Aliens: Colonial Marines - Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen
Fierce_LiNk replied to gaggle64's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Haha, at this rate we will outsell the WiiU version of Colonial Marines. :p -
My new favourite things are all of the Thanks Obama gifs that are floating around. 'Mericans make me laugh.

Aliens: Colonial Marines - Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen
Fierce_LiNk replied to gaggle64's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Good man! It can be tough at times. The best part about the game is the fact that if one of your characters dies, that's it. They are gone. It makes you care about each one. :p -
I bet you wish you had Gareth Bale's left foot tonight. Not surprising. West Brom have played good football all season AND can finish their chances. Liverpool are exactly where they deserve to be. They're not good enough to fight for the top 4 or Europa, they're not bad enough to be relegation contenders. Midtable.

Xpert 11 Season 26: Space to move, Space to breath, Space to win

Lol at the fact that Ell apparently has a stronger team, yet finished bottom, below Dragooooo and Winstons Shed. Smells like shite management to me. -
Facebook is a bit overwhelming at times. It's decent for organising events, but there can be times where you get notifications and you don't even look at them. They just seem like +1s...I usually click off those things without even reading them. Plus, half of the events people are organising are meaningless. I tend to find that any actual events get sorted through text or in person anyway.

I was about 10 years old and I fell down the stairs after tripping over a basketball. Would have been hilarious if I weren't me. But I was. And it hurt! I laugh when I'm at a train station or something and there's one flight of stairs and you see a queue of about 20 people lining up for the lift, waiting to go up to the next floor. I wave at them from the top.

Awww yeeeeeah. New season starts tomorrow!

Aware me more on this "Fantasy Life"? The title sounds like a Sims imitation.

Super Cereal. I wouldn't eat it or even try it because I haven't got good memories of mice or rats. I don't feel comfortable even being in the same room as one. The attachment you have with the animal is quite important. I'm not sure how comfortable I would feel eating chickens if we kept some as pets. Same with cats, I wouldn't want to try it because of where it came from. Plus, once you have those kinds of thoughts, it's not easy to shake off. Some people will eat anything, some are more picky. I guess I fall into that latter category.
-
Not sure if cereal. Can't stand the sight of rats, they are my one real weakness (after coughing and blowing my nose at the same time). I can't stomach the idea of eating one.
-
Heeey, bitches. It is a bit ridiculous. Weights, fiiine, no real injuries ever suffered there. Twisted knee once after running, that was quite painful. Coughing aaaand blowing your nose at the same time, muscles wouldn't have any of it. Was incredibly painful. I've never been more aware of my spine before then. The silly thing is that I hurt both my back and chest with that, going to bed for the last 2 nights has been horrible.
-
That's my view on it. You should know what you're eating. Reminds me of Demolition Man when Stallone eats Ratburgers. Can't even contemplate that idea.

Not sure if posted already, but Forum Shuffle sounds like some sort of Hillbilly dance.

Stairs are fine, as long as they aren't the annoying type with too many steps placed close together. Really fucks up your rhythm. Also, stairs on leg-workout day are horrible. You're at the top and you think all is good, and then you take the first step and it's like this: - from about 1:40 onwards. Your legs feel clunky and heavy. Horrible. Going UP is even worse.

Animal Crossing and Little King's Story (or something to that effect) I love the real-time aspect of Animal Crossing, but Nintendo haven't expanded on it one bit. It feels too enclosed. Whereas Little King is fantastic in the way that you expand outwards and continue to build your empire. Merge the two together. Make it something new. Animal Story or Little King's Crossing or some sheeeet like that. You are in charge of your kingdom and the whole games takes place in real-time. You can go out there and challenge other kingdoms for their land and so forth, but you can also have the option to just stay at home and chill out, doing loads of sidequests. Imagine having a huuuge wealth of options, like being able to decide exactly what your kingdom looked like, playing specific objects around the village. Then, commercialising it and transforming your village into a thriving city. It would give Animal Crossing a bit more scope and purpose, and it would keep all of the good stuff from Little King, whilst adding even more charm to it. With the WiiU's Gamepad, it would be so easy to control your troops and place objects to build around your city. TAKE MY MONEY, NINTENDO.

Surprised there wasn't a thread about this. I'mma get in there naw. Apparently tests are now showing that Tesco Everyday Value Spaghetti Bolognese contains 60% horsemeat. Seems like everyone is in on it. Anyone ever tasted eet?

I'm a huge fan of these changes, especially the merging of the WiiU and 3DS boards into one collective Nintendo Gaming Area. The problem beforehand is that you have 2 boards that are about half full, the 3DS board was busier than the WiiU one, but on the whole both boards weren't really thriving. Going back to the Cube-Europe days, it's sometimes better to have less. It's better to split things up when the areas are much busier, using sub-forums and the like, but it wouldn't work at this present moment in time. It hasn't worked. So, rather than having 2 areas that do have a handful of regular visitors, it makes much more sense to me to merge them into one. It's quite common on many forums to have threads that slip to page 2 and 3 and still be active. Beforehand, at this place, you would have threads that were last posted in about a week previously that were still on the front page. Yes, the odd thread might slip to page two that is still active, but if it's generating discussion and is an exciting thread to post in, then surely it won't slip? We need to get out of this mindset that anything past page 1 is old and forgotten. If we can do that, then we'll see many more threads. Lastly, this is a new era for this place. What keeps this place going are the visitors and posters. We need more. If you want to be able to separate the boards up, we need the posters to make this worthwhile. Spread the word, let this place grow and it will thrive.

It's hilarious. Gary Neville actually compliments Ronaldo in the article. The article itself isn't bad, but the fact that on BBC Sportsday they're trying to make it sound "controversial" is so retarded.

Great win! 3 points and a clean sheet, just what we need before the Madrid game. Rafael was fantastic. : peace:

Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens
Fierce_LiNk replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Chit Chat
Mace Windu is a funny one. I remember watching Episode 2 back in the day and thinking that Samuel L. Jackson was incredible, a total badass. It's only when you go back and watch the films later that you realise how incredibly out of place his character is in this universe and how it throws the rest of the film. Both he and Anakin are awful in Episode 2. Not even just a bit awful, but worthy of an award for just how terrible they are. The mere idea of Mace returning in any capacity is preposterous and shows you just how far from grace this franchise has fallen. Would rather Abrams used his creative talent to do something new with science fiction. -
Hart is the best English keeper, no doubt about it. But, he seems immune from criticism a lot of the time. For every De Gea mistake, there's one for Hart. Not hating on the guy because he is a great keeper and is the obvious England Number 1...but he still has a lot to learn. As for the race, it's never over until it's mathematically impossible for anyone else to win it. Look what happened last season. We are more than capable of fucking it up. :p Yup. Wouldn't expect our media to draw much attention to it, though. It's far easier to print more stories about De Gea flapping at crosses. It's unfair to moan about TV rights when that money goes towards paying the wages of our players and making the club what it is. If you want to be able to sign the likes of Van Persie, you need to adhere to that sorta stuff. As for Bale, he's got the potential to become a great player, but he's not "as good as Ronaldo"...he's doing a wonderful job at Spurs, but Ronaldo was heads and shoulders above a United team with the likes of Rooney, Tevez and Berbatov, and is still by far in a different league to the players at Madrid. Look at Ronaldo's goal scoring stats...42 goals in 49 in 07-08, 53 in 54 for 10-11 and 60 in 55 last season. In comparison, this is Bale's best season with 15 in 29, which is still fantastic, but it's not anywhere near as crazy as Ronaldo. Fuck, Ronaldo's stats are just insane...182 in 179 for Real Madrid in all comps. I'm not usually one for looking at stats, but oh my fuck at those. He's a machine. Gareth Bale will have had a very, very good career if he comes anywhere near that.

A bit of a strange game, that. Not very high scoring and a bit too negative at times. Chuffed that Wales managed to win it, although I was sure the player's legs were out of play before he grounded the ball. Didn't expect the try to be given, but relieved when it was. Tomorrow's game is the one to watch. Should be high scoring.

So, Joe Hart made a mistake. (not his first this season) Will our media criticise him the way De Gea gets it?
