Will this game be a full retail or a PSN title? I initially thought PSN but now I'm unsure. Sounds great, though. I hope it lives up to expectations.

What do you mean? So, if player one chooses a random team and that team is West Ham, the other player needs to choose a team with the same star amount? In that case, wouldn't option 5 be better? Everybody plays with the same "class" of teams per week, so everybody must choose a 4 star team this week, for example.

Totally unrelated to anything about GTA, but high-fucking-five for having Ólafur Arnalds in your last.fm box on the left. Awesome, awesome musician.

Depending on how many sign-ups we have and the structure of the league, one possibility could be that we include you in the league but simply post-pone all of your matches until you have the PS4 and game. That way you're still included and the league doesn't get held up because you can't play your matches. Could be an option, it'll ultimately depend on the structure of the league. Fuckers. I had my calender open on my computer and even told myself, "DON'T PUT THE 15TH!" I, of course, meant next Saturday. I've amended it.

Ok, folks, I have done my best to sort out the FIFA League for those of us who have put our names down. This is going to be our first attempt and we'll hopefully get some more participants when this first initial league is over with. Option 3 was the winning choice, so players will choose one team each and stick to that team. We can sort this out later. For now, I have compiled the fixture list in terms of the users who signed up. I can edit this later to include the names of the teams chosen.

I've just got back from watching the film. I'll try and break it down because I'm still unsure about how I ultimately feel.
-
Sorry I've not been taking part, guys. I've been busy with work and went to watch Interstellar this evening. I'm making the sign-up thread for the league with a poll so we can all agree on one idea for the league. Will make this now.

Not the class I'm teaching. The School. In fact, not just my school, but the schools of my other teacher friends. Minecraft is huge and it's easy for kids to get their hands on whether they've got a 360, PS4, PC or whatever. Not just primary school age, but teenagers. Either way, the WiiU is an unknown entity to them. I also didn't claim it was just recent, more emphasising the point that Nintendo are out of touch in many respects. If that's also relevant for ten years ago then...yeah. Not much I can say about that. Mario Kart is really the only game on here where people actually arrange to meet up and race and that's only because it's a top, top Nintendo title and there was a league involved. It's harder for the other games because they are less enjoyable online and lack the basic features which are needed to knit a community together. What's the point in gaming with somebody from here if you can't communicate with them?! Monster Hunter Tri was only fun because I could chill with Mokong and people, even if we did end up using the keyboard to type. FIFA, Destiny, Battlefield, Killzone, whatever, there's that element of getting to know somebody that you can only get from being able to typing or speaking to, which is how you build that community. You're linking two different arguments together and are making a bit of a hash of this, tbh. I didn't link the relevancy of Nintendo to the quality of their games. You should probably read it again. Also, to an extent, it is important that the newer generation grow up on the Nintendo games or at least "catch" on. As a company, you need to be attracting new fans in order for it to survive. You have to stay relevant to the prospective audience that you want to sell to. I've clearly missed your point But why keep saying about how manny people play the ps4 and what kids at school are playing and how irrelevant Nintendo are etc? Ps WHERE THE HELL IS THE FIFA LEWGUE!? I've probably answered that bit above. I've lost confidence in Nintendo. The PS4 part was mentioned earlier about there being a community when online gaming, something which is missing here. I'm going to start the new thread for FIFA League tomorrow, had a mental week at work.

Just out of curiosity, why not? Do you chat with the people you're playing with in local multiplayer? Imo, it helps a lot. I previously didn't think much of it but I've found that online gaming really is boring without it. You may as well play against an AI opponent rather than a human without it. It's essential for anything team based.
-
Pretty much this. I thought of Battlefield 4 when I read that. It's absolute mayhem, 32vs32. Get a fully functioning team and you can see the benefits. I feel like I was getting better at that before we stopped playing. Need to get back on it.

That's good that you can do that and I do have some friends that would usually pop around when I was living back in Wales who would play Nintendo games. We do this when we're all together. Sadly, life changes and people move away, there's work and relationships. Life gets in the way and it makes it harder to do these things. That's partly where the online components of the Nintendo systems don't help because it should accommodate this type of audience, but it doesn't. The other side of the coin is that I am a junior school teacher and can't name a single child who owns a WiiU. Or a teenager for that matter. They're just not growing up with the system, whereas there are tons who have PS3s, PS4s, 360s, some Ones, and iPads. It's all Minecraft these days. Where are the next generation of Nintendo fans going to come from? That's what I was alluding to in part of my post. However, I still know tons of 3DS owners, so they're still "in" in that respect. What is this referring to exactly? I was challenging Blade's idea that because he has a PS4 it makes him love the WiiU more, and I was saying that he spends tons of time on the PS4 with the likes of Destiny and Battlefield so...where exactly does this new found love come from? Do you even read, brah? Can you please point out where I mentioned anything about liking the PS4 because it's popular. I can only think it's this part you are referring to: Which is where I was challenging the relevancy of Nintendo and how irrelevant they are becoming to the modern gamer, especially as they are losing key franchises (Call of Duty, FIFA) and can't obtain other key games (Destiny, Minecraft). There is absolutely NOTHING there about me following a crowd because I do no such thing. I bought another system because I wanted guarantees that it would be getting third party games and support, online components, etc. Basically all of the things that Nintendo can't do. If it works for you, then great. But, it isn't enough for some of us. (myself and Lostmario, for instance). Personally, I find Nintendo stale and don't regret branching out one bit. Looking at the amount of money and time I have spent gaming in the past year, I wouldn't be gaming right now if I didn't own a PS4 because I had stopped turning my WiiU on prior to that.
-
I could not disagree with these two posts any further. For me, the WiiU has a huge disappointment and I've hardly touched my WiiU in months. Even the name is horrible, it's almost sickly to say it. I don't personally get the "I bought a PS4 and now I love the WiiU more" thing at all. I look at my PS4 friend list every day and there's usually 15 or so people on there, mostly Blade and Kav doing Destiny raids or us lot on FIFA. Sorry but...you're not playing those on a Nintendo system, are you? Aside from Mario Kart, there's no real Nintendo community knocking about where people on here meet up to play games and chat about them. (can't do that, no voice chat). Even in real life, I don't come across many people who even mention Nintendo unless it's either about retro games (from people who used to play the N64 or SNES, who have since moved on to the XBOX or PS systems) or people talking about Pokemon. I feel that Nintendo are becoming a bit irrelevant to modern gamers and I'm finding that a lot of children (and people new to gaming) are growing up with the likes of Minecraft rather than Mario. As things stand, I have lost a lot of trust for Nintendo and have been particularly disappointed with their inability to get key third-party franchises on the WiiU. As much as I bang on about it, Alien Isolation was a child-hood dream finally realised and there is absolutely no excuse why that didn't come to the WiiU. No excuse over Destiny either and losing FIFA is unacceptable in my opinion. Three key games that would have changed my opinion on the WiiU.

I was sooo tired tonight and didn't do that well tbh. Still enjoyed it! That final cup game was intense, I thought we had them. Never a sending off for Lost in my opinion. Typical Germans.

That's not too bad then if the previous CoDs were similar. I think they were different on the Wii version in the past for obvious reasons (lower power), but that couldn't really be helped. The DLC issue annoys me, not just with CoD. It pissed me off with Injustice...no Man of Steel skin for Superman and Zod. What the shit?! I don't think what Reggie was saying was that bad at all. It's just typical PR speak, as others have already said. One thing I will say is that I think Reggie has lost a lot of that sparkle and personality that he seemed to have, especially with the fans when he first came onto the scene. Not sure if that's his fault and it's just the way things are/the material he is given to reel off.
-
CoD split-screen is, to most gamers, a thing of the past now. It's mostly about the online and the WiiU is weak in regards to its infrastructure. So, you're getting a weaker product anyway by getting the WiiU version. (I don't know if the DLC is the same either, I don't follow CoD, but it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of the DLC hasn't made its way onto the WiiU) I agree with the rest of your sentiments, though. I'd rather have spent that 300 quid on games for the WiiU. Why would I need two games consoles if I can get all of my needs on one, for example? Too late now. The only thing we can do is hope that Nintendo learn their lesson this time and fix it for the next system.

I took a break from this as I started school again but played for about two hours tonight. I've almost completed mission 11, so am roughly about 2/3rds of the way through. Mission 10 was probably the strongest point of the game so far.
-
I'm in the same boat with Infamous, looking forward to trying it out. Injustice is fantastic, imo. Great little fighter and there's quite a bit of personality there. I'm hoping that there will be more people on here who will play it online as they'll all have it. Hopefully we can get some fights going.

Absolute bargain. Got it for £19.99 digitally. I'm excited about this as I've heard great things. PS4 collection is getting bigger, think it's bigger than my WiiU already.
-
Exactly, so he has to be playing them. How can players like Markovic or Can do the jobs that they were brought in to do if they don't play against the big teams? It's really up to the manager who he plays and it should be his choice. What's the point in having a big squad if you can't select from it? Just seems like it's a big fuss over nothing really. It's not like he's benched the entire first 11 and put out the youth team, there was a lot of reasoning to the team that he picked. Borini looked good up front, the left and right backs looked good with the ball and the midfield tried to keep the ball.
-
I have to lol at the way the media have reacted to the Liverpool line-up yesterday. I watched the game and didn't think there was at all a problem with the squad that Liverpool chose. Mignolet - first choice keeper, no problem there. Manquillo - new signing Skrtel - first choice, I think. Toure - squad player, but fine. Moreno -new signing and fine. Allen - squad player but fine. Lucas - squad player, but fine. Can - new signing Markovic - new signing Borini - squad player, but Balotelli isn't scoring so this is fine. Lallana - new signing subs Jones Gerrard Coutinho Henderson Sterling Balotelli Johnson Not sure where the problem is. He's made new signings and he should be able to play them where he sees fit. The problem seemed to be with what midfield he chose and he seemed to get stick for resting Gerrard. Tbh, he's the manager and he should decide what team he puts out. Although, losing 1-0 away is better than losing 3-0 at home, so...I guess he was justified.

n00b alert! If I were to get a maaaaaasssive hdd, how would I get my info and stuff off the current one and onto the new one? I've got a load of FIFA stuff saved, Last of Us data, etc.
-
Post a few of them. I'm curious. Or link me, brah.

Guuuuys, this is on the PSN store's deal of the week page. £19.99 for both games digitally. Somebody tell me why I shouldn't go for it. Is it likely to be cheaper? I quite like the idea of going for it digitally and that price is a tenner for each game...seems like a steal to me. I have a lot of games currently to play, so the only reason I would be buying it now would be to not miss out on the deal. Whether I get it now or wait for it later, I want to play the game at some point.
-
What if we had some sort of compromise? Every week we all have to choose a particular star team. Week 1 could be 4-star teams, week 2 could be 3-star, week 3, 5-star, etc. Then repeat. Change it weekly. That way we can use the stronger teams against stronger teams and we won't have anything ridiculous like Real Madrid vs. Stoke. It might also force players to choose teams that they normally wouldn't, so it opens it up to variation.

Am starting to worry about this. Is it easy to get another HDD for the PS4? External ones fine? Anyway, feelskindabadmanthat@AshleyboughtInjusticeforhimrecently.
