  1. Awesome stuff, Celtic. Great for them that they got through. In another reality, they could have finished top of the group!
  2. I loooove the trailer for this with Kevin Costner and Russel Crowe providing the voice-overs. The theme/tone for that trailer is just everything I want from a Superman film. Not sure what the finished product will be like, mind. Inspired choice for the song, too. I've watched that trailer maybe 20 or 30 times since originally seeing it.
  3. @Platty, gutted for you, dude. But, if she treated you that way, then you deserve loads better. I will ring Patrice Evra and give him your number. He will appreciate you the way a real man should be appreciated.
  4. I prefer Urban, although I wouldn't really like to live within a full-on concrete jungle, such as inner-city London for example. I'm currently in Bournemouth and feel that it is quite a good balance of both worlds. At the bottom of our garden is the Bournemouth Upper Gardens. We can see squirrels climbing trees, foxes regularly make an appearance in our area and there are horses, donkeys and ponies outside of my school on a regular basis. On the other hand, it's a 10/15 minute walk into town, so I can always just go and get what I need. I don't feel isolated, yet it's not a particularly loud area either. Basically, I'm quite lucky where I am at the moment. There are some lovely areas to go and visit and some of the houses and locations by my school are beautiful. But, there's also civilisation that is quite easy to find. London isn't terribly far away, neither is Southampton, and there are plenty of restaurants within reach, shops, etc. I'm slightly more inclined towards Urban, and I'd guess Ine would say she prefers more Rural. We cancel each other out and have ended up somewhere inbetween.
  5. Tried doing some front squats at home without a rack and it was pretty much a terrible workout. Didn't get what I wanted out of it, it was a struggle and I didn't really push my legs at all. It's not for me. I prefer having the barbell behind me as I can really push the legs. It doesn't feel comfortable having the barbell in front. So, I've finally taken the plunge and have bought a squat stand from Amazon for around 50 quid. I can use the stand for bench pressing, too, which is a huge plus for me. Needed this. My workouts have been going astray at home and I've felt quite limited by what I can do, so far.
  6. Gutted about the game today. I expected to get trashed, but put out a respectable team with decent tactics. Did well with possession and chances, and lost 1-0. Heartbroken. Close game. Would have loved to have taken a point.
  7. God, that first half was both entertaining and traumatic. We looked so shite defensively, but we seemed to score every-time we went forward. Anderson was excellent again, but now he's injured and will struggle for form...again. He has everything to make it at the club except for luck with injuries. If we defend like that next week, we are going to get destroyed. A friend from work heard that we were playing Reading and said, "easy game, eh?" to which I replied, "nope, we'll make hard work of it, as usual." Which we did.
  8. Got a good win over Winston Gardens. I'm more happy with the clean sheet, as we've been leaking goals. Silverdale, next. Going to get torn a new one at their place.
  9. Disappointed a little that the trio of Other M, ExciteTruck and Little King didn't break it into the Top 10. Still, glad to see they're still so high up. So many quality games for the system.
  10. Are you Chelsea? Are you Chelsea? Are you Chelsea in disguiiise? Are. You. Chelsea in Disguiissseee? Bad run, but it was inevitable it was going to happen. Europa League won't have helped there.
  11. I saw this. Pretty funny. : peace: Good game tonight against West Ham. Anderson was a machine and Rafael had another excellent game. Should have won by more than one goal but we couldn't seem to find it. Seems like it's all coming together now. Have to lol at Chelsea. Rafa wants to win over Chelsea fans. Dropping Mata to the bench is not the right way to go about it...
  12. Well done, Peeps. Bit of a joke result, to be honest. Not sure what else I could have done. I over-ran him in midfield, had a midfield rating of 11 compared to his 8, played very offensively when he played a more defensive game, guessed the right defensive tactic to his offensive, yet managed to lose 1-0. At home. It's on a par with that game against Ell where he beat me in similar circumstances. This game just encourages people to play defensively rather than attacking. Four defeats so far out of five, three of which have been by a one-goal margin. Don't feel that I deserve that.
  13. Totally agree. Rafa was a bit of a twat to Chelsea and their fans a few years back. Why should fans suddenly love him now that he's their manager? Reminds me of Neil Warnock who called El Hadji Diouf a sewer rat, and then recently signed up him. Hypocritical. Chelsea had a good manager in Di Matteo. What they really needed was a striker.
  14. Doshin looked brilliant. I am sad that I never played eet. Am I right in assuming that the "belly button" in the first picture is his genitalia?
  15. A good win against QPR yesterday, but we seem to only decide to play now if we're losing. Anderson was a beast when he came on. Not sure if Fergie is using him as an impact sub, or if he just doesn't like him. He deserves more games and has probably been our most exciting midfielder this season. So chuffed to see Darren Fletcher get a goal, as well. Excellent to see him playing for the first team in the league. I watched the Chelsea/City match, earlier. What a load of shite. Torres was woeful, again. A bit better in the second half, but fuck, I still don't understand how he has ended up the way he has. He is either carrying a major injury, or he's just lost the desire to play football altogether. Chelsea badly missed somebody like Drogba, who could hold the ball up and also bullied defenders.
  16. I'm not sure what it is called, as it was a gift from the Mum years ago. Think she found it for a few quid somewhere. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Enigma-Blaster-Wii/dp/B00186NJDK/ref=sr_1_50?ie=UTF8&qid=1353876389&sr=8-50 Think this is the same one. Only downside is that there's no trigger, as that's how you access the nunchuk's C and Z buttons. But, otherwise, I've used it for Dead Space: Extraction and it worked a treat.
  17. I'm not really sure what Reggie could have said differently. If he highlights any issues, then this will ward off gamers and stop them from buying certain titles. He did alright, considering this. You can't really tell an awful lot about new consoles from launch titles. It's only really 12-18 months into a console's lifecycle when you can really see which direction it is going, and that also counts for its graphical power, too. Of course, if this continues to be a problem and ports start looking really bad on the system or something, then there would be a problem.
  18. My Mum is a massive Dallas fan. So much so that she was adamant that my the initials JR be placed in my name somewhere. (doesn't excuse the other 7, but hey). Fantastic series and a great character.
  19. More New Order lovings. I play the compilation album Substance in my car on the way to work.
  20. I've not bought any Christmas presents for anyone. Scrooge, Scrooge, Scrooge.
  21. No, I set a substitution to take place if the game was a draw or worse, to substitute one player for another weaker one to give them experience. Annoying thing is that I set the subs 20 mins before the game. Had I just left it alone, I might've won.
  22. Gutted, to be honest. I think I made the wrong decision by substituting a defender for another (weaker one) at 2-2. The sending off turned the tide, too. I reckon I could have held on to a draw with 11 men. Still, 91st minute winner for Gaggle is hard to take. Two narrow defeats away from home, now.
  23. lol Not surprised at all. Surprised Di Matteo even started this season as Chelsea manager, let alone lasted until November. Nothing to do with him, he's a good manager. But, nobody can fulfil Abramovich's desires. Club is a mess. There's no way that this constant changing of the manager can be justified. Chelsea have been consistently fighting for the league and winning trophies, they're nowhere near a crisis club. What I do find unnerving is that they've sacked a manager and named his replacement all in the space of few hours. Quite disrespectful. I don't really know how any manager can take a job under these circumstances.
  24. Loved today's result. Absolutely loved it. Away from home as well. Take that, you chav! I was ranting and raving about the tactics and team selection in the car home with Ine today. I love this game. Football, phwoar.
