  1. First Glee and now this. You've changed, maaan.
  2. Eating more is quite hard, especially if you're not really used to it. You have to get into the habit of eating more often, be aware of the time and of what you are eating. As for food, you're still a human so don't just eat the same meal everyday. Vary it/mix it up with the likes of fish, quorn and eggs. I've recently been eating more quorn instead of lamb mince, tastes great. Eggs are a god-send, so much you can do with them. Boiled eggs/egg whites for breakfast, scrambled eggs for dinner, an omelette for tea or just as a snack, tons of things you can do. I have poached eggs pretty regularly with my tea. Also, I put off having my leg day yesterday and am doing it tonight, because I took the plunge and bought the weights. 2 25kg cast iron weight plates. Post man is a hero for carrying them down 2 flights of stairs down to my ground floor flat.
  3. Dragooooo *whimpers*
  4. Why have him, though? Even Ell knows a 20 4 keeper is useless. :p Are you going to spin the usual Liverpool line of "He'll come good in the end"?
  5. (to the tune of She'll be coming round the mountain)

  6. We've lost quite a few games by one-goal and we've not really had a problem with scoring. Saying that, today's game is just another joke, tbh. Prepared for his formation, destroyed him in midfield (got a midfield rating of 12 and had 5 in there compared with his 4), played very offensively with two strikers with excellent teamwork values and fairly high form (Team rating of 10) yet only created 5 chances...Also, as if this game doesn't want to piss me off even more, I saw one of my defenders red carded AND he gets a penalty later on. What I don't get is how he can create 5 chances as well, the same as me, away from home. Couldn't really have picked a better formation/stronger line-up to counter-act his...this game is just designed to annoy me at times. Good game, bastard. :p
  7. I've seen quite a few films this year. The Artist - Didn't know an awful lot about it, but loved every second. Saw this in January, I think. Fantastic and definitely recommended! The Expendables 2 - Couldn't help but love it. It's obviously a piss-take, not very serious, trying to push the film/boundaries as far as is acceptable, but it is far, far superior to the first. The first was an experiment whereas this had a fair bit more going on for it. Brave - A bit odd. It's got an excellent middle section but the beginning and ending are a bit weak. Still a decent film and just above average, but not up there with the likes of UP or Toy Story. Prometheus - It was ok but I can't help but feel disappointed with what Ridley Scott created. There are some neat ideas in this, but it would have been a lot better had he taken out all of the references to Alien and just made this its own standalone film/series/franchise. The Dark Knight Rises - Best film of the year by quite some margin. I wasn't sure about the title before seeing it, but I loved all the references to "Rise", you could probably write an essay on it. Tom Hardy nailed it as Bane. Not sure why people are comparing his performance with Heath Ledger's Joker when it has a lot more in-common with Liam Neeson's Ra's Al-Ghul. The fight scene in the sewer is one of the best things I've ever seen, even better second time around on DVD. The Hobbit - Biggest disappointment, probably tied with Prometheus. Doesn't even compare to the quality of the Lotr trilogy, didn't find it very magical/hugely interesting to watch. Might be better second time around, but generally felt meh about this one. The Amazing Spiderman - Andrew Garfield is far better than that shite Tobey Maguire was in the original trilogy, and Emma Stone is far more watchable and likeable than Kirsten Dunst. However, there are scenes in this which ruin the film, and stop it from becoming "good' and instead it's merely "average". The crane scene ruins all the good work that came before it. Men in Black 3 - Expected it to be terrible, pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed it, thought it had good humour in a lot of places. Josh Brolin did a great job. Would recommend. Looper - Excellent viewing. Reminds me of Twelve Monkeys in a way, for some reason. JGL played his part really well and the film had quite a few awesome moments without ever becoming really corny or cheesy. Will probably get this on Dvd in the future. Might be one or two more that I've missed or forgotten. Didn't get around to seeing Skyfall as I had no time. Didn't bother with The Avengers as I'm not really into Marvel (didn't like the Iron Man films, not bothered by Thor, didn't like either of the previous Hulk films) and didn't see The Hunger Games but may catch on DVD at some point.
  8. The squat rack is actually really useful for the military press. I've done it both with and without. With the rack, it means you don't waste any of your energy/risk straining yourself getting the weight up into the right position before you actually start the movement. With the rack, it's already in that position, so you just unrack it, press, re-rack. I've never really seen any guys Military Press when I've been in the gym. They almost always just dumbbell shoulder press instead.
  9. Not really in a position to get his own way though, is he? He can either play wherever Rodgers puts him, or he can think about the times he was sitting on that lovely Chelsea bench, again.
  10. Leg day for me tomorrow. I've been able to add in more of these lately. Hated the fact that my gym only had 1 squat rack, and it was either being used or someone had taken the bar to do curls or some shit. I can feel some strength returning, but I'm limited to around 75kg since that's all the weight I have. Might just take the plunge and treat myself to the new weight plates for my birthday.
  11. Pretty much what I think. He's gone from big club to big club without showing anything. (I use the term "big club" lightly :p) He's very fortunate to have been in the position where he's played for City, Chelsea and now Liverpool at his age. Personally, I think he'd be right at home at a club such as Fulham, or even the likes of Stoke or West Ham. I feel he should be plying his trade there, playing week in week out before going to another big club. He has an advantage at being able to play wide or central, which is his saving grace, imo. He'll fit in with Liverpool, because they can play him wide when they want (which they'll probably do) or central if Suarez has to go off for whatever reason. Ba would have been a good buy, but then they'd be forced to play him through the middle, since he doesn't like going wide. And, he isn't going to displace Suarez, and Liverpool won't play with 2 strikers. So, unless they put Suarez in the hole (an option) or Suarez is injured, Ba wouldn't really get a game.
  12. Just to add a few more: Shaun Maloney has been top for Wigan, as has James McArthur. When he's played, Anderson has also been a big player for us. Dejageh for Fulham is pretty decent, as well. All better than Henderson. :p I'd take Mikel off that list. He's been gash this season for Chelsea.
  13. We could maybe do two separate awards ceremonies? One for Forum and one for Gaming? Could even be an opportunity to open it up to the people who frequent the news comments sections.

  17. You two will be excellent cannon-fodder for the likes of Graciano Velho and Gregor Forsyth to test their skills on. In fact, Graciano would walk into both your teams! Tomorrow is Le Magnifique. I can't wait. DRAGOOOOO take on AC Elites at Stade de Dragooooonia.
  18. I second that call!
  19. What aboot Best Xpert11 team of the Season? Manager of the Season? Shit like that.
  20. It could be that no other Liverpool fans are here to back you up, but I've not heard a word get said about him all season. I still don't really rate him. He has time on his side, mind.
  21. Yes, in terms of players who have been great for their clubs. Carrick has been great for us and Aguero has been excellent for City. Henderson has been passable at best for Liverpool.
  22. I didn't say that at all. :p I said he hasn't been terrible, but that doesn't mean he's suddenly become "great". He's not great. Suarez has been great this season, carried the team (especially in terms of goal-threat), Sterling has performed really well, too. Henderson has done better than he did last season, in which he was almost invisible. That's it.
  23. It all begins, again. To start off the new year, my arms and back are sore from deadlifting/back and bicep training.
  24. Great isn't really the word I'd use. Just because he hasn't been awful doesn't really make him great. He's done ok, that's fair to say. I'd use the word great to describe someone like Aguero or even Carrick, who has been great for us this season. You really wouldn't put Henderson in a league with those two, the way they've been playing this season. Very happy with our game against Wigan. We looked more defensively solid, another clean sheet, which is the best part of the victory, imo. Hernandez should have scored about 5 or 6 goals, one of his best performances I've seen.
  25. You should be ashamed for not watching it sooner. One of my favourites. EVAAAAR.
