The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Fierce_LiNk replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Both threads were started today. :p It's a bit of a shame that there isn't more of a discussion around this. It has the potential to be something quite radical. An open-world Zelda? Yes, please! Although, of course we need more information. It should be fun to speculate. Only thing that concerns me is the narrative. So poorly handled in Skyward Sword that it may as well have not had a story. If this is going to be fairly open-world/or heavy open world, this raises even more questions about its story-telling. -
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

Legend of Zelda WiiU thread: Just about on 2 pages. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD: 4 pages. Who says that HD-ports/remakes are not needed? :p -
Yeah, I've looked on Youtube and have seen quite a few gifs already on forums, too. Clearly Hazard kicks the ball. The ballboy acts like a bit of a prick and falls onto the ball. Hazard is annoyed and kicks the ball, which can clearly be seen popping out on the opposite side of the player, as a result of being kicked. Stupid red card. If that went against a United player, I wouldn't be happy.

I don't really care if the game is brand new or not, only if it is affordable. Majority of my Wii games are 2nd hand. Almost the entirety of my N64 and Cube collection are preowned. The only exceptions will be if the game is some sort of collectors edition, in which case you'll want it to look new and shiny. But, otherwise, why waste money? Why spend 40-odd quid when you can buy 2 or even three games (possibly even including that one you wanted at full price) for that value. When you can buy a game like Trauma Centre: Second Opinion for £2, you're laughing all the way to the bank.

Newcastle sign Yoan Gouffran on a 4 and a half year deal. Good news for them. Will have to see the Hazard incident myself. But, the ball boy's job is to give the ball back to the players, to keep playing continuing. Holding onto the ball is just bullshit.

I wanted to be leaf. Nintendo did not disappoint. Yoshi should be great, although I hope it develops a style of its own, rather than living in the shadow of Kirby's Epic Yarn. Confirmation that certain games will be shown and playable at E3 is a great start. Wonderful 101 looks fun. Wind Waker HD looks nice for those that want it. (I don't care) Fire Emblem cross-over should be sweet, although I need to see moar. XENOFUCKINGBLADE stuff made me cry. More of this please, Nintendo. Can't wait for E3 now. Hype Hype Hype. -
It's worth trying out if you can. Only criticism is that it can be overwhelming with how much there is to do. But, otherwise, it's a wonderful game. Head and shoulders above the last Zelda by some distance. The music. Worth playing for that alone.

Thanks, dude. I use mixed grip as I found I could lift more/it was less strain on the forearms than overhand. I may go back to overhand only and see how that works. Yeah, resetting between reps can help, especially with just mentally preparing for the next lift. Definitely not going to resort to straps. The grip is the problem, so that's what needs improving. Using straps just goes around the problem rather than solving it. If you're feeling discomfort or pain in the neck when squatting, it could be because the bar isn't resting properly. It should be more on the shoulder blades/traps rather than the neck. More so the traps. I've never used any padding for it.

Not really fair to say he's far better than Danny Welbeck when the two are nothing like. Danny is still learning and has already done really well to even cement his place at United, considering he's up against the likes of Rooney and Van Persie every week. His link-up play is excellent and he has probably played better than any of our wingers this season when playing out there, which shows how well he can adapt. I rate him very highly and think he has been great to watch this season. Shooting needs improvement, but as a strike partner he is probably the best we have at the club.

Allergic to amazing games or something? :p Oh, God...I swear I saw God for a moment watching this trailer. YEEEESSSSSSSSssssssss. Not even finished Xenoblade yet, but this alone pretty much seals the WiiU purchase for me. Nintendo, why you no do moar games like this?!

You can work on that, though? It's not a total loss. I've bought poor compatibility players before and although it took some time, they did great in the end. Pretty sure Ernesto was poor when he came but he's a 25 10 now and has excellent compatibility.

No love for The Rocky Horror Picture Show? Haven't seen it for a long time. Might be due another watch.

That feel when you bid on a player and the clock in ticking down...you keep waiting for somebody to outbid you. Squeaky bum time.

Pfft, Mario Kart needs fresh blood. Just merge the 2. Mario Kart's roster with Diddy's mechanics and innovation. -
I really like it. But yes, Portman is exactly how you put it. I assumed Leon would smash her, but he didn't.

The dream would be Nintendo realise how much they are messing up Mario Kart and just give the whole lot to Monster. They then give the next Zelda to Retro. Make me be leaf, Nintendo. -
Oh God, Torres is going to have shit thrown at him if he plays if Chelsea play them and he still doesn't score. Hope it happens now. Would be hilarious. I really think that would be it for him if that happened.

Not really sure about all of these posts about the Wiimote being uncomfortable to hold when pointing at the screen. I've played Pro Evo for hours and hours on end whilst using the playmaker controls (meaning you are dragging things on screen, making runs, etc) and it has never once felt uncomfortable or straining. Even with a shooter it feels fine to me. Generally, if you are straining whilst doing something, it's usually because you're doing something wrong. I've used the 'Mote and 'Chuk controls for Brawl. Have also used Wavebird. Both are fine for the game. Neither really benefits it or harms it, so both are acceptable. Majority of the time, I use the Wii controls just because I'm used to how they feel now.

Let's do eeet. Let's go Dragooooo Let's GO.

Well done, Bradford! Happy for them! If Villa don't go down this year, it'll be a miracle. They haven't played good football in a long time. Think relegation might do them good.

Dragooooo will answer the call.

Mario Kart WiiU? WiiMusicWiiU? -
Squatted for the first time with the new bar. Had 97.5kg in plates on the bar and managed to go for two sets of 3 reps. Might have done more on a better day, but work was tiring. Before that, managed 95 for 6. Weighed the bar afterwards out of curiosity to see if it really is 8kg and it turns out that it is! Bringing the total weight to 105.5 for 3 or 103kg for 6. Both are higher than my previous best which was 100kg. Now I've broken down that barrier, I feel a bit more confident that I can squat more now. A bit depressing that my squat is almost equal to my deadlift...need to improve that grip.
