I'm indifferent towards Sonic. The character design, the moves and the Sonic based stage were all well done. It's slightly jarring thought when you're playing in a game with Sonic there or in his level, part of you remembers the Megadrive days of yesterday, the competitive nature between Nintendo and SEGA. It still doesn't entirely feel right to me seeing Sonic on a Nintendo platform, let alone in Smash Bros. On the plus side, like I mentioned, they implemented him very well into the game. ALL of the characters should have that same treatment. I'd rather see the game become more streamlined with every character and stage counting. There were just a few characters that seemed to be there for "fan service" rather than actually being useful. Only a few, mind. The Metroid stages were fantastic, though.

Shay's quitting at the right time. Time for Ireland to start again/plan for the future. Anyone else following the Sunderland/Wolves saga over Steven Fletcher? Sunderland offered 12 million, which Wolves turned down as they want 15 for him. As good as Fletcher is, a similar price could have got you Podolski, Kagawa, Cazorla, or Borini. (not taking into account wages, of course) Bit mad really.

Eating a lot of food throughout the day is difficult. I've resorted to taking my protein shake to work along with fruit and some healthy snacks. Quite often I've taught a lesson whilst eating bits of orange, heh. I've done some skipping today, about 20/25 mins worth. Will probably do some more later on. Want to do some chest work but my triceps are a bit sore still from day before yesterday.

Xpert 11 Season 23: The highlight of the Summer

@Zell, fancy a rematch for Friday? I promised I'd give you a game. -
Extraction is brilliant, but there's something about this that is very likeable. I like the slow pace of it, as it mirrors the atmosphere and the nature of the earlier games.

I hear you. Fruit is so expensive. There's a bit of irony in the fact that all the unhealthy stuff is cheaper, and all the healthy things that your body needs (fruit + veg) are more expensive.

Xpert 11 Season 23: The highlight of the Summer

I posted this in my previous post as an edit: Dragooooo lose 4-2 but go down fighting. Gutted. But, happy as my new striker scored, another one scored with Thijs getting the assist, and we were still in the game up until the 85th or so minute when it then became 4-2. Close. Did not bank on my opponent choosing 3-5-2 as well. DRAGOOOOO FOREVEEEER Yeah, they played well. Can't fault them. We are nowhere near as strong as them, so to closely lose the match is about as good as we could have hoped. I could have gone into it with a negative set-up, but I wanted to win it well. Bring on the league! -
Its been a long time, i shouldnt have left you...

Xpert 11 Season 23: The highlight of the Summer

Loved this part! Love Benny! Thijs is just an absolute legend as well. Semi-Final day. Nervous as hell, I have sweaty palms right now. I've set everything up and just hope I can get something. I'm still predicting a loss, and I've accepted it now. Whatever happens, Dragooooo have shown massive improvement and will continue to dominate! Edit: Dragooooo lose 4-2 but go down fighting. Gutted. But, happy as my new striker scored, another one scored with Thijs getting the assist, and we were still in the game up until the 85th or so minute when it then became 4-2. Close. Does that calorie amount differ from person to person depending on their size and build? I'm not exactly tall, but I've gained in width over the years thanks to discovering the wonders of chicken and working out. Money and time makes it pretty hard though to get up to that calorie limit. At times, I feel like I'm over eating when I do that.

The Dark Knight Rises (Spoilers inside, enter at own risk)

I'm pretty sure Alfred was dreaming the whole franchise. Bruce Wayne died years ago along with his parents. He's alone at the end at the cafe, nodding to Bruce's ghost and what he would have looked like had he lived. lol -
So tired/bored with Capcom right now. For every good decision they make, they make one bad decision, and an extra just to piss people off. I'm going to ignore this thread. Can someone message me when we get some news, pleaaase? /lazy

I'll only be getting the one console again this generation, due to time and money constraints, and just generally not being all that interested by what's on the other machines. It'll be a WiiU unless Nintendo manage to colossally fuck it up. Even then, I'm not sure I'll even get one at launch, due to a huge backlog of current gen games I need to finish. Loved this generation, though. Played some very interesting games, managed to fit it around the majority of uni, then finishing uni and getting a job. The Wii has held up pretty well for me and I've enjoyed it. Screw you, haters.

Seriously, if you do that, you will cause your body harm. People have already told you above that you are not eating enough. You're doing your body more harm than good. One bit of chocolate cake (or whatever) didn't make you fat. What do you do when you're at the gym? Weights? Heavy weights or light? Cardio? 1000 sit-ups? It's about eating and training smart, that's how you'll get yourself in shape. You don't have to starve yourself all day and then eat at 6, you'll have no energy at all to have a decent work-out. It's pointless. Get yourself a small but decent breakfast, a small lunch and a small dinner. Smaller portions, but throughout the day. Also, how many times have you been exercising this week? Are you doing the same thing each day, because that's not really any good either, you need to vary it up.

Xpert 11 Season 23: The highlight of the Summer

Peeps' post was brilliant. It's great for giving you a long-term look at the game. The best thing I can suggest is treat your first 'year' as a look into how the game works. The beauty in your league is that you can't get relegated, there's very little at stake. So, just enjoy it. The tactics side of the game is quite straightforward and you'll pick it up for yourself as you play it. There's a little something else called "team-work" values (I don't think it was in Peeps' post, but I apologise if it was and I missed it) which is a value that calculates how well your chosen team has played together. It breaks it down into defence (Goalie + defenders), midfield, and strikers. The more you play certain players together, the higher the teamwork values will go. Think of it in terms of Man City when their sugar-daddy first bought their team, 11 individuals on the pitch. Look at them now, one team. When you're buying players in the transfer market, it will tell you the "compatibility" of that player with your team. If its poor, it means you'll have a bad teamwork value with that player included, until you start playing them more and integrating them within the team. If it's good or excellent, you have very little to worry about! (think the ratings are poor, fair, good and excellent) I'm not sure how important it truly is, but I was told that there is quite an emphasis on this. So, after each game, you will receive a report which tells you how well you played (how many chances you created, how many chances your opponent created) and it will also show your teamwork values there. It's quite good for both short-term and long-term. In your players squad, it'll also tell you there who a certain player works best with and worst with. In theory, having a smaller squad means that you should have higher teamwork values, higher DV for your players (as you won't be chopping and changing too many things), but the downside is that if you have injuries and suspensions, you're a bit screwed. Welcome to Xpert11. -
You're probably right. Still, it's all rather comical.

Is it quiet in here? Or is it just me?
Fierce_LiNk replied to Dog-amoto's topic in General Chit Chat
Yeah, there can be a fair bit of lag. It varies from game to game, mind. Sometimes it works flawlessly. Local all the way! -
I'm going to perform Inception on you to make you love the controls. You will love them.
-
The entire game is built around motion, every single aspect of it. There will be a period of adjustment because we've never played anything like it before. Did you finish the game?
-
Making it optional/giving the ability to use pad control is a bad idea. The game is built around motionplus controls, so that is how it should be played. Yes, it is different to the previous Zelda games in this respect, but that is what partly makes it unique. It's like adding in the option to play dual-analogue in an FPS with motion controls. There is just absolutely no need for it. It's taking a huge backward step and you lose all of that precision, accuracy and speed that you would get from motion control. Why put yourself at a disadvantage? I'm not sure I understand this. If you're already at the left and want to swing horizontally, then swing from left to right. Unless you mean if the enemy has a shield or something in the way, in which case you'd have to move your sword back to the middle/to the right side anyway. It's a videogame, but it always seemed pretty obvious to me how much "force" you would have to exert to differentiate between moving your sword from left to right, and swinging the sword from left to right. In my opinion, the game picked up on this the vast majority of the time. Also, surrounded by enemies? Spin attack. No excuses, bitches. Motion controls were great. Item upgrading system was great. Graphical style was nice. What needed improving? Everything else.

Yup. That's why I'm not going anywhere near it. :p When I think about these sorts of things, I ask myself whether I'd be happy doing this in the long-run. Diets sometimes do work, but lifestyle changes are better. Exercising, eating right, sleeping right, etc. I can't imagine being on that diet for the rest of my life.
-
Indeed. There are chars of 10
-
Maybe so, but both of them have quite a big following, so it would be great for them. I'm neutral-to-meh about those two. But, there's plenty of other stuff there that I liked.
-
NO, YOU. It's not the same without Noel. That would've been amazing for me. Wonderwall should only be sung by Oasis. (and Ryan Adams)

The problem is that you are all trying to relegate British music history into 1 perfect hour. You can't do it and please everybody, it isn't possible. It's a testament to how broad British music has been over the years. There will be at least one thing everybody liked in there. The Eric Idle bit was brilliant, as was the opening with John Lennon, with the Lion King Musical-esque recreation of his face. Seeing The Who at the end was fantastic, as was Beady Eye's rendition of Wonderwall. I liked it, loved the whole Carnival feel.
