Reports suggesting that Japanese companies struggling with the whole 'work from home' thing, much more so than Western devs. I'm happy with either approach but I think a decent chunk of people would still prefer they do a live presentation at E3. As for Directs in general though, they've obviouslly been a huge success, to the point where everyone is doing them now, in a shamelessly similar style too in some cases. I watched Google attempt it after their "It's time for another Stadia Connect!" tweet () and it was painful. Be interesting what they do next but I can see them testing one-off announcements by Twitter while the world is in lockdown and see how that goes. Maybe the occasional mini Direct for third party or indie stuff.

Separate from Covid, a couple of (actual) insiders like Imraan (Game Informer/Kinda Funny) are saying Nintendo are moving away from general Directs anyway and won't be doing them as frequently. We'll see I guess. Tbf the whole community culture around them has gotten pretty toxic in the last couple of years. Any tweet they do is met with hundreds of "WHERE'S THE DIRECT?!!?!" type replies, people counting down announcements on Era, etc...

I'm watching the last three episodes of Rebels tonight, and I am excited. That is all.

I was pretty shocked to find out I've played this 160 hours in a little over a month. Now I'm sure others are higher than that, but my point is I adored New Leaf and it was the first game I'd ever put 100+ hours into but even that game I played every day for a year only reached 140ish hours. I think it's because there's so much more to do in this New Horizons. In the 3DS one I'd feel content with playing 20 mins a day but this game is much more of a time investment. Just thought it was interesting. Also, does anyone feel like they're missing out on stuff with their villagers? I keep seeing people talk about villagers asking you to run errands for them, or them playing timed games with you etc but I've seen none of that. It's mostly just them teaching me reactions, giving me clothes or asking if they can call me a nickname. Anyone else?

I wish you could combine Xbox's forward-thinking initiatives like Cloud gaming, Game Pass, adaptive controllers, focus on indies, the Elite controller, Design Lab, backwards compatibility (ok that last one isn't so much forward thinking lol) and tons more .... with PS4's software.I get that the former has to do things like that to catch up this gen, and the latter doesn't have to do anything except release games, but still, a mix of the two would be a match made in heaven.

I didn't mind the storyline in Voyager's finale, it just needed spreading out over another episode or two. The credits popping up seconds after they make it back was a real kick in the teeth. All Good Things is still the best final Trek episode ever though, obv.

Nifty idea for a reveal, I kept tuning in as the day went on. Of course you had idiots talking about how boring it was, as if Ubisoft expected them to sit there for 9 hours. I'm hoping the map won't be THE BIGGEST OPENWORLD MAP THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN!!1!1! and the game is generally less bloated than recent entries. Also get rid of the bird, it's such a dull gameplay loop having to fly around places before every mission.

I can make you as many as you like. Only thing I don't have tons of are the yellow roses. They're really nice though and plenty of customisation options
