Hey guys, I've just gotten out of a meeting with Nintendo reps and have found out some new information! Developer Support There are some developers who are wanting to make games for the Revolution! As Nintendo are talking with more developers, more are coming on board -Amazing! This goes against all mathematicians estimates! There are some that are sceptical right now and want to wait to see how the console does but there are others who like the idea - Brilliant! I cannot give you any names because of NDA's I'm under. Games There are games being made for Revolution!! Nintendo is making a new mario game and a smash bros revolution! There is also a version of Spider Man 3 coming out which uses the revmote, I've been told that piece of information even before one of the largest gaming sites on the internet has been able to release it! There are some great games coming. I have seen some great FPS games but i cannot tell you about these due to the NDA's I'm under. Sega have 7 titles in development for Revolution right now, including a Sonic game! The figure doesn't really matter though because I haven't given you any details of the games. Later on if Sega never release 7 Revo titles I can just say a couple got canned because the system is doing poorly. If the system does great and they release more than 7 titles I can say 'the system is doing great so they decided to develop more!' There is an RPG being made also by a company I cannot reveal. And another company is making a sports title! There is even a fighting game being made that looks great! And it's true what Matt from one of the worlds biggest gaming sites has said recently - Final Fantasy:CC 2 is looking fantastic! Games will be priced at exactly $39.99. although some games may be released at a price below this from $10 - $39.98 and there may be some premium titles that will cost up to $70! Also, there may be more premium and budget titles being released than titles that are at the $39.99 mark. Name Nintendo won't tell me the final name for the revolution but it has been decided on. But the nintendo rep did say, (shockingly as he really shouldn't divulged this information), that Nintendo like the name! Wahay! Release The release date for the console in america is just before thanksgiving with other terrotories following sometime after! Nintendo have never revealed this before! Due to production problems though, this may change but the console would still be released between April 06 - Mar 09. And finally Well there is so much more I could tell you! But unfortunately, I can't because of NDA's I'm under. I follow my NDA's very strictly and do not want to break them. This is why I have revealed information to you! It's just when I reveal anything specific that I break an NDA. When I reveal things that everybody already knows or has made a good vague guess on, but nintendo haven't revealed publically, THEN I am not breaking an NDA. This is how NDA's work! Anyone else would have a thread like this locked but there's so much hot information here, I'm sure mine will stay open! I can say one more thing though even though I shouldn't. Nintendo will be revealing some great info for you at E3! I wish I could tell you but I can't. They are also preparing some games that they hope to sell at system launch! UNBELIEVABLE!! I thought maybe we'd have to wait months after launch to see any games from them! They really are too good to us

Absolutely nothing that we haven't heard or that isn't strongly rumoured already. Read between the lines and you will see this. There's lots of vagueness that isn't immedietly obvious. I'd go and disect this piece by piece but I can't be bothered wasting my time. I'll point out one thing though. So basically what he is saying is that he thinks the games will be priced from $25 to $50+ Lol. covered all bases there then?

I have to say what I've always said and that is that BigTac is not some kind of big industry insider, he's just another guy who likes to pretend he is. I really don't understand the blind admiration he gets from you guys here. It's quite funny watching some of you treat him like this giant fountain of all gaming knowledge, I'm sure he loves it! I mean he makes some intelligent guesses (usually piggy backing off the very strongest rumours going around at the time); some very vague statements (Nintendo may announce something) and you guys believe his every word. "Everything he said was still true" because what he said in the first place was so vague. And actually if you go look back, everything he's said has not been true at all. In some cases he's just said so much that he's guessed some stuff right and the other is overlooked and in others he's just been plain wrong but covered it up convincingly. I mean carry on believing his every word if you like but it just astounds me how many of you can't see that he's just another fake "industry insider" that knows lots of "secret information". He's just intelligent enough to know how to handle things so that a lot of you won't instantly start thinking he's a fake. All credit to the guy for being able to convince so many of you though.

When are people going to start realising that BigTac is not some big industry insider, he's just some guy who likes to pretend he is and makes some educated guesses about things. Most of the things he "reveals" are heavily rumoured by relatively trustworthy web sources at the time anyway.

I wouldn't get your hopes up on it being a fully 3d world...

Yes. Of course you can perform an appendectomy yourself. Take a knife and make a nice big slit in your stomach. Reach into the opening and pull out various organs until you find one that looks a little like an appendix. Cut this away and then (if she is around) call your mother to help stitch you back up. Most mum's are a whizz with a needle and thread! Alternatively, stop asking stupid questions and get yourself to a doctor asap.

The drive I linked to up there that I own is fantastic. I've had mine about a year and shove it in my backpack most days and bounce off to uni with it. No problems at all so far. Just like an internal but it's moveable. I've found it especially useful for carrying around huge uncompressed video files from my place to the editing suite at uni. As someone else mentioned, it's also good for going around to mates with if there are huge files you want to give them that'd take ages to transfer over the net. It's plug and play too so there's no software needed. I know i'm sounding like I work for the company that makes them now but I really couldn't recommend it more. Far more useful to me than another internal hard drive.

Get an external hard drive. DVD's can sometimes be slow to play back video/music data if it's burned as a data disk. External hard drives are pretty cheap nowadays. I have this one, it's 250 GB and I gotta say it's really good. Plug it into a USB 2 port and it'll run just like a normal hard drive. I keep all my media and music on it to take a little work off my main drive.

Sorry, I meant I'm sure they said that for the Revo to save GC games you needed a GC memory card.

Yeah it is pretty much a customer service phoneline place. And from my experience of them all they do all day is bang their heads together and wander around like chimps. Jesus, even Nintendo's PR company cause me less frustation then the customer service guys.

Twilight Princess definitely. Hopefully that would keep me occupied until E3 came along and those other things were announced.

I think Nintendo have stated that any gamecube saves need a gamecube memory card and cannot be saved onto SD card. (Correct me someone if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure I read that) Yeah you can use 1 and 2 GB cards. The 512 of memory was the amount the of flash memory the system comes with. Yeah and as someone said you probably do have to format SD cards with a special file system. Can't remember reading this anywhere but it is very likely.

I'm a bit annoyed. I have to stay in today waiting for a sodding delivery that hasn't come yet. I need to go and get one egg to be able to make pancakes tonight. Looking increasingly likely that there's no pancake fun for me

Worked fine for me and I must say I really enjoyed it. I swear there's a bunch of footage in there that I've either not noticed or just not seen before, thought I'd watched everything. Props to you though, it's got me hyped about the game again.

When I used to want a girl to stay around because of something like that (and if you honestly don't want anything to happen) then I'dexplain the situation and say that she'd sleep in my room and I'd kip on the sofa if it's just for one night. Trouble is though, my mum was overly okay with stuff like that. I'd often have friends that were girls that wanted to stay over and my mum'd go 'Ooo you should get the other bed out and put them together like a double bed so you can have a hug!' And she'd literally insist on this o.O It's like she wanted me to have sex! :S One time a girl told me some random sob story and she needed a place to stay the night and blah. I said she could stay at mine. She came back and I kinda realised then that the sob story was very likely extremely exaggerated shit and she just wanted in my pants :\ Trouble is the feeling wasn't mutual. Get back home to my mum and ask her if it's okay and that i'd sleep downstairs on the sofa. My mum's like (and the girl is standing there) Nooo you should sleep upstairs too on the other bed! and I'm trying to psychically contact her,screaming 'NO NO NO YOU STUPID WOMAN! I DON'T WANT TO!!!' and said "no, it's okay. I'm sure she wants her space. I'll sleep here." "Oh I'm sure she wouldn't mind? Would you dear? You don't mind, do you?!" So being someone who finds it very hard to say no to scary hormonal girls, the inevitable happened... Doh! >.<

Ditto As I kinda said before, people who understand why they need this probably already have a solution for it now (like the firefox plugin I have too) Definitely go with shorty's idea though and show people why the site is useful. I think you'll do great with this as long as you target the people who don't yet fully understand why they'd need something like this. It's like they'll see it and go OMG THAT'S AWESOME! But when I see it I just go 'oh right yeah, cool idea but a bit late for me' Still loving the site design though. So simple but so awesome

Nice idea definitely. I can't count the number of times I've had to go write the code for the reasons you've stated above. But yeah, like DiemetriX, I'm using Firefox now so don't really need to use it. And I just think anyone who understands why they'd need to use it, might just find it faster to go write the code themselves. Very very nice idea though, and the site looks really clean and simple but stylish at the same time.

My god! how did you work that one out? Tomorrow I will either eat some toast... Or I won't.
