I take it you mean Sharla, right? She's got a banging rack. Fuck. Melia is decent, too. That other one ain't bad neither. Game rooooocks.
-
My heart sank a little when that happened. No Ridley as a playable character.
-
I get it, but I also think that if you're going to do something competitively, you need some sort of "standard". Some basic rules that are consistent for everybody. It wouldn't be fair to have one match taking place on a side-scrolling level and another on a flat level and then another with multiple layers. You don't truly get an idea of who is the best fighter then... Maybe a best of three would have been a good mode. One match on a Final Destination type level, one on a scrolling stage and another on a level with platforms. That would have been a good compromise.
-
Did you watch the match? PSG deserved exactly what they got. Fuck all. Cavani did very little over both legs. Lavezzi was their brightest spark. But, Chelsea bossed the game after the first goal. Before that, the match was a bore. Nobody created anything. After the goal, Chelsea had near-complete control. PSG were better in the first leg. Chelsea were better in the second. A draw on aggregate is a fair result, yet PSG weren't good enough at Stamford Bridge and couldn't get the away goal. So, a Chelsea victory is a good result.

Zero suit Samus as her own character... Dat direct... Smash run... Gorgeous 3DS visuals... Multiple Final Destinations...
-
I'll give him a try, but if he's no good...I'm coming for you. Oh shi-....is Ganondorf in this? There will be hell toupée if he isn't.

Pokemon has been irrelevant to me since Generation 2. :p Sakurai is one smooth motherfucker. Nintendo need to get him to create EVERYTHING. The amount of depth in this is superb.
-
That's pretty much how it went, yes. So, friends matches are easily customised. It makes sense to see what they've done; they've set a standard for competitive matches. Let's face it, you're going to want to use a flat surface and no-items when it's competitive anyway, so I think they did the right thing there. They've made it a standard.

Charibrah I'm cool with, but eurgh, another Pokemon? Don't care who it is, there's toooooons more deserving characters. Only blemish on that awesome direct, as far as I'm concerned. Fuuuuuck, if Smash Bros. 3DS is out in time for the end of June, I can take it with me on holiday... Don't let me down, Nintendo.

The multiple final destinations part was wow, such impressive, much joy. I think I cheered a little at that part. Game looks incredible.

Great direct. Smash run looks awesoooooome. But, I wanted them to elaborate more on the bit about the movesets. They just grabbed my attention and it was over a bit too soon. They also ruined it at the end slightly with a reveal of another Pokemon. Not really what the game needs. :p Tempted to buy a separate 3DS so I can play against Ine...

Thank fuck for that! 2014 Smash Bros. here we come, motherfuckeeeeeers.
-
Why is that? Are you going to use the "scaling" argument, where Ridley should be omitted due to his size? There needs to be more representation from the Metroid universe.
-
Whuuuut? You coming down our way? Good luck with your job goals, it sounds like you are winning. I am busy planning a lesson where I somehow need to transform my classroom into a space capsule. Right now, all I've got is: 1. Cover the room in tin foil. 2. ? 3. Profit.
-
Do you even Super Metroid, brah?
-
Aw well, guess that dream is dead.
-
Metroid could do with some more representation. I'd love a Ridley character in the game. Or even MOTHER BRAIN. Hnnnnnnngggg. One of those two would be fantastic. Or both. Sheeeet. I get the feeling Metroid is not really an area where Nintendo give too much of a shit. No DS game (Hunters, nobody cares about you), no 3DS game thus far, no N64 game, not a hint of a Wii U game so far.

I mostly agree with the Ferret of Clowns on this one. Spurs were better to watch under Harry and they were more aggressive and attacking, yet not totally reckless as they are under Sherwood. A good middle ground. Sure, Harry's tactics weren't perfect, but at least he varied things. Unlike AVB, who basically played the same way every single time. Too single-minded. I wouldn't really say that Spurs completely underperformed. City were emerging as this big force, Chelsea and United were already huge, and Arsenal were up there. If he had been given the Bale money, or if he had stayed another season, who knows. I prefer him to both AVB and Sherwood. As for Moyes: He's staying. I'm confident that he'll pull through and will come out of it a better man and a better manager. He needs to loosen up and learn to be more dynamic with his tactics and line-ups. There's hope for him yet. Even though we've had a bad season (for United's standards), we're 7 points off 4th...too much for this season to salvage, but with an improvement over our home form next season, we should be right up there again. It's looking like Van Gaal like be at Spurs next season. Should be very interesting. If Spurs are playing well under him and we improve under Moyes and Everton keep up their momentum into next season, Arsenal could be in huge trouble. Once they're out of the Top 4 (eventually, it will happen), I don't see them getting back in.

Best opening post to a thread that I've ever seen.

To make a truly fair comparison, you need to post the teams who they beat and lost to. If AVB's games were all against Top 4 clubs and Sherwood's were against the bottom 4, then obviously that's not fair to start with. Imo, neither are great managers. AVB comes across as being better than he actually is, all his talk of "projects" (fucking loathe that word) and he was rigid as fuck with his systems. No plan B. Sherwood isn't better. Neither are good enough to manage Spurs. Harry Redknapp was better than both and they booted him out.
-
Again, fair enough if that is the case. I'm watching it anyway, with low expectations of course.

Q3 seems incredibly optimistic, imo. If it was third quarter, we really should be getting a firm, nailed on date, in my opinion. It wouldn't make sense not to do that. If we get it before Christmas, it's a bonus. Anyway, I'm questioning the whole point of this Direct, especially for this sort of game where we get info all the time anyway. I'd much rather we have a direct about something like Bayonetta (date, please) or another exclusive. We hear about Smash all the time, so it just would be nice to get something else.

Online multiplayer wasn't perfect, but it was still bluddy good in a lot of places. It's not like Nintendo have totally nailed the online aspect with their own games, Brawl (for example) was far, far, faaaar worse online than Transformed was. Mario Kart DS was atrocious online, too. (can't remember too much about Wii as I didn't go online much with it) Like I said, SEGA got more right than they did wrong. For a third party title that didn't/isn't going to get the amount of time that Mario Kart 8 is going to get to refine things, I would say it was a success. Even then, the singleplayer more than made up for it. Local multiplayer was great. I played a few games with some of the N-E folk and had a great time. So, yes, the online wasn't perfect or 10/10 quality, but in large parts it was pretty damn awesome. If there wasn't a rush to get it out for launch, I'm sure more could have been done to refine it. It's common for launch games not to have the same amount of polish or attention giving to it as games later on in its lifetime. We're getting Mario Kart 8 nearly 2 years after Sonic, so it should be much better.
