Graphics looks a bit suspect. Players seem too shiny, but I'll forgive that for now and judge it when we see it in motion/first hand. On the whole, it sounds fantastic. Definitely has caught my interest. It will have to go some way to beat the Wii versions of Pro Evo, but I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Jesus...some of the teams that people have been given since I have started have been insane. Tempted to erase mine and start again. I'm tempted to sell some of my forward line. Right now, I have four strikers. Feskens - 30 9 Barculo - 24 8 Chevanton - 24 6 Lowery - 21 5 I'm concerned about this forward line. Dragooooo were top scorers last season, with the majority of the goals coming from midfield. Feskens is fine, he bangs them in for fun. Barculo is young and has an excellent skill level, but he didn't score at all last season. He has scored 8 goals in 59 games altogether, which is just not good enough for me. Chevanton has scored 16 in 45, but only 1 last season. Lowery has 8 in 32, again only 1 last season. The development worries me, because they don't seem to be gaining in skill level. Both of them have only gone up one skill level in about 3 years. Barculo worries me a lot. What's the point in having a highly skilled striker if he doesn't score. I feel that I can get a decent price for him, and I can then use that money to bring in new blood. What do you guys think? Again, we did finish top scorers last season, which is excellent for a first season in the middle league. But, I want this team to move forward, and the attacking line just doesn't inspire me. I was hoping for some visible skill level changes, but nothing.

The recession has hit Wales very, very hard. Newport has always been a shit-hole, but now it's not even that. A hole implies that time and money has been spent crafting the crater out of the ground. In Newport's case, there isn't any money to buy relevant equipment to carve the hole. So all you are left with is the shit. No jobs there whatsoever. In any field. I applied for around 40/50 teaching jobs in Wales and received 3 replies. No interviews. There's quite a bit of supply work, which is the saving grace that got me through my year. I met another teacher who had been supplying for 5 years whilst still looking for a full-time job in Wales...that's when I hit the panic button and knew I had to get out of there. One of the jobs I applied for received 140+ applicants. That just isn't right. Applied for 3 jobs in England, got 2 interviews, received 1 job by the end of it. Not a bad success rate. It started off as part-time, but my hours and responsibilities have increased, and now I have a full-time permanent contract for September.

A decent change report. Both of my goalkeepers improved/visible skill change, which I wasn't expecting. Two visibles for my defence. 3 for my midfield. But none for my strikers, which I am so pissed off about. Skill increase of 9, reduction of 1 (no visible). Also, I wonder sometimes what more there is you could have done. I have played a 29 year old defender every game this season, no visible change. 26 year old for every game bar one: no visible change. 27 and 24 year old have been chosen for about 16 games, no visible change. All had really high form. Just...urgh.

Translation: My Dutch is very bad. I've been telling myself all summer that I will improve my Dutch and Spanish. It's getting there. Do any of you guys and girls know any other language, apart from your own native tongue? Are any of you learning a language? Do you have any opportunities to use it? I went out for a meal with Ine's friends yesterday and they commented on my Dutch/Flemish, saying it was pretty decent. Hellll yeah.

I tried this for the very first time (I think) at a store when I was out shopping yesterday. On first impressions, it seems fine. Graphics are quite nice, controls seemed fine, 3D effect was nice in the right places. I'll need a bit more of an extended play to fully see what it's like, but it seems ok.

Can't help but feel sorry for Andy Carroll. Liverpool's handling of him has been so cringeworthy. First of all, paying an obscene price for him, then deciding they would loan him, then listening for offers, then deciding that he won't be loaned only sold, then loaning him again, blah blah. Just terrible. West Ham have agreed a loan fee with Liverpool, but he doesn't want to go there. Just a complete mess.

So, it sounds like it's using the Pad like the Wiimote is used in the Pro Evo games, for defending and attacking. The shooting mechanics sound good, but I'm not sure how well they'll work. Might be too hard to use it in an actual competitive game? Sounds good so far.

When will we receive the change report?

I took a sneaky peak at this book whilst getting something from Tescos. It really is an appalling piece of fiction. So terribly written, structured and organised. It should be seen as an embarrassment to the whole medium that this book has sold as many copies as it has.

There are lots of positives and negatives with this place. The positives are that the staff are fantastic, and that there is a close-knit group of members that make this place enjoyable. However, there is still so much to be done here. I'm going to come out and say that the place took a massive dive in many respects since we made the switch from Cube-Europe to Revo/N-Europe. Joining AdvancedMediaNetwork was meant to herald a new era for the place, but we suffered countless problems. At one stage, I joined another Nintendo forum due to being so pissed off with the downtime and errors. The place has improved since then, thanks to the hardwork of the current staff (and ditching AMN). But, sadly, we lost so much ground during that time, which also saw the rise of other Nintendo fan-sites. Whilst we stopped growing, they caught us up. Cube-Europe was probably the best GameCube site and forum of its time, but now there are so many great forums and sites. We stopped competing. To those saying "Nintendo has changed", "Nintendo don't cater to gamers", "Nintendo failed us this generation", there are so many issues I have with this. PlanetGamecube were in our shadows during last generation, but after being rebranded NintendoWorldReport, they are one of the best Nintendo sites on the internet. As much as I loathe Cubed3, they have surpassed us. GoNintendo have come and left us in their wake. Like others have mentioned, there are so many of us who have been here for so long. We know this place like the back of our hand. We're no longer hungry for this place, as it has become our second home. What we really need are people coming in with things to prove. People coming in wanting to make this forum/website the best place on the net. This will then attract new members, people will come in fresh which will make the place more interesting. Better for everyone.

I played a vastly weakened side, in favour of DV, like you. Difference is, Dragooooo always find a way to win. Probably the first time I've played 4-3-3 all season, but I let my DVs dictate team selection. But, Dragooooo welcomes your excuses. Keep the Elite League nice and warm for us.

They are very much a one-trick pony. Bored with the constant churning out of lego games.

Great win to end the season. What is making me lol is that I have the same number of points, wins, draws, losses as Real Peeps, who took third place, whilst I take fourth. 6 more goals, and I would've been promoted. Talk about close! Would've been pretty funny if that had happened, considering I've been so worried about being relegated. Great season. Buying that midfielder in midseason basically kept me up. My midfield as a result have been playing miles better, particularly Daan Wielink who received the most points, scored the most goals and was joint second in contributing the most assists (in a three-way tie with another one of my players). Unbeaten in 7 games.

That just confuses things even more for me. The film has been filmed in a particular way, and it's meant to be viewed in that way. Yes, it's great having all these different cinema-options, but it confuses the fuck out of people like me. I just want to go to the cinema and watch the film that Jackson wanted us to see. Potentially, there could be 4 different viewing options. 3D normal, 2D normal, 2D40FPS, 3D40FPS... I do hope that this gets sorted, so we all know which version is the most worthwhile watching. That's one thing I loved about Avatar. It was pointless seeing the 2D version, because the 3D visuals were the selling point. I wonder if the visuals will be the selling point in this, too.

I...don't really know what to make of this. Half a decade ago, I would have been excited by this. Sang it from the rooftops. But, I dunno now. I'm already not hyped for it due to Senor Jackson's altering of camera and frame-rate. I feel it'll look too unfamiliar...when really what we all want is just more of what we had in Lord of the Rings.

Haden, you balls-on-chin-face. DRAGOOOOO have already said that they would play in the cup. Your utter contempt for the Almighty DRAGOOOOO leaves us no choice but to field a reserve team for the duration of the competition, which includes the inevitable cup final, which DRAGOOOOO rightfully deserve.

YESSSS! Beat Gaggle 4-0, which means that I stay up. Joint highest scorers in the league! Was certain I'd get relegated. It was only a few weeks ago where I was bottom of the league, but signing that midfielder has saved my season. Complete and utter bargain.
