Yeah you earn up to that figure, before the taxman comes calling. If you know your tax code - take the number and add a 0 on to the end - mines 0810, so I get 8100 to earn before I have to start paying tax. Some peoples employers divide it out over the year so you just pay fractionally less every month rather than paying nothing for a few months. (mine does)

when you work in the uk you get a tax free allowance, of about 8000ish I think.

ran full circle through a multitude of diets, and now I'm back at weightwatchers.... sigh. I just could NOT shift any weight no matter what I tried, for 3 whole years. someone of my weight and bmi should be shift 2 or 3 pounds a week and I was doing about 0.5-1lb a month, getting pissed off of it after 2-3 months then fell off the wagon. My contraceptive implant has now expired and the weight is falling off me without even seriously trying... I lost 7.5lbs this week and I didn't even count strictly!! :/ My spine has been really settled lately (arthritis) so I got the ok from my rhematology dr, then went out and got a pushbike.. There's something really nice about being out in the real world and not in the confines of a gym... and I can do this kind of exercise without aggravating my "asthma"- STILL waiting to see the lung specialist about that too... Starting to think its possibly a heart complaint and not a lung one, as my lungs are working, but my heart isn't hitting sky high numbers like it did in the gym. (when I mean sky high we're talking 180-190bpm even when I was of good fitness)

I can't think of anything I like less... it looks like proper food that's been half digested and thrown up again Bleurgggh :p

That looks godly... bet there's a few calories in that!

I find even the most basic stuff helps. Just avoid ones with really high salt content because they just bulk you out with water =P I use the whey protein from H&B, occasionally its on offer for £15 for 1kg. =) It comes in loads of flavours but the out of the ordinary ones are boggin =P (cookies and cream yuck) protein and milk also helps me sleep, weirdly

Think my immune system is on overdrive today... woke up with the worst pain in my trick hip, my lungs feel like they are on the way out and I'm just generally exhusted. Did a 3 mile walk today, which I can normally do with ease but I came home and promptly fell asleep on the sofa and then went to bed for another 3 hours. Not even like I was lacking sleep, went to bed at 11pm and got up at 8. Now I'm laying in bed not one bit tired and my lungs are literally heaving.... chest infection? Its funny how auto immune conditions work... one day you'll be in agony and the next back to normal... one day I'll feel likeive got pneumonia and the next I'm fine..
-
Aye I know what you mean, I like stretches but I still want a natural earlobe form, I'm at 9mm and my earlobe is still normal =P I would say some people could get up to 12mm and still have a relatively normal looking ears!
-
ahh yes the old work... boo. I've got a 9mm in one ear and people still don't notice its a plug unless I point it out lol. How far you stretching?

dichroic glass? So pretty... :3

oh lord I laughed and laughed.... brilliant :p hadnt come into this thread recently because i'm sure as hell there was going to be few people (namely rez) talking about Linkin Park, and the rest just slagging them off resulting in this really TIRED argument about how the elites think linkin is shit, and everyone arguing about subjectivity/skill/talent and all that other bullshit. on topic, I didn't realise linkin had a new album so I might have to pick it up. Wasn't hugely fond of that last one (struck me as a bit elevator music-y) but thats just the way linkin is.... one album is so totally different from another. Which means that *most people* will at least like a song, but they may dislike the rest =P

went down to my colleagues daughter's graveside today... 2 year anniversary... she would've only been 4 =( Even though its been 2 years there were so many flowers there. Just as we got to the grave it just started pouring out of the heavens... just grim...

glad I've only ever had a petrol car lol.... when my dad was in hospital we went to the petrol pump (he's got a diesel car) and we actually went in and asked at the till LOL

spiking your diet has been proven to far outweigh the "negative" effects of eating more calories in general over the week. Leptin is a hormone that regulates your hunger levels and insulin effectiveness.. On a low calorie diet Leptin often gets depleted...within 7-10ish days. Having a high calorie day boosts the levels (usually between 1.5-2 x your BMR) will boost levels back to normal. As long as you do the sums and work out that you're still having a deficit within the week, you will not gain bad weight. Its far easier to stick to and in my experience weight losses are nearly always a little bit more than the numbers "suggest". And its seems to be quite common for bodybuilders to follow it (the guy who invented the spike diet is ripped to fuck, and still eats dohnuts on his high day)
-
Yep agreed with flink, its about 20% exercise and 80% diet. eating high protein is a seriously expensive diet - tuna, eggs, meat, veggies, protein shakes, pretty much the most expensive food you can buy. I've tried to actually fill my quota with protein (its a lot cause i'm a bit heavier) and its really tough to do weight in kg x 1g protein in a day whilst STILL eating under calories enough to lose weight, and its a real balancing act!
-
does that mean you get free crisps? :3
-
Yep they all do it;
