But...but... -
5:02 onwards is the real reason why I'll watch Season 9. My god, I hope they do that arc justice. Excellent tease for that arc.

I started my second run yesterday and just have to echo what you're saying. It's amazing being back in that world and there just feels like there is a story around every corner. I enjoyed Hearts of Stone, but Blood and Wine is really something else. Toussaint is stunning and I did feel a huge sadness when I finished that story to realise that there was no more left. Just brilliant. I'm really enjoying going through the game again. The first two Witcher games being re-done to the standard of The Witcher 3 would just be glorious. It is surely too much work though for CD Projekt Red, who are busy getting Cyberpunk ready. A shame, but I guess we can't have everything. The writing in Wild Hunt + expansions...simply fantastic. I'm enjoying reading all of the journals that you find, beastiary entries, the books that you can loot, etc, plus all of the dialogue itself. It really sets this apart from so many other games. I can't fathom just how much effort went into that particular aspect of the game.

It's non-recoverable for him. He has to move on, unfortunately. A move back to Germany will probably do him good.
-
Yeah, but I think he brought him in as a back-up to Mignolet, who was the number 1 at that moment in time. Apologies if I've got that bit wrong! I don't think Karius was ever brought to seriously be the long-term number 1 keeper. It's unfortunate that Mignolet didn't really secure that position and Klopp then had to do something, which is when Karius was thrown in. But, that hasn't worked out either, so he's got Alisson in now. Also, Karius did pretty well in the Bundesliga. Taken from his Wikipedia page: That's a high amount of praise. So, he's not a terrible goalkeeper. Unfortunately, he's just made too many mistakes and some of those mistakes were in a Champions League Final. Look at Lloris in the World Cup Final...we know that he is a quality keeper, but it just shows that the consequences are far greater when a goalkeeper makes a mistake. The difference is that Lloris is good enough to come back from that mistake and France still ended up winning the final. Karius' mistakes cost Liverpool their trophy. That's a huge amount of pressure for him to deal with and, unlike Lloris, I don't think he's as good mentally to come back from that at Liverpool. I'm sure he'll eventually move on to a different club and will do just fine. It reminds me of when Ben Foster was at United and he looked like he'd be the next number 1. Then, I think he dropped a clanger in a game against Sunderland and that was it for him. Think the game finished 2-2, so his mistake did cost us points. I remember knowing straightaway that was that for his United career. But, he's gone elsewhere and has done well, and I imagine it will be the same for Karius.

There was a bit of it when @Eenuh was climbing up some trees and was at the very top amongst the leaves. I thought it looked like some sort of cool effect, but not sure that she agreed. What do you make of the whole weapon breaking mechanic? I saw her doing the Stone Talus boss and could see that it was quite frustrating having to switch your weapons every few seconds due to them breaking.

I think he'll work out. Klopp is a good manager and he's got a distinctive style of playing the game. So, imo, he's brought these players in to do a certain job and he's earmarked them as the ones who can carry out his plan. It's not like a Spurs thing where there wasn't a definitive plan. Klopp knows what he's doing. Bar any injuries to key players, there's no reason why Liverpool can't challenge for the title with that squad. It'll also be down to how the top players at City, Chelsea and United perform. I have to admit that I'm not particularly confident going into the new season and I expect more of the same from the last one, expect I don't think we'll finish second.

I thought Simeone would be in the running for the Chelsea job, in which case him and Oblak would have been fantastic additions to the club. But, that hasn't turned out to be the case. Donnarumma is only 19?! Wtf?! I thought he was easily in his early 20s...he's a baby. Another club could get almost 20 years out of him...that's insane. If Courtois does go, I think Chelsea will struggle to replace him. You'd think that Chelsea would do their utmost to keep hold of him. Quality keeper, and very difficult to replace.

I don't really mind that controller at all. Quite like it! It's definitely better than the Darth Vader one, though. By quite some distance.

@Hero-of-Time, we ended up buying Breath of the Wild from Argos. Cheers for the heads-up! I've got my Summer break from school and I already said months ago that I'd start my second playthrough of The Witcher 3. According to my save file, I finished the DLC 12/07/2016, so 2 years and one week ago. We've decided that @Eenuh is going to play this first (since there's no way both of us can play this at the same time, without owning two sets of hardware and two versions of the game) and I'll play The Witcher 3. Then, we'll do a swap afterwards and she'll do her second Witcher 3 run through and I'll do BotW. Seems sensible! I'll tell you what though, getting everything set up was an absolute ball ache. We had to go rummaging through the boxes to find the WiiU stuff. That didn't take too long. So, console got set up reasonably quickler. Having to find the WiiU gamepad cable was fun, seeing as it has it's own special cable that it needs and isn't just a standard USB cable. So, we charged that up. @Eenuh is using the headphones to play the game and there don't seem to be that many customisable options in game or in the system to turn up the in game sound or turn down certain things, etc. About 15 minutes into the game, @Eenuh decides that the WiiU Gamepad is a piece of junk and is just plain uncomfortable to use. So, we go to find the Pro Controller. We find the Pro Controller. Then, we realise that it (for some unknown reason) don't use the same cable as the Gamepad and is also not standard USB. It's a mini-USB cable. So, we have to go ransacking the boxes for that. We find the cable. Now, we both realise that there's no headphone jack on the controller, so Eenuh now has the WiiU Gamepad on her lap, with the power cable powering that up, plus the headphone cable going from that, whilst she's also charging the Pro Controller and using that. I think she can finally start to enjoy the game now! Also, is there any lag on the WiiU version? She said she's noticed some slowdown already.

Sorry, next bracket as in "available". De Gea, Neuer, Courtois and Lloris are unavailable due to them already playing at big clubs and there's no way any amount of money from Liverpool will cause said club to sell to them. (Also because they're Premier League rivals). So, next bracket as in top class and available. Oblak is the keeper I would want United to replace De Gea with if he moved on.

The Official N-Europe top #10 games of all time

Great list. Mario Kart DS is obviously the best Mario Kart game and it completely shits all over the Wii game. The Last Guardian is a great pick, too. I adore that game and also love Ico. We name our cat Ico. As for the lack of Mario games, I almost put Super Mario Bros. 3 in my list and was close to also including Super Mario Sunshine, which I preferred to SM64. Perfect Dark almost snuck into my list too, but Overwatch pushed it out. -
I think Pickford did the right thing for him. There's a lot more pressure playing for Liverpool than there is playing for Everton, and who knows what effect that would have had on him. What if he makes a mistake early on or in a high profile game and the fans jump on his back? I think going to Everton was the right move at the right time for him. Maybe in the future he'll move to a bigger club and he'll be in a better place mentally to do so. That's in the past, though. Liverpool could have done with sorting this out for good last season or the season before, but that's come and gone. Right NOW, look at the top keepers in the world. They are all unavailable. Liverpool are not going to be able to buy De Gea, Courtois, Lloris, Neuer, or anyone of that ilk. Because the big clubs already have those players because they obtained them at a much younger age. So, now it's onto the next bracket. Oblak? Potentially, but again, lots of money and also unproven in the Premier League. If you look internally, Schmeichel is the only real "get-able" goalkeeper who could potentially fit that mould. But, he's not on the same level as the types of goalkeepers that Man Utd, City and Chelsea have. There's absolutely no way Everton will sell Pickford to Liverpool because that...is just treasonous. The manager and chairman would not be able to live it down with the fans. So, that rules him out. Good players adapt and if Alisson is as good as he's touted to be, then he'll adapt. It may take time, but good players will find a way to make it work. There's a reason that other clubs were linked with him, with Real Madrid interested. On the RedCafe, the general consensus on there is that this guy will be a very good signing for you. Many are tipping Liverpool to finish above us, and judging on the calibre of signings you have plus the style of football you played last season, I'd have to agree with them.

Another streaming service? Does this mean that DC will pull all of their films off other services, like The Dark Knight Trilogy and put those onto their own service instead? I generally dislike the way things are going with multiple streaming services. It's just making things more expensive for the fans/everyday folk.
-
Ah, a shame that. Think it's been as low as £9.99 in the past, or somewhere in that region.
-
Too late! I started a fresh save file this afternoon. I tell you what, I've forgotten how much I've missed this world. The sunsets are gorgeous and it's just been great walking/riding around the fields and taking it all in. Already put 5 hours in this.
-
Nope, you won't miss out. The update that is coming is free to all users and there has been no paid DLC thus far. So, it should all be fine for you to get it preowned. I've noticed that it has been pretty cheap on PSN in the past, so it's worth looking on there, too. Also, in case any of you don't know already, the soundtrack for the game is available on Spotify and it's by 65daysofstatic, who are just completely fucking awesome. The soundtrack for the game is excellent and I still regularly listen to it now. Monolith and Outlier/EOTWS_Variation1 are two of my favourite tracks. Pure brilliance. It's just a really good album anyway, but the fact that the music is in the game too is another plus.

Fitness, Weight Loss & Strength 2018

Sounds like a good plan! Exciting to also try and do something a bit different plus it's a good way for you both to have something new which you can then talk about and share. I've found the jump/skipping rope that we had boxed away and am planning to reintroduce that as another form of cardio. I felt that it really did work and there were many occasions using it where I was dying afterwards, so I'm looking forward to getting into that again. Will alternate that with the crosstrainer, or maybe even do it on the same days that I lift weights. Will see. -
I think the danger for Liverpool is that if they don't get him now, they may lose out. Real Madrid are in the market for a new keeper and there was talk of Alisson going there, but it looks like that won't happen now. If Courtois does go to Madrid, then Chelsea need a new keeper, too. It's a big transfer fee, but it'll be worth it in the long run for the club.

I'm getting read to do my very first replay of this mammoth game. Think I'm going to do it all again tomorrow! Quick question for people...did you do New Game + or did you do a fresh restart? I'm leaning towards doing the whole game again from fresh. Good idea?

One thing that I'd like is to be able to terraform planets. So, maybe have more dead systems, but you can build a base on a planet and then help life to flourish there. Maybe there could be a whole mechanic there to do with splicing lifeforms together to make new species or something to that effect. Would be quite fun to build colonies and maybe even a small city in the future. Who knows. There are definitely more options available now than at launch. The whole base building aspect seems interesting and I like that there are missions within the game. Definitely excited about jumping back in and exploring the universe.
-
Yeah, I'd have to agree there. We often play very late at night and turn the sound down to not annoy the neighbours...but we don't turn it off completely due to the audio cues, especially with all of the ults. I think D.Va's ult is one of the only ones that has an on-screen prompt to tell you where it's coming from, but I don't think any of the others do at all. Would be very useful for deaf players to have more of these types of cues. It can't be fun to get High Noon'd out of nowhere without any sort of warning that it's coming.

I've been following the No Man's Sky news on Reddit for months, shortly before the Foundation Update. As each update has arrived, it has made the game better each time, clearly. I've been waiting for that moment to jump back in, which looks like right about now. Curious to see where they take the game from here because clearly the longterm goal has been towards making this more multiplayer orientated, so it'll be interesting to see what happens now that they've finally got that up and running.
