  1. I can't believe these prices that are being touted for Bale. 85 million, 95 Million, 50 million plus Coentao and Di Maria... That lost deal is insane. Spurs could do with a left back and Coentrao is one of the best in the world and Di Maria would be a great replacement for Bale AND 50 Million to spend elsewhere. It's almost as insane as that Eto'o plus 45 million or whatever it was for Ibra that Barcelona paid.
  2. I was genuinely bricking it when I saw the word "tags"...not hash tags, right? I fucking hate THEM.
  3. You're damn right. The prices that were being touted beforehand were far too high. This should be a sub-£200 machine. No question about it. In fact, sell it for £199 with Nintendoland AND with something like New Super Mario Bros. U or Pikmin 3 or something, and you'll sell more.
  4. That's not true at all. For the sake of this thread, and this forum, try to refrain from making comments like this. If you have a problem, you can PM a Mod or Admin and we'll sort it out from there. Let us not derail this thread, again. Anyway, I'm loving the Wii U and am going to shower up before trying Pikmin 3 for the first time.
  5. Hmm, I might look into it, although the fact that it wasn't released in Europe will make that difficult. So, nobody bought out Cing or the rights to the games? Hmm, I guess that's that then.
  6. I'm not shocked that Fifa 13 didn't sell that much for the Wii U. Judging from what I've played on the demo, it's not exactly Earth shatteringly good. If they want to succeed. The touch-screen shooting and management modes were good, but using the engine from the previous year's iteration was poor. You reap what you sow.
  7. A Metroid Game I can't believe both the DS and N64 didn't have one. I'm not counting Prime Hunters, because that's not really a Metroid game. I'd love one in the style of Other M, or even just a prettier version of Fusion. Either way, we need one. F Zero Again...I can't believe we didn't get one for the DS OR the Wii...what the fuck, Nintendo? Imagine if there was one for the 3DS and one for the Wii U and they could interact in some way....HNNNNGGGGG. Hotel Dusk sequel Blew me away on the DS and I've yet to play Last Window. We need moaaar of these. Trauma Centre I have both New Blood and Second Opinion on the Wii and I'd love me some moar for the 3DS. An RPG in the style of Xenoblade HNNNNNNGGGGG. Advance Wars Cmaaaaan.
  8. Which bit, the life part? Don't forget all that pumping of de iron that gets done. Leg Day tomorrow, eeek. I'm playing all of the games now. When September comes, it's always like some sort of apocalypse. Your life is OVER until Christmas.
  9. Yeah, what they'll do is they'll take you through the gym area and show you what's what. It's something that they have to do. Lots of small talk, they'll probably ask you one or two questions, such as what you'll be looking to do (whether you're just here for a bit of light swimming, there to bulk up or slim down, or play squash or something). One thing though, they'll probably try to be a bit pushy and get you to sign up to extra things you might necessarily need, so just have a think beforehand about what you want and what you'll get from it. If you know that all you want to do is go weekends, then don't let them push the full contract onto you (where you pay more for weekdays). Otherwise, enjoy it and get a good feel for the place. If you enjoy it, you could end up spending a lot of time there and it'll quickly become a second home. :p
  10. Monster Hunter 4 will be coming here in the not so distant future, brah. That's when I plan on hiding all of Ine's 3DS Collection and stealing her hardware for myself. There will come a moment where you'll get a craving to play something on it, so keep it for then. You might find yourself getting bored with the Wii U at one point and just wanting to do something a bit different. I'm not massive on handhelds, but the 3DS seems like it's come into its own now.
  11. Go for option 2. Getting there and getting back can at times be the "hard" bit in the sense that you'll have to psyche yourself up to get out of the house in order to get to that gym. I had the same dilemma with my squash club, whether to join one that was more expensive but only 5 minutes away, or join one that was cheap but 45 minutes away. In the end, I went for the closer one because I'd be more likely to actually get to that one. Closing at 5 on the weekend and having to do 30 minutes each way kills that deal, imo. Go for the other one. A 10 minute walk is fine, as is that weekend rate and you'll also have access to that pool and squash league. Do eet naaaww.
  12. Copy Pasta'd from the Flubit thread: 9:30 was approaching and I was leaving the house to go to play squash, when I noticed that there was a package hidden behind our barbecue set next to the pillar. I open it up immediately to find the game waiting for me inside. The letter is dated 23rd July...so I have no idea how long that thing has been there waiting for me. Could have been delivered Friday. Could have been Saturday. Could have been this morning. I was in the house, up nice and early on each day and not once did I hear the postman attempt to knock or ring the bell or leave a note saying he left it there. Aside from that, it's heeeeeeere. Tomorrow is the day where I'll start this adventure. Somehow, I've got to fit this in the day-time, ZombiU in the night, Batman somewhere in the middle and a life interspersed through all of that. :p
  13. I put the link in from WowHD which was around 28quid I think. Then, Flubit said they could do it for 24. I've heard nothing still. No "item has been dispatched" or anything yet. It says: "ESTIMATED DELIVERY: Tuesday 30th July - Thursday 1st August" still, but there's no way that's going to happen. It would have to be dispatched later today to make Thursday, imo. So, hmm. Will wait and see. UPDATE: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. 9:30 was approaching and I was leaving the house to go to play squash, when I noticed that there was a package hidden behind our barbecue set next to the pillar. I open it up immediately to find the game waiting for me inside. The letter is dated 23rd July...so I have no idea how long that thing has been there waiting for me. Could have been delivered Friday. 14. Here you go. http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37192 Thread thief. :p
  15. Yeah, I can't really blame Reina in that instance...Spain's squad depth is enormous and you either have to play for Barcelona or Real Madrid or be playing out of your fucking skin to be able to get into that team. Look at Llorente. He couldn't buy his way into that team. He would walk backwards into the England side. That first 11 is almost set in stone and so very difficult to displace.
  16. Shiiiit. Former Birmingham Striker Christian Benitez has died. Aged 27.
  17. Pikmin looks brilliant and I can't wait to play it. But, it's about as niche as they come. It's the type of game that Nintendo does well. It's charming, it's quirky, but with an edge. However, it won't sell in great numbers. It'll sell as well as it can, but it's not going to be some sort of Wii U saviour.
  18. Here is my list. I'll explain briefly why I chose each track. 1. Hungry Face - Mogwai - It's the theme tune for Les Revenants/The Returned, which aired the final episode of season 1 yesterday. My show of the summer. 2. Leather - Death in Vegas - This is my song from last summer. I have memories of driving to Cardiff and back to Bournemouth whilst listening to this track in the car, at full volume. 3. Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen - I've been listening to him a lot this last month. So, it's fitting to put this iconic song there. 4. Giorgio by Moroder - Daft Punk - A top tune of this summer and my favourite song off the new album. 5. Inhaler - Foals - They played this tune at Glastonbury and were fantastic live. A great memory of a wonderful few days. 6. Six Weeks - Of Monsters and Men - Glastonbury, again. They finished with this song. 7. Tonight, Tonight - The Smashing Pumpkins - My favourite Pumpkins song and they blew me away with this one. Hearing it live is something else. 8. Keep your head up - Ben Howard - I love this guy's sound. It's mellow but enough there to keep you interested. 9. Dream Catch Me - Newton Faulkner - I heard him at Glastonbury and he blew me away with this song. 10. New Town Velocity - Johnny Marr - A friend of mine is a big Smiths fan and I had the pleasure of telling him that I've now converted from the Morrissey camp to Marr. Fantastic live. 11. Papaoutai - Stromae - Ine introduced me to this guy and he's amazing. I really, really like his sound. I urge thee to listen. 12. The Road - Hurts - this is disappointing because it sounds so much better live. It's aggressive, dark, a bit crazy, but so fucking good at the same time. 13. Baptism - Crystal Castles - Blew me away live. This song in particular. 14. Hopeless Wanderer - Mumford and Sons - It took me a while to like the new album, and it took me even longer to love it. But, it's a work of art. This song is one of the standout tracks and I can't get enough of it. 15. Write it on your skin - Newton Faulkner - The only artist to make it into this list twice, and he deserves it on merit. His live performance at Glastonbury was infuckingcredible. A very strong contender for best live performance I've ever seen. 16. Rocks - Primal Scream - It was a toss up between this and Come Together, but I opted for this as the latter was a bit too long at over 10 minutes. 17. Falling - Haim - My favourite new band/group. They are lovely. I love their retro sound and I can't wait for their first album. 18 - So Lonely - The Police - I have memories of sitting outside in the garden and listening to this tune this summer. Awesome song by an incredible band. 19 - Nearly Lost You - The Screaming Trees - My new favourite old band. I wish that I had discovered them about 10 years sooner. 20 - Flight - Man of Steel OST - Inspiration. Iconic. Beautiful. Uplifting. Powerful. Music. Serious fucking business.
  19. It's pretty huge in the UK, I think. I've got kids in my school that only ever talk about that. Nice seeing Luigi up there, too.
  20. You're spending too much time on dat dere Wii U, brah. Have you got Kid Icarus? Or 3D Land? Even the ones you've got are great fun. Animal Crossing is addictive as hell. Ine is much more into the 3DS than I am, but it's a seriously great system and I can only see it getting better and better. You seem to be on a bit of a Wii U high, so when you get a bit bored of it (maybe), try those 3DS games.
  21. Hmm, if there are quite a lot of people getting this, I may be tempted to pick it up. I'm absolutely shite at shooters, mind. Will this have WiiMote support?
  22. Hurray! Wii U version too, pleeease.
  23. I'm going to play some more of this tonight. I've got my GP's number on stand-by.
  24. It is onnn. I've decided to go with 5 defenders next year. I don't think I really need more than that, and if there is an injury I can just play one of the all-rounders there. That way I can focus on getting this 17 4 some more game time as well as maximising the game of the 19 6 and 20 6. I very rarely play 5 at the back. The plan is also to get my players levelled up and maybe sell Albertino Peseiro for some decent money next season or the one after. Maybe. We'll see. Excited for next season.
