  1. I give up trying to grow purple roses. I've tried putting white roses next to each other but it's just not happening.
  2. I had switched off for the night but I might pop round if you don't mind? Just a running visit this time though if that's ok
  3. Safe to say one of the toughest, if not the toughest boss fight is behind you. (Though Traitor Lord is up there too tbf and you managed that one)
  4. Feel free to give Sony the benefit of the doubt (but not Nintendo obv). From what I've seen the last few years, arrogant Sony seems to be rearing its head again, I hope not cause I'm looking forward to getting a PS5. "Too much information, too often"? Is that just a personal opinion you made up because you refuse to give Xbox any credit whatsoever? Their last showing apart, people seem to have enjoyed how Xbox has been rolling out information so far. Meanwhile Cerny's presentation was by most accounts, a blunder. Their new controller was divisive but at least got buzz going sure, but the only reason they showed that early was to stop it leaking when sending it out to all their devs. Very interesting generation coming up. All I was saying was that Sony haven't revealed a big game in the last three years, and I thought that was pretty ridiculous and worthy of note. Hopefully they'll go with a shorter reveal > release time scale this gen.
  5. Ok, the last 12 months: NSMBUDX, Yoshi's Crafted World, Super Mario Maker 2, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Daemon X Machina, Tetris 99, Astral Chain, Luigi's Mansion 3, Link's Awakening Remake and Pokemon and Animal Crossing Oops, I'd forgotten Labo VR and Ring Fit Adventure, so add those in instead.
  6. It's almost as if NSMBUDX, Yoshi's Crafted World, Super Mario Maker 2, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Daemon X Machina, Tetris 99, Astral Chain, Luigi's Mansion 3, Link's Awakening Remake and Pokemon and Animal Crossing didn't just happen in the past 16 months. Don't be obtuse. There is an alternative to 1) revealing games three years in advance and 2) not revealing anything for three years. Magic answer number 3) Reveal games and keep your fans engaged steadily throughout the life of a console, with a healthy reveal > release window of 6 months 1 or 2 years. Show new stuff at E3 each year and don't cancel your PSX fan show because you've already showed your big guns. It's just an observation
  7. Unhappiness? I'm not bothered that my PS4 had been collecting dust since Spider-Man, so no need to put words into my mouth. All I said was it was pretty ridiculous they haven't announced a big new first party game in three whole years. Just an observation, this board is full of them. You're also missing the point. They're in this situation BECAUSE they revealed games years in advance. It's why they've barely had an E3 presence recently, they've nothing new to show. Hopefully Sony will copy Nintendo's approach with the Switch and pack year one of PS5, give us something new to look forward to. Fully expecting Horizon 2 at launch at the bare minimum. It doesn't matter if a console "needs" a big game at launch, why not reward early adopters with a big game to go with their shiny new console.
  8. You would hope so, they've had plenty of time to make it happen. It'd be pretty ridiculous if it's another barren first year like PS4 had. Still, 2017 since their last big reveal! Even with their "announce things years in advance and show off the same games every E3" approach that's still pretty crazy.
  9. Just read that Sony haven't revealed a big first party game since 2017 It's baffling.
  10. Trees need to have a 2 space gap between it and another tree to grow
  11. I've never actually tried that Photopia thing. I visited Harv's island once and was like... ok... and never returned lol
  12. That wrestling room is great! Awesome, I hadn't noticed that. LOL
  13. Feels a bit like cheating but oh well. Not as bad as time travelling
  14. I needed some trees yesterday, I just went to a mystery island and dug some up. The Cedar trees are a bit rarer but you can definitely find some, eat some fruit and dig them up to take back to your island.
  15. Ah don't worry about it, don't need anymore now! Think I've asked about 4 different people for benches, still no diy
  16. That bit in Avengers Endgame where all the female superheroes line up with Girl Power was one of the lamest, most cringeworthy bits of cinema I've seen in a while. Just have lots of female characters but treat them the same as you do male ones, don't draw attention to the distinction and it'll all work out. Hopefully this female-centric Star Wars show will be more Wonder Woman and less Ghostbusters 2016 etc.
  17. As usual, hugely impressive numbers. Wonder if they can reach 100 million Switches lifetime. 6.6 million for NSMBU*breathes*DX shows there's still a big market for 2D Mario. Wow, so all those Nintendo games in NPD charts, add another 48.5% sales on top of that.
  18. If anyone has another spare garden bench DIY that'd be great, so I can stop slave driving @Aneres11 to make three of them for me
  19. Those aren't male-centric stories, they're stories that happen to involve male characters. That's a separate discussion, and in general I agree, but it's no use looking 42 years back, look at more recent Star Wars and you'll see this is changing. That said I don't really care about the gender, race, sexuality of writers or directors, I just want the best person for the job to get it. Not someone just to fulfil a quota. I've no issue at all with more female leads in addition to Ahsoka, Rey, Jyn (standing strong next to male leads like Anakin, Luke, Han and Kaz), but there's plenty of diversity in modern Star Wars. I just don't see why an entire series needs to be created that cuts that diversity in half and only shows female characters. Recent history has not been kind to things like this, be they critically or box office wise, look at the new Ghostbusters, the new Charlie's Angels, Ocean's 8, Birds of Prey etc. It's different with things like Wonder Woman, that's just an action film with a female lead, and that's great. The others are female-centric films from their very concept. It looks like this new Star Wars show is heading the same way, which is worrying. And I disagree that my comment was disparaging. You can call me out if you want, but when your primary argument is female characters = new stories, I don't think it's achieved much.
  20. I'm sure I've asked you this before but are you able to make regular benches? I can bring some crafting stuff if you are and wouldn't mind?
  21. Well deserved So basically if it tracks similarly to the other two games, this could hit 40+ million? Crazy.
