  1. I love going clothes shopping, but there is so much crap out there. Men's clothes shopping is an almighty pain in the arse. Far too often is there a nice looking t-shirt/shirt that is ruined by some crappy logo or brand name. I like going into the likes of Jack & Jones, but I'll pretty much go anywhere, as it really depends what is there on the day. My last few t-shirts have been from Jack & Jones and H&M, I think. I recently bought a shit load from O'Neill, so that might be my new favourite place. I tend to go for something with a colour that either suits me or white, usually with an image of some sort. I'm not really a plain t-shirt kinda person. Don't usually go for these corny t-shirts with funny one-liners on there. One place I absolutely loathe is Hollister. Impressive from the outside, but their clothing range is terrible. So bland, nothing impressive or interesting about it. Majority of the stuff is ordinary clothing with their logo slapped on in the middle of it. Don't even care if it feels good to wear, it looks arse. I laugh internally whenever I go shopping and see some guy thinking that he is the shit with his Hollister t-shirt.
  2. I remember doing one of these lists not so long back. It's hard, because my order changes all the time. Also, critically, I am barely through Xenoblade. I know it's excellent, I can see it already. But, it's hard putting it in the top 10 when I haven't played enough of it. 1. Twilight Princess - love it to absolute bits. Probably my favourite Zelda. 2. Metroid: Other M - I just had so much fun with it. It's a joy to play and I loved the eerie atmosphere of the ship. 3. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories - A game that will stay in my mind for a long time. It has also ruined/made better one of my favourite Elvis Presley songs. "That scene" is one of the best memories I will take from this generation. 4. Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 - Best football game of all time. The controls make this so much better to everything else out there. Never going back to traditional controls. 5. Super Mario Galaxy - A beautiful game. 6. Dead Space: Extraction - It shocked me. So good, so incredibly difficult to put down. Tense, but action packed in the right moments. 7. Monster Hunter Tri - I had excellent times playing with the guys from here, particularly Mokong and RedShell. Love it. 8. Super Smash Bros. Brawl - so full of content and depth 9. ExciteTruck - One of my favourite all time racing games. Basically, make a WiiU version with Wiimote controls, better graphics, more tracks and I will be right there. 10. Little King's Story - Supreme! Skyward Sword doesn't make it, rightfully so. Lovely controls, but it is very poor in terms of story and cinematics. Xenoblade would have made it easily had I pumped more time into it. Soon. So many other games as well. Definitely my favourite system of all time.
  3. Wind Waker was pretty, but come on now. Galaxy and Xenoblade in particular are two of the best games of the entire generation. Brawl was fantastic, as well.
  4. The more Monster Hunter (3) that exists in the world, the better. Hard to find any downsides to this at all.
  5. Hmm, a bit disappointed to be honest. Release date is great, but aside from ZombiU, (maybe) there is nothing at all on the system that is worth paying over 200 quid for. I was hoping we'd get some indication of other games being within the launch window, but not even having Pikmin on release is poor, imo. N64 had Super Mario 64, Wii had Twilight Princess. What does WiiU get? Another NSMB. Also, I can't be bothered with all this price checking bollocks. I was nailed on getting one of these before the E3 conference, but Nintendo have somehow managed to make a mess of this. Can't believe just how un-interested I am about all of this.
  6. Liverpool fans, what are your views on the latest events about Hillsborough? It must be relief in some way for the families to be able to know what actually went on afterwards, but also anger due to the numerous deficiencies. Not also including the alteration of police reports to blame the fans, rather than the emergency services, crowd control and the police. I find that very worrying.
  7. Really? 160 for a new home Console? That's on a par with the 3DS. I think we'll be extremely fortunate to see it at that price point. Can't see it happening.
  8. Hey, I've been listening to the album on Spotify quite a bit. I like it! It's different, but still awesome. The solo for Kettling sounds like it was taken from a Smashing Pumpkins song.

  9. This conference/these conferences are pretty much going to make or break my decision to get a WiiU at launch. Currently, I haven't set any money aside for it and am genuinely not bothered at all by it. Strange times. I'm normally unbelievably psyched for a new Nintendo Console. If the conference blows, I can see myself holding off on this for a while. My gut tells me that we'll get a late November/very early December launch but I'm hoping we get a fair price for it, too. Anything over 250 will be out of my budget, I imagine.
  10. I don't usually pre-order any games. Although, I believe that I did pre-order two this generation, which were Skyward Sword and Super Mario Galaxy. I struggle for time to play games, so I don't really buy them at full price. Saying that, I am completely shit when it comes to seeing games for mega-cheap prices...I can't resist. The backlog grows and grows.
  11. No waiiii. I loved District 9. Unorthodox at times, a strange kind of humour in certain areas, but it's brilliant viewing. One of the best Science-Fiction films in recent years, imo. I've recently watched The Virgin Suicides and Rain Man. I love both. Pretty sure I've seen others in between then. Great acting in both.
  12. D'oh, I meant final. Dunno what I was thinking there.
  13. I haven't had access to the matches, so I've been following the BBC live text during this tournament. Murray has done so well, fantastic match yesterday. I knew he would eventually get his Slam, and now I feel he should be going into each tournament feeling like he can win it now. Olympic Gold, Olympic Silver in the doubles, US Open title, Wimbledon Semi-Final, all in this current era. Not easy at all...I have to laugh at people who I've spoken to today saying "yeah, he did ok, but I still don't like him, he's miserable, blah blah." No pleasing some. :p
  14. Got a decent result away from home. I rested my most experienced defender and two of my most experienced midfielders, as well as my best striker being injured. That defence is Dragooooo's future back four and should be together for some time and that strikeforce will be the main partnership for years to come, once Thijs calls it a day. A bit disappointed not to win, especially after seeing so much of the ball and creating more chances. But, drawing away from home against Aqui1a is a good result.
  15. Amazing, thanks. I have managed to recover some of the hidden files. But, one or two of my folders which have those "blank file" icons didn't seem to be recovered. Are those damaged? Can they be fixed at all?
  16. I plugged in my usb drive at work and was gutted to find that all of my planning that I did during the summer has gone. One of my folders has changed into a "blank" file, as in it has a plain white icon and asks me which program I would like to open it up with when I try to open it, whereas it was simply a folder containing about a dozen word documents. Some of my folders still contain some documents, but the majority are missing. Something did flash up when I tried opening up the drive at the start, but Windows asked if it could recover it, only to then say that it couldn't fix the damaged files. Am I right in thinking that a recovery program will sort this out? These files are important and I need them urgently. Also, to add insult to injury, I can't download any recovery programs at work due to Administrator privileges/settings, which means I will probably have to try at home. I just really want to know if I can get these files back, or else I'm going to have to spend weeks working on them again, which is time I don't have.
  17. Haha, another win. I was sure that I'd lose this game, I was very naive in my tactics and perhaps a bit cheeky in team selection. I'm certain I won't get relegated. So, am going to really, reaaaally play my youth and get their DVs up as high as possible. I've managed quite well so far, and I don't really have any players that I'm worried about not getting up to at least 10 or 12, so it's just a case of pumping the youth and hoping for a double jump here or there.
  18. Yesterday, I was teaching a lesson about reversible and irreversible changes in Science. E.g, water can be heated, turned into steam, then can be turned back into a liquid/can be cooled/frozen, etc. I questioned my class about other possible reversible changes, and then did the same with irreversible ones. Class was silent except for one person who put their hand up and suggested "Time". I r proud of the human race. What's even more brilliant is that we had a discussion earlier about time, instigated by me decorating the classroom ceiling with somewhat inspirational song lyrics. One that caught their eyes was "Don't waste your time, or time will waste you," taken from Knights of Cydonia.
  19. It's all well and good saying aim high, blah blah. This is only Dragooooo's fifth year. So, if we do get promoted, 5 years and 2 league jumps is pretty heavy going. Although the team is great right now, there is a massive, massive jump up in the quality of teams between the middle league and the elite league. Just to put it into perspective, your highest serving player Tales has played 185 games. Mine hasn't even played 80. :p If I get promoted, I'll be happy to have made it to the highest league. But, I'll also be gutted in a way as it will be a huge struggle next season. If I could get an awesome change report, that might make things easier.
  20. Hmm, it's a deadly combination. I don't want promotion, but I don't like losing. I'd happily go for a draw for every game for the remainder of the season.
  21. Amazing result for Dragooooo. 4-2 away from home against The Leeds Scum. Patric Barculo, my striker that I strongly considered offloading in the summer has repaid my faith and score a hat-trick today! Only blemish is that one of my defenders got sent off. I'm not doing fantastically well at finishing fourth.
  22. Why wouldn't he want to play for a London club? If it's true, then fair enough, but Spurs must have been convinced that they could get him if they spent all summer chasing him. Maybe the wages they offered were too low?
  23. You were linked to him all summer. So, either it wasn't going to happen, or Spurs took too long dithering (again) and fucked the deal up. Doesn't matter which is true, the window is closed and you haven't got him.
  24. God, that was a tense game. We were pretty poor for the majority of it, bar glimpses every now and again. Turning point came when Nani and Scholes came on, it changed things in midfield and Southampton didn't close us down quickly enough. Scholes in particular looked good and played some excellent balls. Defence were poor, but it's Ferdinand and Vidic's first game since November or something daft like that. The way we conceded was pretty bad, though, as we lost the ball in midfield twice and two crosses beat both of our fullbacks. We should be doing better, first of all by not losing the ball, and secondly by marking players properly. I thought we had thrown the game away when Van Persie missed that penalty! Shows good character to go on and score two more with so little of the game remaining. Excellent position for all three goals and good finishing. At this rate, Rooney is going to struggle to make it into this first team. I'm not sure what I think about Welbeck playing out wide, he didn't look great out there. Hopefully Nani will start the next game. Southampton were excellent, though. Very harsh on them, but they were flagging a little towards the end and this happens when you play so intensely for so long. Against the majority of other teams in this league, they would have got three points after that.
  25. Are we seriously talking about goal-scoring defenders? :p Maybe Skrtel and Vermaelen should start up front today. At least then maybe we'll see some goals.
