Hmm, my opinion on Capcom has changed over the years. Mostly for the worse (will never forgive them for butchering the Resident Evil series). Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

With respect, the PSP games were classified as something else, Monster Hunter Portable. They seem to have deliberately side-stepped that in this case, by naming this 4. It's part of the main "series", so it should include the majority of the features from the main games. I would include online in that. If they had renamed this as some sort of side-game, then I would be worried about it lacking online features. But, in this case, I'm certain it will be online. Will be a travesty and a no-sale for me if it doesn't include this.

Xpert 11 Season 23: The highlight of the Summer
Fierce_LiNk replied to Haden's topic in General Chit Chat
Fuck YES. Won 4-1 at home. 6 games to go. I think if I can win 3 more games, it might be enough for me to stay up. The games against those at the bottom are massive. Aqui1a at home AC Elites away Yellow Submarines away Come the FUCK ON. DRAGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! -
Lol, every post you've made seems to be "IT NEEDS ONLINE-AAAA!" I don't see why it wouldn't be online. Tri was online and pulled it off with ease. Really enjoyed playing that with some of the people from here. Pretty sure 4 will be the same. Still a bit pissed about lack of underwater battles.

That's a bit unfair. Those are comments made in 2006. People change over time, and he will no doubt have matured since then. He would've been, what, 19 at the time? Also, there is a problem with this "being British" thing that I think applies to everybody. In football or rugby, you're expected to follow your country, be it England, Scotland, etc. But in tennis, suddenly you're all connected as part of the British Isles. Naturally, I'd like the home nations to do well in whatever sport. Rugby becomes an issue because my family has roots in England and Wales. But, I can definitely understand his second comment.

I'm very ashamed that I didn't pick this up much sooner. It really is fantastic. Playing it through with Ine at the moment and we're both in love with it. It just works on every level possible. The sound/music is beautifully composed, the graphics are just gorgeous, and the gameplay is surprisingly addictive. It really is a marvel. I've also found that I don't feel quite as "angry" when playing this in co-op. It's a fun experience. When playing NSMB:Wii, I found myself getting frustrated at times with another person there. In this game, it seems like the other person really adds something to the gameplay, rather than a hindrance.

That was my initial thought. Barton just needs putting down at this point. Or, just lock him in a room with bread, water and his beloved twitter. Don't release him, except for Christmas. Haha, I will miss his mandatory goals against Arsenal. Would love it if he continued that at QPR. Hmm, I wouldn't really think of it that way. He's been getting less opportunities, especially last season. Valencia and Nani have secured their positions on the wing, and Young has also performed well there, too. He can play in the middle, but he's not really the player United needs at the moment. Kagawa looks excellent. We need more goals from midfield, and his stats from last season at Dortmund are brilliant. 13 league goals. We needed that. Still would like us to sign another midfielder. The dream signing would be somebody like Sneijder, but that isn't going to happen.
-
That's a great picture, Murr. I had the same problem when I travelled back home and decided to bring the majority of my games back with me. Thank God for storage space.

After seeing some of the positive posts on here about this, I booked it with Ine for a late viewing, tonight at 10pm. It's in the studio room at Empire Cinema, in Poole. One of my favourite rooms to watch a film. Hope its good. Or, I'mma kill you.

Park has signed for QPR. Will miss the guy, as he has been fantastic for us over the years. Genuinely nice person as well, should be a good role model for some of the guys at the club there. Think it is the right time for him to go, as we need to bring in some new players to spice up that midfield. Needs more creativity. All the best, Park!

That camera-work. Captured the action perfectly. Felt like I was watching a Michael Bay film. Although, to your credit, there was less shakycam.

Thought the first two sets were fantastic, then the match seemed to go flat and the pace dropped when the roof went on. Andy was moving slower, probably as a result of those falls. Feel sorry for him, he played well and kept it close with Federer. If he had got more of his first serves in, I think the result could have been different. But, even then, Federer is not an easy person to play against. It's insane how much he has won over the years. You could feel how gutted Andy was when he was delivering his speech at the end. I'm convinced he'll win a grand slam in the future. It's a shame that today wasn't his day. He played well overall and can at least take some heart in that.

Xpert 11 Season 23: The highlight of the Summer
Fierce_LiNk replied to Haden's topic in General Chit Chat
Another shit performance from my team. I put in shit tactics this week. Relegation is expected now, so will just enjoy the rest of the season and prepare for the next. -
Chelsea is a hard place to work, as results are wanted immediately. It was obvious what AVB was trying to do, trying to bring in a new era to the club, and that was going to take a long time. In a way, it wasn't right him being at that club, since none of the recent managers there have been given time. You either achieve results quickly, or you're out. Depends on how those at the top of Spurs see it. If they see it in the same way, he won't last the season. If they are willing to give him time, and in exchange set their expectations a bit lower, he might do well.

Another excellent match. I missed the earlier Semi as I was at work, so a bit gutted about that. Both competitors were brilliant. Such an outstanding display of tennis. Thought Tsonga battled hard, particularly in the third and then the final set, after a difficult start. Murray though, another excellent performance from him. Sunday is going to be close. Excited.
-
It's so poor that a decision hasn't been made by now. We're barely weeks away from starting the new season in Scotland. How can a team not know which division they are playing in, with it being so close to the start? Just put them in the third, and have it done with. It's a farce now.
-
Excellent first two sets from Murray. I thought he would go on to dominate the fourth after he broke Tsonga, but then he broke Murray in the next game! This shit is tense.

Hmm, a bit wound up with stuff at work, and it's been annoying me for a while. Basically, I teach a year 3 class and a friend teaches year 5. She's had a bit of a rough year as the class have lots of pastoral issues, so the headteacher decided to switch our classes over, so I teach year 5 next year and she teaches 3. Now, this bothers me for a few reasons: 1. I never had a formal meeting about this. She had a meeting with him, I didn't. The closest I had to this was a very informal chat with my head of department on sports day, where she casually talked about the idea of us switching, without really saying that it was going to happen or not. 2. I found out about the change only because I asked a week after our conversation. Nobody came up to me and told me I was changing. 3. They came to this decision just a few weeks before the end of the school year. Not months before, we're barely talking weeks. They handled this badly by sending a letter home to parents whilst I was out on a campout with my current class. I had no idea the letter had gone out until I came back to school and parents were questioning me about this. 4. I have had, to say the least, an excellent year. I have redone all of the planning for my year-group and made it exciting, different and fresh. The planning that was there beforehand was stale, uninformative and just downright poor. I have done all of this work, which I'm now going to have to redo again, for a totally different year group. It would have been nice to have a heads up about this change beforehand. 5. Nobody else is moving or changing year-groups. I can understand that a change is good for professional development, but nobody else is moving. Nobody else has redone their planning since I have been here. Nobody has tried anything new or aimed to do anything different. What also bothers me is that months ago, I had ordered new furniture for my classroom. The room I have spent two years in is a listed room and certain things can't be touched. I can't put anything on the ceiling, I can't really touch the walls as there's a dark wood panelling that is basically the essence of the room. There's a massive desk, and two ugly cupboards that are currently in there. I planned to get rid of those and replace it with new fresh furniture, and a small workstation to add space to the room. What annoys me about this is that we have done the room swap, my new furniture has arrived for that room and, of course, the room looks kinda like how I wanted it to be. So annoyed. What also pissed me off is that my friend moving into this room has a lot of stuff, and another friend at the school made a bit of a snotty comment about one of the cupboards I ordered, saying "How is all of her stuff going to fit in there?" I bit my tongue, but what I really wanted to say was "I ordered this MONTHS ago, for ME. Not either one of you. This furniture was for me, for my purposes, not yours." I can imagine some of the comments people will make next term about how the room looks miles better than it did. Can definitely see me getting wound up and snapping at someone. Another thing that pisses me off is that the room I have moved into is away from the rest of the junior school. It's in completely another section, not even in the main building where everyone else is. So, yes. Fucked off, to say the least. Edit: Long post is pretty fucking long.

Too late...
-
I've pumped a few more hours into this:
-
I'm at the Tephra caves trying to get some cylinders. Although, there are one or two monsters that are kicking my arse. I have died a lot so far. May switch the voices back to English if I'll be missing out on stuff.
-
I have finally started this behemoth. Only put two hours into it so far, but can already see that this will be very special. First of all, the music is sublime. It's not just a little bit good, it's top class. Beautifully composed. Really gives the game an epic feel to it. I had to switch the voice acting from English to Japanese, because it grated slightly. The characters themselves already seem to have some kind of personality, even so early into the game. It's overwhelming. Seems like there are lots of things to take in, particularly things like affinity, skill trees, etc. Will need to get my head around all of this.

Xpert 11 Season 23: The highlight of the Summer

An X11 meet would be amazing. Although, it would be geeky as hell. -
Yeah, Ferrer's movement is just class. Really enjoyed watching his match yesterday, and couldn't believe his game against Del Potro where he totally annihilated him. Think Andy has done very well against some difficult opponents this year. He could easily have crumbled after losing the first set, but mentally he looks much better than he has done. Some of the shots he made yesterday were sickening. Four semi-finals at Wimbledon in a row shows that he has set the bar high. He's probably got his best opportunity at reaching the final this time around, though. Tsonga is good, but you'd expect Murray to beat him. Exciting times. Don't think my heart could take a Murray-Djokovic final, though.
-
I admit, every time in this game where I think "shit, he's lost it," he ends up pulling something out of the bag with his next shot. I'm not sure about his movement in comparison to some of the other top players. Ferrer, for example, just moves really well, always in the right position for the next shot.
