United have bought a man in exchange for lots of money. I'm going to admit that I know absolutely fuck all about this guy. Excited, but also nervous. Jose is here now, so I hope he really does the business here.

Hnnnngngggggggggnnngggg. My fucking heart. I'm going to be devastated when I get to the end of Blood and Wine and have no more other cards to collect or quests to embark on. A standalone Gwent will soften the blow. I will lose my shit if we ever get a remaster or recreation of the Witcher 1 and 2 in the style of 3. The graphics and gameplay being reworked to work with the same engine and mechanics. It's never going to happen, but...oh my, a man can dream. Blood and Wine has been amazing, so far. I pretty much fell asleep yesterday with the controller in my hand. So tired...but want to play moar. Dis fuckin' game.

Fuck yesssssss. Can't wait for this. It's going to be awesome. I hope that there are more stages and, especially, more transitions. I hope we get to use the Batman suit from BvS. The mega-thick-beat-Superman-to-a-pulp suit. Hnnnnngggggg.

Yeah, I really enjoyed this game and had a fantastic time with it. I'll be definitely interested in a follow-up and I hope that they can go a step further to make the game even better. The online aspects were great. I loved the invasions and the online modes. It was really special, imo and it made the game stand apart to stuff like GTAV.

Vardy will be making a stupid move if he goes to Arsenal. It's just bad for everyone. It's bad for Arsenal because he's not the player they need, it's bad for him because Arsenal play to his strengths and it's bad for Leicester as they do play to his strengths and will get the most out of him. I really hope it doesn't happen. But, it probably will.

I've not exercised in over a week. I've been suffering from a shitty chest infection and have been coughing so much lately. Had to see the doctor who has put me on anti-biotics. I can feel my gains all slipping awaaaay. Feelsverybadman.

Gutted, but not surprised by this. R.I.P. Amazing, amazing fighter. He's had a very interesting life and is a huge part of sporting history. All of these current boxers who trash talk don't hold a candle to this guy. What I love about the guy is that he's responsible for some of the greatest, most inspirational and thought-provoking quotes. Some of them you can find on here. "The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights."

JohnO'Groats to LandsEnd Charity walk - OCDwalk
Fierce_LiNk replied to Retro_Link's topic in General Chit Chat
All the best, @Retro_Link. Great video, too. Very to the point and it actually is a pet-hate of mine to hear people throw around the term "OCD" without really understanding what it is, so I get that. The very best of luck for you on this journey and I can't imagine how you'll feel when you finally reach your destination. -
Wow. This game is staggeringly beautiful. This is like playing a new adventure entirely. Both Hearts of Stone and this feel like more than just side-stories. They are pretty much like full games in their own right. Now THIS is how you do DLC/Expansions. I'm only a few hours in, but I'm in love with Toussaint. Woodlivein/10. This and Uncharted 4...this is why I game.

Heavy Rain (PS4 Version) I used to live with one of my closest friends and I've witnessed her and her boyfriend play through certain parts of the game. Naturally, not really paying attention at the start of the game and not really talking to them about it, I had no clue what was going on at all. It did look intriguing though and I'm thankful that both this and Beyond were remastered for PS4. I picked up both games for around £15 recently on PSN and I decided to start off with the one that seemed to interest me more...Heavy Rain. I had a fantastic time with it. I'm a big fan of this film-noir style and this game achieves that really well, particularly during the Scott Shelby sections. The music during the game is fantastic and the opening segment with Ethan's son is such a brilliant prologue to the game. I have no real complaints about the game at all. I know that some people aren't fans of QTEs, but I don't mind them at all. I'm a fan of the TellTales games, particularly The Walking Dead series, so I loved how this had branching story-paths. The characters in here were interesting enough to keep me hooked and I felt that the game had a satisfying conclusion...well, the ending that I got anyway! My ending spoilers:

I've put my age down. I'm 29, but feel around 23/24. (not at the moment though, as I'm ill) How many of us will still be around here when we're 10 years older?

I would have been mad a year ago, but I can't get excited about Gundogan now. I'd be concerned about him breaking down. Not entirely sure if he'll make it in this league. With regards to the England team: I'm amazed that Drinkwater didn't get in. There's nothing more he could have done to justify a spot. For a tournament of this importance, you really need to be playing players that can make an impact and will be physically fit enough to play in each game. I'd have dropped either Wilshere or Sturridge for him.

AUTOMERGE SEQUENCE SHUTDOWN (A.S.S)

I know that I'm disappointed the game isn't out yet or won't be out anytime soon. But, that frustration comes from wanting to play the game immediately and also partly because of the way things are being handled. I think you should be allowed to criticise things and people. But, there does need to be a line. Making death threats obviously goes way beyond that line. The problem with these sorts of people is that it halts all forms of discussions and stops any real meaningful dialogue from taking place. Now, we're taking about that issue instead of the worries about the game, such as what is causing this delay, if the game is in real trouble, will it make the next deadline, etc. As much as this frustrates me and tires me out, I want Sean and the gang to succeed and I want this game to be amazing and do well. I do feel that they are making a pig's ear out of a lot of things and they're relying on a lot of patience and faith from the fans because they are seen as the nice guys of the industry. I'm hoping that they can just get the job done now because there's only so much you can ask of fans before their heads become turned by something else. It's really competitive out there these days.

I didn't know it was on there! Might take a listen. One thing I learned when I played through 3 on easy is that I don't really play Uncharted for the challenge. I think I play it to experience the locations, set pieces and to hear the dialogue and interplay between characters. I was a lot more forgiving towards 3 (I loved it, in fact) than others because it never became frustratingly difficult for me...bar one section towards the end.

I'm extremely tempted to play through this game again, or at least to go through the series again. I know I slated parts towards the end, the bits around it were really fun as hell. Basically, there were only about 2 (maybe 3) chapters that let the game down for me. Everything else up until that point and afterwards was great. Sometimes I do wonder if I had played the game in a smaller chunk, maybe if I had paused for a bit before doing some of the later chapters, maybe that would have stopped it from feeling like a bit of a chore. The middle section of the game is superb and I enjoyed the ending. A large part of me feels guilty for not being overly enthusiastic about the game at the end because I was reeeeeeeally into it up until around Chapter 18. I hope Naughty Dog learn from this when they look back on this game and analyse what they did well because the exploration and storytelling side of this was great. I feel that they had the shooting down right (including how much of it you actually do) until the end, where it just seemed like they ramped things up way too much.

I work in a private school and can confirm that the parents are the worst part of the job, usually. I've been fairly lucky with most of mine this year, but have still had tons of grief anyway. The expectations on staff are ridiculous, but the justification behind it will be that they pay for it, so can ask for whatever they want. It does mean you end up having to deal with absurd circumstances that you wouldn't get in a state school.

This is all building up, so please understand. PLEASE UNDERSTAND. I felt like shit on Wednesday when leaving school. Massive headache, lost appetite, bad chest, bad cough, bad evrythng. I woke up at daft times on Thursday morning (2am, 3am, 4am, blaaah) before waking up for work. I had breakfast and proceeded to then throw the whole lot up whilst I was in the shower. I felt rough as fuck. I went into work anyway, which is a very naughty thing to do. But, I felt like I had to, as I was one or two members of staff doing a camp-out with about 25 children on Friday evening, I had an assembly to prepare for on Friday and there's already been a lot of sickness and cover work needed. My boss basically told me off and thanked me at the same time for coming in. Somehow, I survived Thursday and went into work on Friday feeling better. I managed a total of about 4 hours sleep when camping. It was exhausting. We had a house viewing to do as soon as I got back. So, we did that. I ate crumpets and cakes as I was starving, which basically meant that I wasn't hungry when going out for food later on, so I messed up there. I was tired, still pretty sick and just wanted to go back to bed. However, we had tickets to see Hans Zimmer, one of my idols and somebody whose music I had been following for years and years...I couldn't not go. To do that would be unthinkable. So, we went along to it and I was hoped that I would feel fine during and by the end of it. Considering all of that, the previous days building up to that moment, it was one of the very best concerts I've ever been to and one of the highlights of my life. Utterly unbelievable. No words that I can say could possibly do this justice. He is one hell of a musician who can seemingly play everything. His ensemble knocked it out of the park every single time and seemed to somehow take everything to the next level. Even some of the pieces that I didn't know (Crimson Tide, Angels and Demons, Amazing Spider-man 2/Electro's tune) were phenomenal. The second half of the show with The Dark Knight's medley, the Interstellar pieces and finishing off with The Dream is Collapsing/Mobasa and Time from Inception were breathtaking. I am so utterly jealous of his group for being able to work with such a genius, but I'm also jealous of him as he has a team there who are more like a family, but also seem to be made up of the very best musicians in the world. Or hhhnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggggggggg *heart explodes* for short.

I'm gutted that I missed the final, but even more disappointed that Atletico didn't win it. To lose on penalties is harsh.

Well this is just fucking great. Although I initially grumbled at the June release date (as it was so far away at the time of its reveal), I came around to it in the end because it would be my game of the summer. I could spend the school summer holiday playing through this game and could invest into the world/s that were created. We're leaving for the N-Europe meet on the 12th August, we are going straight to Belgium afterwards on the 14th and won't be back until the 27th, so...a mere 2 days before I start the Autumn term, which is the absolute worst term, in my opinion. The half-term is a write-off as you're basically up to your eyeballs bringing the new lot up to speed...so this game really may as well be released at Christmas as it'll make absolutely no bit of difference to me. I'm absolutely disappointed by this. There's zero point in me pre-ordering this now because, like I said, I won't get to sit down and play it the way I want to until Christmas. I don't give a shit anymore about all of these pre-order bonuses and bundles...I just want to play this fucking game. Hell, I feel like I've already followed it for long enough anyway and I was excited to finally get my hands on it next month, after a long and grueling year. Here's a tip to the developers and to Mr Murray: Shut up and finish your game (or at least get them to the point of being finished...a two month delay doesn't signal to me that it is close to completion at all...) before you start doing all of these promotions, interviews, snippets, love-ins with IGN and god knows who else. Pre-order is now being cancelled and I'll maybe think about adding this to my Christmas list if this lives up to its promise...if it actually manages to make it out by then. I am done.

I don't know, tbh. I'm completely on the fence with this one. Mourinho has his pros and cons, but I do wonder if he will be out to make a point this time around. He's received loads of criticism for "club-hopping" and not promoting youth players, so this could be a massive chance for him to prove those doubters wrong. I'm gutted that things didn't work out for LVG. There were points last season where I thought we were looking great and was expected about this year, but it just never seemed to happen. We didn't seem to be able to get going and the football that we've been playing this year hasn't been good enough. I'm amazed that we managed to get to an FA Cup Final (let alone win it!) and finish off the top four on goal difference based on how we've played this year. There are plenty of teams below us who I feel have had better seasons yet finished lower, so work that one out. There were lots of things that I liked about Van Gaal. Although he was forced to go down that route, he did get the younger players playing in the first team. Buuuuuut...he had to do that because of injuries and his signings not working out. There are also some players that just haven't performed under him, such as Januzaj and Herrera...Pereira is another one who I thought would be starting loads of games this season but just hasn't been given a chance. Van Gaal is an odd one. There are times where I think he's tried to be too clever for his own good and it's backfired terribly. The one thing I don't like to see is the way the BBC and outlets like that have been breaking this story. I know it's their job to report stuff, but talk about kicking a man when he's down. I don't think United have handled it amazingly well either, but the flipside of the coin is that LVG only had one year left before retirement anyway...so it's not quite the same situation as Moyes. Things weren't working and there's no real nice way of a manager losing his job. Had United kept him on, there's a strong possibility somebody else would have snapped Mourinho up and then we're up shit creak with a struggle for other options.

We've just started playing Heavy Rain and it's an absolute laugh so far. Ethan wakes up. Brushes his teeth badly, leaves half his facial hair whilst trying to shave and doesn't shower with any shampoo or soap. Says he should do some work before wife gets home...so he drinks JUICE OUT OF THE CARTON LIKE A FUCKING ANIMAL, then coffee and plays with a toy plastic sword outside. Such garden work. "Ethan, did you do any work?" "I tried but-" THIS IS ME. "Ethan, go and put the plates on the table." *needs precision timing and motion controls to put a plate on the table without making a sound*

Uncharted 4 First of all, this game is absolutely gorgeous to look at. Beautiful graphics and sound. I had a great time with the characters, with the settings and the traversing across dangerous areas and barely surviving by the skin of your teeth. For 95% of this game it's a complete and utter joy to play and look at. It sets the standard for 21st century action games. Buuuuuut, there's 5% of gameplay here that soured the experience for me and prevents me from giving it the absolute maximum score I could have. It's a shame that much of the problems with the game occur right at the end, since it's still fresh in the mind when you view the credits and leave the game. Everything up until Chapter 18 is a masterpiece, imo. Overall, it's going to be one of the best games of the year. Buuuuuut, it could have been absolute perfection. For me, anyway. It may be something that I rate much more highly on repeated playthroughs. I hope so, anyway. I definitely enjoyed my time with the game...95% of it anyway. Games of 2016 Flower - Finished Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - Finished The Unfinished Swan - Finished Grim Fandango Remastered - Finished Race The Sun - Finished The Wolf Among Us - Finished Injustice: Gods Among Us - Story Finished The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone Ico - Finished Tokyo Jungle - Finished Grand Theft Auto 5 - Finished! Batman: Arkham Asylum - Finished Batman: Arkham City - Finished Life Is Strange Uncharted 4 Did Not Finish Darksiders

I've finished it.

I'm getting pretty pissed off and bored with this now. Up to Chapter 17, it was great and a real joy to play. I'm on Chapter 20 now and it's just an absolute fucking grind. Naughty Dog really ran out of ideas here. Here's a shooting sequence. Here. Have 20 enemies. Ok, you got through those 20...but what about THESE DOZEN? Ok, you just about made it through that...here's another 20. Just fuck off. The game was so beautifully balanced up until the last three or so chapters and it's become far too monotonous. Even if they cut the amount of enemies by half I'm not sure it would be enough.
