  1. There's only an incredibly slim chance that my poor little 7 year old cat will make it past monday and i am utterly devastated. He has spinal damage possibly from arthritis that was gradually getting worse, and he is not responding to treatment. We have increased the dose and given til Monday, but if he gets worse i will call out of hours vet because I can't bear him suffering any more than he already is. Wheres the line though? How far do you give them before they're just suffering too damn much?
  2. He is home under strict bed rest, which means hes in a big doggie cage. Stops him being hurt by my other cats, and prevents him from jumping or moving too much and hurting himself over again. Hes got a damaged/herniated/irritated disc, which hopefully will heal with time. Hes still very sore but settling down and getting more comfortable after the journey home in the car. I've experienced similar pain with 4 herniated discs so i've loads of ideas how to help him. And I have an orthopedic magnetic heat mat which i'm going to try on him. Vet has even suggested acupuncture too.
  3. My tabby cat Freddy had a lot of pains in his body, odd pains. Then his legs started giving out. i ended up taking him to the vet last night, they did an xray this morning. I had very low expectations of him coming out of it, and i thought the vet would recommend him being PTS. Thankfully this morning they gave me a call n said hes got a bit of abnormality in his spine but no fractures. So we're trying some treatment and praying hard that it works. I'm so so worried about him. Spent all day expecting I'd have to rush to the vet to say goodbye. but hes still got fight in him so i'm going to be with him every step
  4. I figured you must have connections here to know as much as you do I'm just holding the hope that it all works out for the best for everyone involved, english, scots, welsh, & us! I'm young enough that the troubles didn't touch my life that much but from what I hear I really don't want it returning!
  5. Oh bloody hell they won't lol I think even if we had a SF first minister it would still be very tricky, the unionists are still out there and do not want a united Ireland. Things haven't changed that much with the people. I very much doubt NI is equipped to become its own country independent of both either. Things are very unsure for our wee country at the moment. I just hope its not a big step back for the peace process here.
  6. Our little country is royally fucked. Farming will fall to its knees (which is a lot of our economy) and a hard border between north & south will restrict movement and I reckon there will be a surge in the Troubles again. I voted to remain, and would again.
  7. Jeez all this developed from next to no symptoms not all that long ago if I recall? Hope you recover quickly, fingers crossed they can keep as much intact as possible. Lots of love mate xxx
  8. Sparky being nice to the new girl (who is adorably chubby)
  9. Hope it goes ok nightwolf!
  10. Yeah if I had a job where i was more on the pc than talking on the phone it'd be ok. Yeah its a pita but you're right to stick with the advice. I hated having to try to swallow pills with a swollen throat. Hoping you feel better soon Ash, take it easy!
  11. he was definitely on R-E but I think he got banned before or shortly after it turned into N-E.
  12. i always thought it was a cold, until the most recent 3 or 4 times. I lose my voice and its had a huge impact on my sick record which is a bit of a pain. If I had any job but my own (call centre) i could probably come to work through most of it.
  13. a 7 foot guy with hair everywhere, in a pink dolly dress? I totally get peoples absolute right to transition and they shouldn't have to "pass" etc to live their lives. But it was just a little bit silly the way he got on. Then he got real pissy with everyone about everything. Obviously looking for the shock factor. (fyi I liked Rokhed in general)
  14. I've had about 6 episodes of tonsilitis (over a number of years), as well as a serious event ending me up in hospital, AND having immune risk/ infection risk. Still haven't had mine out. Next time I'm ill with it i'm going to press the matter. Thankfully since the glandular fever and hospital admission I've not had it again, asides the normal cold type throat symptoms.
  15. surverys mortgages legal things legal things legal things land registry held up daily telephone calls with solicitors for months on end frustration anger wanting to kill everyone and everything finally getting the keys realizing even though the house looked in great nick everything needs to be done and you've got SHIT ALL money to do it with and that you're going to be poor for years BUT YOU OWN A HOUSE then more things need to be done and its a never ending money black hole *breathes* It's great though..........
  16. I'm fed up. Had a kidney infection a month ago - because of this i had to come off the meds that control my psoriasis, so im currently in a big flakey weepy old patch of relapse. I wanted to bleach my hair but i've got a big weeping sore above my ear which i wont be able to avoid. Found a job that I would bloody love (data analyst) which I have the exact experience for but theyre asking for RSA which is a bloody letter typing qualification. I'm applying anyway so I get practice at trying to meet the criteria but I know I won't be selected.
  17. yes and yes
  18. Even if she just doesn't want kids, its a very insensitive topic. As a woman who does not want kids I am honestly quite fucking tired of having to justify myself to people that I meet. A surprisingly large amount of people judge or imply that i'm just a stupid woman & my body clock will start ticking etc yada yaaaaahhh yaaaaaaaaaaaawn. So please don't be one of those people, even if she can change her mind, she still deserves respect on her decision right now. I don't think there's any harm in dating, you need to get out there and experience relationships and stuff, this doesn't have to be forever! Just as long as you both know where you stand and see how you feel in a few months time.
  19. I dunno you risk her feeling very pressured to have to justify something she really shouldn't have to.
  20. Definitely don't hang on for a relationship if you have two very different fundamental views. Women can and do change their minds, but you can't wait on a maybe it'll happen one day if you are set on a definite yes. Just be friends! You're a lovely person, and totally gorgeous, there will be LOADS of ladies willing to have lovely chocolate babies with you
  21. you need to find out if she can handle you eating meat with her on a regular basis, so good thinking on that. A relationship will go nowhere if shes constantly sniping at you, or you have to make a major change in your life to accommodate her. I hope it goes well!
  22. drop them an email and let them know you moved in xyz date and paid yours from then and they will stop sending letters. Had the same in my flat.
  23. Yea, we had a colleague (in another dept in our building) take her life a few years ago too. Knew she had issues with stress etc, but never thought she was the kind of character to do that. Its nearly always the ones you least expect. I've done it myself, its incredible the kind of facade you can put up when you have to. Luckily I've never been that deep in depression to even think of making an attempt on my life, but its amazing what you can cover up when it comes to it. Slightly unrelated note - ive been having some kind of paranoid episodes lately, and i've not really been sleeping either. Woke up for the FIRST time in my life with black bags under my eyes. Bad look..... May have to invest in some make up
