  1. He's mine, fuck off! With a training cone, I know it means he keeps high form. Is the DV rising/Skill rising linked in with age as well as high form? So, even if he's say 30 and still has really high form, he won't raise a level because he's old? How does it work with age?
  2. Challenge ACCEPTED. - that's me wearing my Chewwy t-shirt. Forgot about that. That's another geeky one to add to the list. That's on New Year's Eve. - chestburster t-shirt, with a friend. I pull weird faces on camera/in real life. - my Muttley t-shirt! It's a bit small on me now. This was taken many years ago before I really started exercising. - old photo of me in Disneyland, fucking around with the pirate stuff. This is about 3 years old.
  3. Oh yeah, they'll have a benefit sometimes. But, in general, if you played 4-2-4 against decent stronger teams on a regular basis, you'd get turned over a fair bit. That midfield is too weak, unless you've got 2 really, really highly skilled and high form players. I've not got the guts to do it, yet. Never even tried 5-2-3, seems too weak in midfield again, for me. I'd be willing to give 5-3-2 a try, most likely with long balls. Sometimes, I wish the game were dynamic enough to accept different formations when you change substitutes. For example, if you're playing 4-4-2 and are losing, you could sacrifice a midfielder for a striker and it would change to 4-3-3. Pretty sure that would mess up the preparations though, such as when your opponent prepares against your formation, maybe. Ok, need advice again: I've been recommended a 20 6 midfielder with a training cone, leader and stamina. To me, he seems like an absolute must, but I'm wondering if I should be looking for somebody younger?
  4. Ah, ok. What about this? Not really the face, but the body.
  5. Missing out on Remy will hurt you unless you manage to bag another striker in this window. Can see Newcastle struggling for goals. Also, if Colo does go, you'll start shipping in more goals. It doesn't look good looking at that table. One win might start to change things.
  6. That's good going. Quite similar to how I broke past the 95kg mark. I had a really bad day at work where one of the kids was very rude to me. I went home that night very pissed off and woke up the next morning still annoyed. Back then, I used to go to the gym before work and so was up at 5:30 or so, fuming with rage. Went to the gym to deadlift and was on 95kg. Handled it, and thought raaargh, let's just add more weight. Tried 100kg, which I had never done up until that point. Hmm, seemed fine. Added 10kg, just to take the piss. Still fine. Then, I thought I'd push my luck and add another 10kg. Did it, the anger was fueling me to lift that weight up. Surprised myself. It really is amazing what you can do when you just push yourself to do it. I tried it again about a week later and managed to do it, so I knew it wasn't a fluke. Was happy. Did some back work tonight, using the heavy 25kg plates for the second time. Trying to work my way back up to the heavy stuff. Managed to get back to 100kg for 5 reps, but my grip wasn't strong enough to go past that. Tried 105kg for two, and didn't feel confident enough to go past that with my grip. Need to work on that. Actually, might be more than that because I'm not taking into account the weight of the bar. It's this one. One of the reviews says that the weight of the bar is close to 8kg. Not sure about that.
  7. You're crazy, though. Surprised you didn't play your goalie up front. :p Oh My God, Yes. It doesn't really make sense. In theory, an offensive team should mean a team that plays the ball forward and therefore creates more. A defensive team would be a team that sits back and soaks up pressure. Yes, they would hit you on the counter, but they shouldn't really be creating a heap of chances. Certainly not more than a team playing offensive.
  8. I...didn't even think of that! Ok, or the Most Attractive Feature of the Same Sex.
  9. I was in my early 20s, studying at University whilst also working nearly everyday in a job in the city. I was finding it quite tough and was struggling to find my place in the world. Then, this little beauty came along and made my worries go away for a few hours. That opening hour, especially with the cutscene right at the beginning just blew me away. Pure Nintendo magic on a disc.
  10. Yeah, it seems to be an underused formation. I see 5-3-2 used more often than 4-3-3, almost. Only seen 4-2-4 used once. Never going to try that. I know Dragooooo play offensive, but that is just batshit crazy. You will get about 15% possession with that. :p
  11. I'm going to jump right in and say buuuum. Aside from the obvious, hair is very important. Shiny, shiny hair! Can be a deal maker or breaker for me. :p
  12. Need some advice, gentlemen. It's regarding formations. Let's say that I was playing 4-3-3 with offensive tactics. Am I right in suggesting that the number of chances depends on the midfielders as well as the strikers? What if I had, say, a pair of 11 rated strikers and a 9, yet played with a couple of 6's and a 7 in midfield. Would I still create more chances because the strikers are good, or would I actually create less because the midfield was weak? I'm basically just wondering how important the midfield is in the game. In reality, if you played 4-3-3 with a weak midfield, unless you played long balls, you'd create nothing.
  13. Was going to post something similar to that. Arsenal probably did the right thing in this situation.
  14. I feel the same about Mr. Odwin.
  15. I'm sorry, but... I don't mean to be annoying, but... I'm not racist, but...(usually followed by saying something that is probably racist) I'm not being awful, but...
  16. In our flat, we have an original GameBoy, a GameBoy Color, Advance, Nintendo DS, DSlite and 3DS. The only Pokemon game I will play is Pokemon Yellow. Looking at what Nintendo has done since then (not really counting Gold and Silver), they have missed huge opportunities for change. I regard it on the same sort of level as Animal Crossing, where Nintendo seek to do the bare minimum instead of changing their approach and improve the series even further. People are not asking for extremely realistic graphics or huge FMVs. What we simply want are what the originals offered but on a much bigger and grander scale. A better narative. More subplots. A fully-blown RPG about Pokemon. I remember playing Wild World on the DS and really connecting with it. "I can't wait to see how this looks on the next Nintendo home console," I thought. It looked the same. Played the same. Was the same. "Maybe the 3DS version will prove it." In a very minute way, you could possibly argue that. EA often get called out on their reluctance to change their franchises up. You can't call out the likes of Fifa without equally implicating games such as New Super Mario Bros. or the Pokemon series. They deserve it.
  17. I fluked those t-shirts completely. Found them in Zara of all places for £5 each. Yes. The only downside is that the sizes don't fully fit my body. Think I bought large for the helmet one. They're good workout t-shirts.
  18. I usually get the majority of these t-shirts from friends for birthday or Christmas gifts. The Gremlins ones are: - only just realised that this is what I'm wearing right now. Except that my Mum FAAAAACKED UUUP and ruined this in the wash when I went to visit her. It is now blue grey. I almost cried. If image doesn't show for the second one, go here. - colour is better in real life. More vivid. Can't find a picture of the other Animal t-shirt, but I have two of them, both in incorrect sizes. Got one as a Christmas present from a pupil, and one as a birthday present from a friend. The exact same t-shirt, twice. I use them as sleeping t-shirts. Also, just remembered that I have this: Logo is in red. This suffered the same fate as my Gremlins one and is now ruined. It's now a grey blue colour. Looks shit.
  19. Another one: Swings and Roundabouts. I'm getting angry just typing this sheeet.
  20. They use touch base in a way that means making contact with someone. So, touching base with a parent means making contact with them, speaking to them after school or organising a meeting. I can only assume it has something to do with rocket launches into space. So, arriving back home would be touching base, or arriving home. IT'S SHIT ANYWAY. WHO CAAARES WHAT IT MEEEANS.
  21. Just started watching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I want to watch this and pretend that 3 never happened. Or, actually, it makes 3 that little bit more acceptable. Possibly. Either way, I like it. The tone and style is on a par with the first two films.
  22. I realise that certain things that people say (certain phrases) are gradually beginning to annoy me. Particularly in the work-place. The one that seems to be used very often where I work is "so we're all singing from the same hymn sheet". I haaaaate that saying so much. One of my friends uses it quite often and I told her it grinds, yet she still continues to use it. The other one is "touch base".
