back to the football, I think.
  20. I'm in absolute shock. Just got home from the gym, and made a huge fail as I thought the Liverpool game was on first with the Fulham one on later. Can't believe the scoreline, and I can't believe the manner of the victory. Everything I've read seems to suggest that Fulham played them off the park. Fulham outplaying Juventus. If you told me that in the 90s, I would laughed so hard that my insides would have fallen out of my arse. Can't believe it. I'm a bit saddened as I used to fear the Juventus team, especially as a kid. Well done, Fulham. Go on you! And now, all that's on telly is this shitty Liverpool game.
  21. It's not just all attacking play either. They work very hard defensively, too. I was really impressed whenever Stuttgart attacked and saw just how quickly Barca got players around them. As a team, they attack and defend as a unit very, very well. As I said, I would just love to see what they do during training, because they must work so hard there.
  22. I'm quite a fan of Sneijder. Very surprised United didn't go for him when they had the chance. He's a good player and a hard worker. Put Chelsea's midfield to shame yesterday. It should have been a penalty. Rugby tackle is the correct word that I'd use. Don't really know how the ref didn't see it, but there you go. Really, I think the result was the right one, a narrow victory for Inter. Inter had some great chances in the second half, but Chelsea had worked the ball into the box once or twice in the first, and would have scored if it were not for some last ditch defending. Some of the interceptions I saw yesterday...boner inducing. I fucking love good defending. Barcelona tonight were not human. Don't think they even got out of first gear. The ball just sticks to their feet, all the damn time. I would love to watch them during training, I bet that would be special.
  23. Happy Birthday, Haden. Love From Hayden.
  24. It depends on the amount of equipment you have available to you as well. I've lost count of how many times I've seen small groups of people crowding around the only lateral pulldown machine. What I find annoying is that the one sits on the seat, has a little laugh and a joke, does a few reps, then they alternate between each member of the group. But, fuck, some of them do more talking than pulling. That kind of workout just wouldn't do it for me. Granted, some groups have a routine, so that they're doing different things at once, which is what I would probably do if I went with a group. Then there's the ones that chat on their phones, sitting at the only bench press in the whole place. This one time I actually finished my whole workout in the time that the bloke spent on his phone!
  25. Was it not a nice place to work?
