Really bad second half performance from Belgium. I don't really get it. You wouldn't have thought that there was a fucking World Cup Final up for grabs when you see that second half. I have no idea where De Bruyne was meant to be playing as he was everywhere bar the place he should have been playing. Lukaku may as well have brought his picnic basket and set up camp in the French box as he had nothing to go on all game. I don't understand Martinez. He changed the side from one that was working and the one that was unbeaten and it just massively backfired. Atrocious tactics, tbh. Dembele was absolutely awful and lost the ball so many times in both halves. Chadli's crossing was terrible. But, no urgency in attack, no runners from midfield and no one really forcing the players to move it up a gear on the pitch. De Bruyne in that second half...worst I've ever seen him play. The team never looked like coming back into it after going 1-0.

Dembele has been a liability tonight for Belgium. He's given the ball away too many times and he's not been doing his job all that well in midfield. I'd take him off, bring Fellaini back into centre mid, then put De Bruyne in the middle and either Mertens or Carrasco on the wing.

Belgium are having most of the ball, with France looking to counter with Mbappe. If Mbappe gets one on one with Kompany, he'll absolutely destroy him.

My hype for Episode IX couldn't be any lower. I really disliked a lot of the choices made during TLJ and, for me, it's killed a lot of enthusiasm that I had for this new trilogy. We'll see what happens, but my eyes just rolled as soon as I heard the news about Lando coming back. If there was a time to do it, it was TFA.

Used the crosstrainer today and had to move the fan so that it was directly blowing at my face so that I wouldn't melt in this bluddy heat. Survived! Now that I've got time off due to the Summer, I'm going to try to do something every day. Weights yesterday, cardio today. May try weights tomorrow and possibly the day after. Saturday as a rest day. We'll see how it goes!

Seems a bit pointless to have Lando in the film when both Han and Leia won't be there.

It's a lot of money. But, it might make sense for all parties. Ronaldo has won everything that he can with Real Madrid, so it makes sense for him to move on and succeed somewhere else. Real Madrid have had a very impressive time with Ronaldo, but now they'll look towards rebuilding the next big side with a new manager. Juventus have now got a highly marketable player who also just so happens to be the best player in the world. If they're going to break the bank for someone, it has to be Ronaldo. The question will be who Real Madrid plan to replace Ronaldo with.

A great run for Russia. Croatia were the better team, but Russia pushed them all of the way. So, one of Belgium, France, England or Croatia is going to win the World Cup. The final is either going to be: Belgium vs. England Belgium vs. Croatia France vs. England France vs. Croatia Option 1 is my first choice. Think it may well be that. France vs. Croatia would be the most disappointing final, for me.

It's a shame that one of France and Belgium won't make the final, yet one of these two has the potential to. Both have looked decidedly average.

I'm trying to work out who I want England to play in the next round. I think Russia look the least appealing due to them obviously being the home team, but both sides look pretty weak, tbh. It's a bit crazy how one of these sides is going to make it to a World Cup Semi-Final.

Croatia have looked a bit shit, but they've just levelled the game at 1-1. Going to be a tough game for both teams.

The real Luka Modric is actually tied up in a basement somewhere, too.

Pickford is a good shot stopper and has had a great tournament. Only player who I thought should have done better today was Sterling, but he still carried the ball forward well and made space for others. It didn't feel like a quarter final at all though, it felt a lot close to a qualifier or group stage game. There weren't that many chances for either side. Looking forward to seeing who the next opponents are. Think Croatia will edge it 2-1.

I predicted that this will finish 2-0 and I'm sticking with that. Think England will see this out.

I think France will, unfortunately, beat Belgium. It'll be a close game, but I think the Japan and Brazil results and performances will start to take their toll. If Belgium beat France, I think they'll win the final as France are, imo, the hardest remaining team.

Wooo! What a great game. I'm not a fan of Witsel, but he played well with Fellaini in the midfield. Basically, it was like a Reinhardt/Orisa combo in Overwatch. Just shielded everything. Made a huge difference today, with Kompany playing awesomely in defence. It enabled De Bruyne to play higher up, too. The right side of defence was weak though and so many chances came from that side.

Lukaku has been taken off. So, if Brazil score and the game goes to extra time, Lukaku is on the bench. Might come back to bit Martinez, that one.
