Of everything, Hayseed Dixie spring to mind here. Dunno if they're considered relatively unknown or particularly obscure, but they're a hillbilly rock tribute band - by chance I saw 'em play live a few years back and guzzle their way through an entire fridge full of beer. Fun!

A traditional game could work, but they feel better suited to handhelds. The handheld games have evolved very slowly, but they're getting there. Give me a big persistent world console Pokemon Snap and I'd be happy. Would probably be a great place to hang out after a stressful day. Just imagine chilling for a few hours in that world and observing some Pokemon, spectating AI trainer battles and various people going about their lives... with a sweet gyro camera, Miiverse photo sharing and the chance to catch Oak sneaking in the back door after sending a trainer out on their journey.

Nintendo should have coded regular controls behind an amiibo.

I have it on, it still rinses an iPhone 6s battery though. It does run really well though even with the battery saving option switched on.

I slammed power saving mode on immediately, game ate almost 27% of my battery from an hour on-screen yesterday. Yikes. Overall it's pretty fun. The lack of a filter is a bold move and Miifoto is incredible.

Keeps crashing for me when I try to add friends via Twitter. Could be because my Twitter account is private?

So apparently pressing the Y button will lock the reticule in old-school aiming mode, eliminating the need for motion controls... however to master the game, you're gonna have to tilt that Gamepad. Was expecting pure motion controls, so pleasantly surprised with this news. Guess someone at Nintendo had the Smart Bombs to say "CAN'T LET YOU DO THAT" to Miyamoto.

Just bought a Japanese N64, £20.00, gonna clip those tabs off and open up a world of NTSC joy. (Japanese Smash Bros has the best box and label art)

So we got an amazing few days of gifs, Photoshops and speculation, we learned about a super talented guy and that weird controller isn't real. erything worked out! [edit] Except my spelling. That didn't work out at all.

A friend who uses My Figure Collection arranged for someone in the USA to order us one each. They didn't even ask for any extra money or anything, some people are super nice.

I think I'd use it more if the range wasn't so terrible in anything other than a shanty house.

If I'm not mistaken, that muddy look for Star Fox 64 is just the N64 Virtual Console's horrible darkness issue.

Reckon it'll still be backwards compatible so makes no sense to keep producing something when whatever the new hardware is will probably play the games.

2016 will be the year I finally beat Earthbound. God damn the combat system is annoying.
