BT BroadBand Finally gets an update in speed !
Raining_again replied to Jimjebus's topic in General Chit Chat
Youll probably find that the majority will be the same tbh. The exchange hosts all of the internet services as such, if you live far away from them you are pretty buggered (sadly) Check this site: if you can get an LLU operator presence on your exchange, they usually provided better speeds. We were on pipex internet which didnt have LLU operator presence, and we moved to sky (which does) and the speed change was pretty dramatic. (or pipex were just shit when then got bought over by tiscali, who knows ) -
Gahhhhhhh. I'm REALLY struggling to get into a stupid eating routine... I'm suffering from a lot of fatigue these days and even getting up to eat or organising myself is a mega hassle (thats without even thinking about exercise). I ate cereal and low fat crisps on Wed, and nothing all day today. Finished off a mahoosive dinner (with lots of veg and a weightwatchers yoghurt) when I got home. I feel motivated but really too tired to carry this out. Sigh. I just cannot let myself hit 20 stone. I refuse to follow the footsteps of my mothers family. One of my aunts is 32 stone, and in need of a hernia op, but cant have it cause she's so fat. =(

One of my past schoolfriends from Scotland is allergic to sunlight. Her skin is all blistered I think a bodysuit would be a bit horrible to live in. I mean it can get to nearly 30 degrees in the summer, you would actually be roasted alive. I know from experience ..(severe skin condition).. covering up is horrible. I'm pretty sure Mcoy is joking, but I would prefer it if we didn't spread ignorant slur across the forum.. Many people have been scared of catching my "dreadful disease". The feeling of isolation is pretty unbearable.

Internet When Scrolling Down Is Lame

Haven't you got the driver CDs that came with your computer? -
Wow. All this fuss over a few locked threads. I don't think D_D did anything wrong at all.

ooo get you Well done Strider! From the picture (with the dressup) I have to say you don't look 14 stone

There is actually a LOT of positive discrimination here (in the police force) Someone that is male/protestant could do far better than someone of a different religion/gender and they be accepted over the better candidate. Its particularly bad over here because of the troubles in the past.

It can be a big change, but its a change into a more settled world. No longer having the whole summer off is really the big problem. Hopefully the novelty of a new job, and plenty of money should carry you through the first summer! In my work its a whole big bastard of a problem getting time off in the summer. You really have to learn to compromise a lot in terms of summer leave.. I can say without a doubt that having a settled 9-5 isn't necessarily a bad thing. What people can sometimes assume about 9-5 being boring isn't necessarily true.. Depends on the work really. You could get loads of challenges thrown at you in one job, or be sitting in an office typing all day in another. You know you wont be called in last minute to work on a Saturday morning when you have a hangover.. You usually have a contract to determine your hours (which means you shouldn't have to worry about losing hours, and being short on money) and with all that there can be benefits of sick pay, decent annual leave. I found I get treated a lot better than in a retail job for sure. Welcome to the adult world, and good luck with it all Shorty!

I bleached my hair white and got it done brown again. Just fades after time to a funny light browny colour. No biggie. Don't dye your hair twice in succession (like a week), you can seriously burn your scalp and your hair will fall out :P

I went back to weightwatchers today, I officially feel depressed.. I haven't been in 20 weeks (apparently) and i've put a lot of weight on. I don't know how motivated I feel, but it has to be done.

I agree. The whole bright colour thing rocks with short hair. I dunno why, it's just not the same with long hair. And nightwolf is hawt with short hair <3 Ordinary short hair is a bit couldnt care less to me. My (bosses bosses) boss has non coloured short hair, she doesnt make a bit of effort and always looks a shambles

Teeth grinding is really such a pain. I keep doing it (subconsciously) and i've trashed a filing repair I had done in May this year. It was traumatic getting it done too My sister (dental nurse) says she thinks its really bad, my jaw always clicks every time I open my mouth. Back to the dentist I go. *cry*

Dying it seems like an awful lot of work if you can buy a specific fancy dress mario hat on ebay... Too many things could go wrong.. Its a similar theory with hair dying really.
-
The hat probably wouldn't dye too well. Better to get a white one if j00 can.

Kinda awesome, but while my area's infrastructure stays how it is (overhead cables) I'm pretty much limited to about 3.5m. -
Voting should be a manadatory thing imo. Whats the point in having the friggin' system. Like harping on about it being shit and saying, oh well as long as <insert party> dont get elected... WHAT THE FUCK. Dont wan't them to be elected, vote for someone ELSE. Jeesus. I'm sure i'm gonna get some hate for this but I really don't care. There are many other countries where people don't get a say at all, and there are people here throwing away their vote like it means shit all. >_>

If its a pilot you want to be thats a definite no. They are VERY tight on the medical for the pilots (training a pilot costs an unbelivable amount of money) Other jobs im not so sure on. They put you through a medical and fitness testing n stuffs. For example - My boss has a history of collapsed lungs (more common than you would think, can just randomly happen to anybody), so he absolutely couldnt join. Colourblindness can be a big issue for certain jobs. I have a severe skin condition, arthritis, and horrendous sight...so I can say im pretty much a no

aww, cute overload :3
-
If its not severe (like asthmatic symptoms that would affect performance) you should be okay. Things like minor hearing complaints, sight issues, things like that are more of a problem.
-
@ rez : shame on you soiling this poor innocent mind!!
-
... Coolness you didn't?!? You look way too innocent to come out with things like that
