  1. Montenegro has a lot of potential but the lyrics are pretty shit. Good music, nice strobe effects and the singer's voice is pretty decent. But, the lyrics kill the song. All the right components except for one. Gah. Iceland have a good entry. I quite like it.
  2. NO. MORE LIGHTS, WOMEN AND CHEESE, PLEASE.
  3. Russia's performance had everything. I was fucking DYING from laughing so hard at the wing special effects. But the effects towards the end were pretty cool. I don't actually remember the song, only the pretty visuals. San Marino would actually sound ok if they gave the entire song to the backing singers or somebody with a bit of extra volume. The actual backing bits and music weren't too bad.
  4. OH MY GOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDD. I didn't spot that! I was too excited by the rest of it that I didn't pay attention at the end. OH MY GOD! The perfect gif for my reaction right now:
  5. Netherlands is my favourite, so far. Armenian woman has a hnnnnngg body.
  6. It's cringe-worthy from both sides, tbh. We've got no excuse turning up late for a match AGAIN! All of this could have been avoided had we turned up on time. Still, it's terrible to see. Hope nobody is hurt.
  7. If I were to become a woman, I'd wear clothes like the Croatian singer every day. I don't even know what it is meant to be. It's like, "fuck this shit, I'm wearing everything at the same time!" I think I can see a tree there.
  8. Give me a date, dammit! How the fuck am I expected to play this, Uncharted 4 AND No Man's Sky all in a short space of time? I'm never going to get anything done ever again! Hnnnnnngggg. My heart.
  9. We're watching! Finland were shiiiiiite. BRAP, BRAP, BRAP!
  10. I've had Spanish Sahara stuck in my head all day. Still thinking about the final moments for the game. I take that as a good sign. I was born to play games like this. And to listen to music like this, too! Beautiful song that fits a beautiful game.
  11. My game should be getting here tomorrow. Not sure when I'll actually get around to playing it though...maybe Wednesday evening? Could be the weekend! Ahhhh. I'm going into every game with absolutely no expectations now and just hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Haven't really been following this closely so know next to nothing. Feels quite nice, actually.
  12. I had a fantastic day today and spent most of the morning just thinking about the game/the ending. I've had Spanish Sahara in my head all day and youtubed the ending a few times. It's a really well-crafted game and I can't wait to see what comes next from these guys. @Eenuh has played Super Exploding Zoo and I think she enjoyed it!
  13. Finished Life Is Strange very early this morning. More thoughts of each individual episode can be found in its own thread. I'm very happy that I finally got around to playing this game. It's so many things rolled into one. It's an American high-school/college drama, with a coming-of-age story at its focus, yet it also clearly takes inspiration from films like Donnie Darko and The Butterfly Effect. I found it really intriguing to play and the characters kept me coming back for more. I loved seeing more of Chloe, who was at the heart of Max's transformation story from somebody timid and alone to an empowered woman who wanted to make positive changes to the world...and suffered the consequences of this. Episode 3 and 4 illustrated this very well, I thought. I've youtubed the ending again one more time today and it's so moving. Excellent choice of song, which rounds off a superb selection of music throughout each episode. Episode 4 was such a superbly done episode that I feel that the final episode could never truly surpass it, even though I did enjoy it on its own merit. Fantastic experience and would happily play more from these creators in future. I wanted to find out as much as I could about Arcadia Bay and its residents. I did truly feel like I knew the characters and felt that they were fleshed out and weren't just cardboard cut-outs. Gah, want more of this game to play! Games of 2016 Flower - Finished Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - Finished The Unfinished Swan - Finished Grim Fandango Remastered - Finished Race The Sun - Finished The Wolf Among Us - Finished Injustice: Gods Among Us - Story Finished The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone Ico - Finished Tokyo Jungle - Finished Grand Theft Auto 5 - Finished! Batman: Arkham Asylum - Finished Batman: Arkham City - Finished Life Is Strange Did Not Finish Darksiders
  14. We finished this veeeeery early this morning after playing the remainder of Episode 4 and then the entirety of Episode 5 back-to-back.
  15. Good man.

  16. Table Top Racing looks like a Micro Machines clone. I'm fine with this. Can see myself playing with it a fair bit. Looking forward to getting into Tropico 5.
  17. I'm more of a cider, brah. Buuuuut, I do enjoy Belgian Beer! Duvel! It's pretty awesome. I also like Cristal Alken. Kriek is also nice from what I remember. Not a fan of drinking beer when in the UK. But, I enjoy it a lot more in Belgium.
  18. If you enjoyed Dragon Age, I'm sure you'll enjoy this. :D

  19. As if there isn't already fuck all to write about, anyway.
  20. Play The Witcher 3 and experience it for yourself. :p

  21. The world in The Witcher 3 is biiiig. But, to solely judge it on its size would be to do it a disservice. It's how the world is connected and how everything is put together that makes the world feel even bigger. The world of The Witcher 3 feels large because everything is connected. It's woven by the main storylines and awesome sidequests, which should set the new standard for future open world games, including Zelda. Novigrad, for example, genuinely feels like a living and breathing city. Characters will reference events that are taking place or have taken place either there or elsewhere. It's one of these things that you just have to appreciate for yourself because, to me, no words that I can say will really do it justice. The new Zelda has a LOT to live up to. The size isn't the be all and end all. It's what you do within these areas and making the world feel alive...that's why we play games in the first place. Skyward Sword's world building was absolutely pathetic and a huge bummer. There were no pieces that you could put together, no background information or lore that you could become engrossed in. It's as shallow as they come. You can't have a map and see several landmasses and call them "a world". You could get away with that in the past, but everything has changed and evolved now. Now it's about how you interact with characters, or how a simple conversation may result in something happening further down the line, even the death of a character. With The Witcher 3, I wanted to learn absolutely everything about that world, because the world that they had built was very intricate, dangerous, full of secrets and magic. I couldn't wait to shelve the last Zelda. I'm not even excited about the next one because Nintendo have yet to convince me that they really know how to craft these complex worlds in this modern way. Talk is cheap. I want to see something to get me excited and I hope that they have something at E3 that will do that.
  22. I can see why Dazzy would be bitter about not winning the league. Tbh, Spurs aren't going to have a better opportunity, as there are so many teams who didn't perform this season and who are in a state of transition or limbo. This was a golden opportunity that wasn't taken. I'm not sure I agree with this "best footballing side in the league" stuff. What exactly does that even mean? How do you measure that? Most attractive football? I don't think going two-nil up away from home or one-nil up at home and drawing both games in consecutive weeks could be considered attractive football. Leicester haven't exactly played dull football only losing 3 games and winning 22 suggests that they have a winning formula. I'd consider them the best footballing side based on what I've seen. They had the bottle to see it through and showed that on the pitch where it matters most. The odds were against them, yet they kept winning games and getting those all important results. This changes everything now. It's good for the sport.
  23. This might actually be my favourite game of the season. All of the little sub-plots going on. Spurs needing the win to stay in contention, yet hadn't won away at Chelsea for 26 years. The fans being on Leicester's side because of the Spurs/London rivalry. The fans wanting Ranieri, a former Chelsea manager to win the League elsewhere without it hurting Chelsea too much. Hazard scoring the goal to decide the title for the second season in a row, despite having such a poor season. The tackling was fantastically awful, could have been about 5 red cards tonight. At least two big brawls, including the obligatory "shit it getting serious" tunnel incident. Amidst all of this, Spurs were 2-0 up and Chelsea did well to come back to 2-2. Watching the highlights on Match of the Day and legitimately crying over some the tackles. How there wasn't a single red card is a mystery. It was fantastic drama. More of this, please.
  24. Lost it at this: "Dad, tell me the story of when Leicester won the league." "Well son, it all started when Nigel Pearson's son racially abused a Thai hooker."
  25. Unlucky to Spurs and their fans. A very hard-fought season and worthy competitors. Even if you were dirty as fuck tonight.
