  1. I made my offer in december, and didn't get until June. Beware you may have solicitors fees to pay at this stage if you back out.
  2. There needs to be more men in the world that think "meowing at your cat mid sentence" is acceptable!
  3. Good man, totally the right move! You used the Gibbs slap?
  4. OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD they are so CUTE!!! I'm getting wee Hank (the cat i posted a few posts up) on tuesday Mama cat looks like my sparky!
  5. And that's why you look like superman! No coincidence!
  6. I had my fuse box replaced. And loads of other wee bits n pieces through the house (including 3 spotlights in kitchen) and it came to 180 inc the parts. Probably talking 100 as it was the biggest job he did. Mine was below standard for the shower element of it, he said it wasnt dangerous, was probably up to spec at the time, but as he was replacing it he had to do it to the right standard. Hope that helps
  7. That's a hard one. My sister kinda has the same problem with a particular friend of her SO. My sister also lives with her SO which makes it a lot harder. Her SO knows how she feels but hes the kind of guy that's very laid back about things. He also doesn't like some of her friends so they kinda just let live. Did you actually SAY that you didn't mind her spending time with them, that you just werent keen. Because unless you say it women *generally* take the worst-case scenario. --- So I had been talking to a fella on OKC for a while in around Jan/Feb time. We got messaging over facebook or something, and for a while he went quiet, wasn't really interested in talking to me etc. So I finally got it out of him that he wasn't really feeling it. That was ok, I wasn't heartbroken, but deleted him from FB etc and moved on. Got a message from him last night...... "hows things going saw on your profile you finally got your house" etc. Hello... what the fuck? You pretty much told me you weren't feeling it no less than 6 months ago.. What is wrong with people? Am I sloppy seconds when something didn't work out with someone else? Ugh
  8. Sleeping is when you get dem gains. Just sayin.
  9. Haha i did think that myself Absolutely agree. I had loads of 2s, and a couple of 3s as my electrics and oil heating had no certificates of some description. Electrics are completely fine. Something needed updated in the electrics panel for shower connection, to bring it in line with current legislation, but it wasn't dangerous. The oil burner just needed a service, everything was totally safe. Like @Rummy said its all a liability thing, you can't turn around n say o you didnt tell me this, etc. And my sisters was exactly the same. I need to get my outside drains flushed out, they are almost completely blocked. One outside of kitchen my dad went into and it has some sewage run through as well. So safe to say a lot of retching done in that job. Just hasn't been looked after when it was a renters house. Having to get someone in to flush the other one through and finish the kitchen one, not a job I want my poor dad to do :-(
  10. nah that'd be something you do yourselves. Sometimes the surveys can be a bit over the top. Mine told me i needed a new back and front door, i only really needed a new back door. When you move in get a sparky to come in and check the place over (i did with mine), chances are it may not be as severe as the survey suggests.
  11. I hope to be adopting this little guy in the next few weeks! Been up to see him and hes just adorable!
  12. If i won a million I would pay off my mortgage, (64k), small extension on house to make kitchen bigger... new car (maybe), and I would go part time. I would tell people i won 100k, paid for the above, and can now afford to work part time with no mortgage.
  13. OnceI went for a spin class, freeweights in gym and then yoga class and my mother nearly called the police I was gone for so long lol
  14. I'm getting back into int fasting again. Scales are going back down again. Hurrah!
  15. Yeah that is really good of them!
  16. ^^ Very good advice from @Shorty. Really no point in breaking the bank over it. And those solicitors fees are on your before you know it (even with my flippin 6 month delay lol)
  17. There are some poses I find very easy (i'm hypermobile) but when it comes to the strength stuff like downward dog i'm like...fuck this >_<
  18. Glad things are getting better for you @nightwolf! I remember how horrid it was being stuck to an iv for 24 hours, let alone having shit like that up your dodah! >_<
  19. Yoga is incredibly good for you, & tougher than it seems! I recommend it!
  20. until the interest rates go sky high lol I've been in my house for a few months now. All that legal rubbish is FINALLY behind me!!
  21. Learning lots of real life practical skills. Have done the DIY thing to death and pretty much can cope with most non electrical non plumbing problems. Learning how to sew next. Languages are not for me at all.... my memory is just not built for linguistics lol
  22. I'm fine now thankfully, hope you are on the mend too? Most half decent companies will pay you but I think a lot of retail places don't! The NHS pays 1 month full pay, 1 month half pay, for every year of service, up to a max of 6 months full/ 6 months half. But you get fucking skinned for being off, we have policies upon policies for sick leave (a bloody 80 odd page document) so it doesn't "pay" to take sick too often. I was pulled in with bosses boss yesterday for my return to work interview.. Luckily he was nice enough about it. My voice still sounds like garb so he couldn't exactly argue And my glands are still huge. Bloody glandular fever I never seem to get away from it
  23. I avoid wheat. Triggers my migraines & autoimmune symptoms. Sometimes I just want damn bread. lol
