  1. The way you call it "time-gating content" like it's some awful, disgusting practise. They're seasonal events, the entire game is based on a real world cock. That's literally the entire point. Personally, I'm terra-forming AND leaving space for new stuff. Genius I know.
  2. Love it! Surprised they're teasing each monthly event so far in advance. Was this what was in the datamine or different?
  3. Nice little improvement to the eShop. Hovering over game icons cycles through screenshots so you can see what a game is like without having to click onto it.
  4. You want a popup to say "Hey your game is on sale, buy now?", no that isn't a thing. Anywhere as far as I know. They send you emails, and now maybe notifications on your phone.
  5. It is on the Switch itself. You go into your profile and click... "Wishlist". Great news about the activity log though!
  6. Nice!! I'm constantly checking out my eShop wishlist, so easy to see when games you're interested in are on sale. So this'll make it even better. Their Direct a few weeks ago must have been chopped to pieces because of Covid.
  7. Fuck me. Literally shouted out whooooaaaa last night watching this
  8. Fantastic update, watched that video with a big grin on my face. So creative. If it was a choice between a new game theme or a world editor they definitely chose the right option Love those laser shooting Mechakoopas
  9. The museum entrance being 3 blocks wide is doing my OCD no favours at all
  10. I don't like the way they put the 'continue watching' bit further down the page. It should be top! I'm glad it's further down the page. If you could remove individual stuff from Continue watching then I'd say sure put it at the top but until then...
  11. The Disney+ UI is SLICK a f Easily the nicest of all the streaming services
  12. 100% agree, it's the smartest thing they did with this game. In a game full of smart decisions. The point is, play the game however you want to play the game, but don't complain when the game is designed a certain way and you think it should be changed to suit a completely different model. A life sim IS a game as service, it's supposed to be a long term thing. I'm really pleased they're hiding all the seasonal updates behind patches. Stops leakers from ruining everything (or at least, it's supposed to), something many on this board have complained about it in the past.
  13. Well, yes, obviously you can say well they should give us even more content now, and even more more content later. With all the new features that New Leaf didn't have like terraforming, crafting and placing objects outside I've never been short of stuff to do so far. Anyway, whatever, it's just interesting how more free content can be turned into a bad thing by some I've not read the datamine and I'm excited by new stuff being introduced bit by bit. Keeps things fresh.
  14. But you'll surely have expected them to update the game with new content every month or two, they even said they would be doing it. That's why I haven't terraformed my island in the first month and left half of it open to development.
  15. I really don't understand this complaining about Nintendo adding things to their already excellent game. Makes no sense to me. Did people really think this was all there would ever be.
  16. Erm? - They haven't been working on this game for 7 years, it's pretty irresponsible to suggest that - Nintendo have been great at releasing free content updates all throughout the Switch's life. - They obviously want to give this game a long life and give people new stuff to do each month - Why does it have to be phrased so negatively "content that's already in the game and locked behind patche!1!!", sounds like something from ResetEra. Aaaanyway.... Thanks for spoiler-ing the datamine @Hero-of-Time, happy to just wait and see
  17. If anyone ever stumbles on a spare angled signpost, signpost or plain wooden sign DIY I'd love to trade for it.
  18. That's what the whole game is based on really, finding a safe moment to heal, even in the middle of boss fights. When a boss is staggered, that's one big chance to heal, but also in between some attacks. Some charms let you heal while moving, or heal double, or heal faster. Loads of them to tweak your play style.
  19. Welcome to Hollow Knight The first 5 hours or so of the game can be pretty rough, you might feel you're aimlessly wandering around, but once it clicks...
  20. I was going to read into how to breed different colour flowers, then I found a guide explaining it... https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ARIQCUc5YVEd01D7jtJT9EEJF45m07NXhAm4fOpNvCs/mobilebasic Nah you're alright
  21. Have to say I'm loving the village-building in this game, the 3DS one was ok for that with its 160p screen (or whatever it was) but the freedom to just put anything out in the open is great fun. Also I'm a bit obsessed with putting paths down not doing my OCD any good though.
  22. What I do is hold my thumb way off the button, a couple of inches, and then when you get a bite mash it down. Managed the full Mileage without missing one. Stops you from getting twitchy
  23. @Tales on his fifth attempt to catch that fish, maybe try reeling in from in front
