    Its a real shitty thing trying to find a job. The only reason I got the job I am in now is because my mum worked in that office, and I applied through the temping agency. This was like 4 years ago, when companies were desperate for staff. Then I applied for an advertised job. Its still temp but they are considering changing it to permanent! yay! I'm sorry to say this, but I'm kinda glad that I didn't go to uni. I'd be leaving at about this (or maybe last) year, and I'd probably be totally stuffed. *hugs for all jobseekers* Keep at it guys! /o/

    the thought of driving with magical automatic gears is weird :P (that joke went totally over my head - I'm a woman, what do you expect guyz) Yeah anyway, I'm totally looking forward to having my new money drain.

    less than 10 confirmed afaik (in NORTHERN Ireland - don't know the stats for south). A lot of potential cases in somewhere called Portglenone (where the first case was), which aint tooo far from me. Every time a case is needing to be testing in our trust area we basically get the call for the district nurse to go out. (so we do get the info pretty quickly) But yeah, our call centre pretty much has to be open 9-5, even moreso with these swine flu cases coming up. I feel like I should be worrying, but I couldn't care less!

    Man. I was in work today and the boss is talking about organising a contingency plan in case we all get swine flu... That's laughable.

    I don't have a car yet! Going with my dad in a couple of weeks to get one ordered (avec finance) so that should be awesome. Getting my test booked for sometime in august so it should be arriving at a similar time. (if i pass first time - the pressures on) I couldn't imagine driving without gears n stuff. Seems weird. Maybe I'll post it if this thread is still alive or just bump the thread :P

    Now that I think about it, I've never been asked for ID, or to sign an agreement or wtvr - by either my tattooist or piercer (two different people). Shocking really. I mean I didn't care at the time, I was 18+, and nothing bad (on their side) has ever happened to any of my piercings or tattoos.

    What a load of bull. There's no way a tattooist would do that, they'd lose their livelihood! No-one bloody falls asleep when getting a facial tattoo, no way. Its just not possible

    Its not just dependant on your internet speed, downloads can be slow if the source server (ie where you are getting the file from) is busy. Most people can't get super high speeds. Depends on wether the telephone exchange you are attached to supports it, and the distance you are from said telephone exchange. (and also the telephone infrastructure itself can affect speeds) When companies quote "up to <insert speed>" its very rare that you actually get said speed tbh. And @ the screenshot - chances are if it didnt last long it was just a fluke. I've had them a few times before, it soon crashes down

    But then if you apply to a job internally (ie you know the people hiring) your kinda somewhat fucked - can't get away with white lies If my job is made permanent I have to re-apply and be interviewed by my boss .___.

    woooo I love the sims 3 The complexity of designing things seems to be completely mind blowing at the start, but after a while it seems to click. I find the male characters appear very feminine looking, its really quite creepy.

    Passed my theory test woooooooooooooooooooo /o/ 47/50 multiple choice and 53/75 for hazard perception!

    Fucks sake, hazard perception can kiss my ass. I really just cannot get this right. I'm in for a long night of revision i thinks Theory tomorrow! I'm pretty much expecting to fail on the basis of the hazard perception.
