Just for the record, this isn't intended to be a "haters" thread. It's just a relatively simple question: Are you hyped for the Wii? Yes or no, or maybe somewhere in the middle? Just because the opening post was a somewhat negative post doesn't mean I've made this thread for us all to jump on and "hate the WiiU". It's simply seeing what other forumers think. Not every thread has to be filled with sunshine and rainbows. I'm slightly alarmed that we don't know all that much about the WiiU's online system, which is something previous Nintendo consoles have been picked up on in the past. Given that there are so many things that we don't know about, I can't really blame people for being sceptical about this. Again, just for the record, I WILL be picking one up in the future, because it's a Nintendo system and they will no doubt do something to blow our minds.

I can't wait til we play next season. I swear, if there was an option to play with 10 attackers, I would. :p Also, change reports: When does this happen? Should be tomorrow, right? I'm dreading it for my more experienced players as my oldest defender only got 8dv as he was injured for parts of the season. I've also promoted my younger keeper to first choice, meaning the older keeper will lose skill as he didn't get to 10. But, it's a decision worth making.

A and B = first two letters of the alphabet. So, I understand that. Could have easily been 1 and 2. Maybe it was thought at the time that people responded better to letters than numbers? Possibly. X and Y like the axis of a graph. That's how I always saw it. It's probably wrong but that's how I've always seen it.

That's what I meant by the idea of a waiting list. So, for example, if I wanted to leave after season 1, then if there's somebody on the list, they can come in and make up those numbers. Also, it's not so much the numbers as it is the boundaries. For example, if we know that in the Lower league, only one team will be promoted, then that's fine as everyone knows beforehand. If you're told it once the season ends, then it isn't fair on anyone. Just so we all know what we're working towards.

Well, are you? I ask this question because it dawned on me that I am not. Months ago I didn't feel hyped (as a result of E3), but I was fine with that, assuming that I would feel that "rush" the closer it neared to the launch of the WiiU. It's just over a month away 'til the launch, yet I feel nothing. I don't have that argue to see what the controller feels like, I don't have that buzz about seeing NintendoLand, or even that curiosity about the online specifications...which I don't know a thing about. Does anybody know? Do we have friendcodes or usernames, or something else? The worrying thing is that I just don't care.

Ok. So you could even have something like 12/11/11? Maybe we need to have some sort of agreement for all participants in the league. Say, for example, we all sign up and agree to play for three seasons. We could then review it at the end of the 3 seasons and if somebody wants to leave, they can, meaning we have the opportunity to review the structure? It would then give new players an opportunity to join the league. (we could even have a waiting list and if somebody wants to leave after one season, providing there is somebody willing to take their place/waiting, we can do that)
-
That wouldn't be fair on new teams. They would get totally trashed. Three leagues is right, I reckon. Plus, it would just result in the teams from the Bigger League getting relegated and then going on to win the Little League, in a constant state of flux.

Some of the scenes from the Leeds game yesterday was unreal. If they don't receive some sort of hefty punishment, then there is no hope for the sport. Poor security, too. Also, have to lol at Chelsea saying that they'll keep John Terry on as captain. They've given him a heavy fine and say that's enough. The Spurs/Chelsea game is crazy at the moment. Could finish 6-6.
-
What are the options? I don't know technically how it all works with numbers of teams in leagues, but I think I remember the Elite league having more teams in previous years? Isn't that right? I remember some sort of wait when I was in the lower league whilst the Elite league finished up? Does it strictly have to be a 10/10/10 split between the three leagues?

How exactly is it an awful attitude? Ell said himself that he didn't expect a win and his formation and tactics back it up. He went out to stop me from winning the league and I would expect nothing less (we wind each other up - so this was expected). Also, my points have been completely fair. Ell should have been in the lower league this season, along with Gaggle, yet they're now getting promoted, with Gaggle even pipping me to the title. Considering that I put a lot of effort and energy into keeping my team in the league last season (I finished fourth, when I could have been relegated at the start), it may as well have been for nothing. It's a game and I play to win. Part of this is banter, part of this is that I'm wound up and have had an incredibly shit end to the week (see bad stuff thread, culminating in me having to spend 230+ quid on a car that barely cost much more than that). This game is awesome, I love it, but fuck me, is it completely unfair at times. Where's the drama in a relegation fight if teams are going to stay up anyway? Last season was awesome with any one of 5 teams/possibly 6 fighting for survival. The start of the new season put a dampener on that when 2 of those 3 were allowed to stay up. I appreciate sometimes it's hard to do something about it when teams drop out, but it just isn't fair. Just for the record, if I get relegated next season, I want to remain relegated, even if there is a shortage of numbers. I want to play this game the right way. Also: I made that post on the very first page when we found out that the Submarines would be relegated but Ell and Gaggle would stay up. So, this "you only cared cost you lost" argument isn't accurate. If I didn't enjoy this game, I wouldn't go to such great lengths to argue my point.

Want to know what else is unfair? The team that finished first and the team that play the worst brand of anti-football in the league shouldn't have been playing Middle League football this season. They were both relegated last season, should have been in the lower leagues this season and have denied other teams their full right to challenge for the title. Total farce. I'm in for the cup, but I don't give a shite above it. I'll do it because I have nothing better to do.
-
Sorry, I can't hear you above the sound of your injustice and clear anti-football. The stats prove themselves. You've played more games than you've scored goals. That's shit football! Attacking football didn't win today. I still fail to see how playing 5-3-2 defensive means that you'll create more chances than somebody who plays 3-4-3 at home with offensive tactics. What makes it even worse is that I also marked his playmaker and had near to a million econ in win bonus...how? Just, how? My players had pretty high form, too. My midfield and attacking ratings were just so much better, too. I just don't understand it. Does the game roll some kind of imaginary dice?

This is the Nintendo console version of a third party game. It won't have any key features that will appear on other consoles. There will be some bullshit excuse, as per usual. Who are we trying to kid? This isn't even FIFA 13. It's FIFA 12. On WiiU.
-
Seriously? Seriously? What a shit way to end the season. This game defies all fucking logic. I can understand perhaps not winning the game, but losing it? Are you fucking kidding me? He played 5-3-2 DEFENSIVE, yet had more chances than my offensive formation and tactics. In fact, I had 59% of the ball and created no chances? HOW? That doesn't make sense in so many ways. I didn't even believe I'd get promoted this season, so finishing second is fine. But, to lose a game like this irritates me. It doesn't make any fucking sense. Considering I out-manned him in midfield and got good offensive and midfield team ratings, it doesn't make sense that I didn't even win the game, let alone lost it. 5-3-2, Defensive, away from home. Winning 1-0. Really? Typical Chelsea fan/behaviour. What a shit way to end the day.

What a shiiiiiit day. On so many levels. Yesterday, the road that leads to my work was flooded. The car had to swim through water, and another car had broken down on the way there as it couldn't handle the water. Today, my car wouldn't start. I predicted that the starter motor had gone, and it had done. AA came out, started me up, after which I drove to the garage. Today was important as we have our class assembly, as well as the Harvest assembly in the afternoon. I missed the class assembly, meaning the class had to do it by themselves. They did well apparently, but I would have liked to have been there. When I took the car to the garage, I ended up having to walk home about 30 or so minutes. I then got a phonecall from a work friend who offered to drive back and pick me up, which was nice. I had enough time to get another shower as I needed one, to wash away the rage. Got into work and there was absolutely no point in me being there today. We did fuck all apart from rehearse. I did no teaching whatsoever, nobody had a clue what they were doing, and it was chaotic. So, that was annoying. I picked up the car after work, only to find that when driving up-hill, the engine warning light started flashing. Only on hills. I took the car back to the garage, to which they said that it needed more work (after looking again) and that it would cost me an additional 90 quid, as well as the 136 for the starter motor and labour. To top it all off, I lost my final Xpert11 match of the season against Ellmeister, which meant I finished second instead of first. A lovely way to kick a guy when he is down.

I was just messing around, pretty much. Also, anything with Die Another Day in is just going to taint everything else. As is evident here. It's sad. In theory, a Bond Legends game has the potential to be amazing. But, as you say, there's so much wrong with it. A shame, considering that I loved the Goldeneye re-imagining.
-
This game will blow. Why? Because it doesn't have any material that references everybody's favourite Bond film. Yes. Die Another Day. All they had to do was put in a level or two from there. A line here or there. Then, watch as the money rolls in. Hey, wait a minu-

It's a mind control device. The button just activates your thoughts. Ever had that problem where you wanted to shoot in FIFA but you cross the ball at the vital moment? This controller would solve that. Think of shooting. Press the button. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOALLLL.
-
Hells yes! I was referencing that. Although, I have no idea what Nintendo were thinking with that one. I don't understand how it would work. :p
-
I...don't actually know the button layout for the SNES. If you asked me to say from memory which button was which, I wouldn't be able to say. I just figure out what each button does and remember that. Muscle memory. I'd rather we have one GIANT button that did everything. In Fifa, it would pass, shoot, dribble, run and cancel. All at the same time.
-
God, the passing in the game earlier was awful. Such a bad game. I don't know how Poland didn't win that.
-
I'm not looking forward to the Elite League, to be honest. Going to get my arse handed to me. The gap between the Elite and Middle is too big, at the moment. But, Dragooooo will fight. Dragooooo will never surrender. DRAGOOOOO NEVER SAY DIE.
-
I battered and destroyed Charlie's team 5-1 away from home. The league will probably get decided on goal difference. Unless Ell acts like the chav that he is and puts out a 10-0-0 formation when he makes his way to the Republic of DRAGOOOOOnia.
-
That was such a farce. What a mess. No point in having a fucking roof if you're not going to use it.

I dunno, I'm craving a racer at the moment. Aside from ExciteTruck, there's nothing else on the system worth playing. So, this grabs my interest. Also, un-related, where is your sig from?
