  1. I think doubling up on big games in August-October is unlikely, and probably not the smartest thing to do anyway, but otherwise I can see the rest of the schedule happening. First party + Re-releases + the occasional third party like Octopath Traveller + Indies. If Nintendo are ordering 25-30 million Switches for next FY they must be confident...
  2. A Captain Toad game for Christmas 2018 please. Oh and Pilotwings.
  3. Was planning on getting it for PS4, glad I waited!
  4. Reggie said a few weeks ago they'd be talking about their 2018 plans early in the year so January seems a safe bet
  5. You pointed out an annoyance, I suggested a positive to the system they've implemented, that's all. No accusation needed, I was in no way trying to deflect.
  6. You can change the display name on PS4 "Mark Smith" or whatever, which only your close friends see, not the PSN username you appear as online. A lot of people are still using the PSN name they signed up with on the PS3 a decade a go Kotaku: I still hate my shitty PSN name Point is, I'd rather have 2 minutes of annoyance to give a friend code to someone, for the freedom to be able to change my username whenever I want.
  7. I think it's annoying for about 2 minutes then gives me the freedom to change my Switch username whenever I like. Both the name that appears to my friends, AND the tag that appears online to everyone.
  8. But that's my point, no one cares about wanting to change a 12 digit code, there's no need to change it. People do like the option to change their username/gamer tag though, which you can do on the Switch.
  9. Oh I see, you can change the display name for your close friends, just not your actual PSN name. Got it.
  10. Why would you need to change your 12 digit identifier? It's not a false equivalence in the slightest. Never suggested the process for adding is anything but a catch up to competitors, just that that process is equal. Disagree, and you can't change your PSN name as far as I'm aware, Kinda Funny complain about it all the time, they have an entire section dedicated to bad PSN names that Sony won't let them change.
  11. Yikes, awful month. I probably won't renew my PS Plus tbh, can't remember the last time one of the games was of interest to me and I don't use online anyway.
  12. Their friend code system on Switch is actually pretty smart (never thought I'd say that!) PS4 has usernames but there's been a big demand for years by fans for the ability to change your PSN name. Sony so far don't seem able to do it, though they've said they're trying. Nintendo has 12 digit codes, but you can change your actual username as often as you like. It's also not like old friend codes where both people have to enter each other's code, the Switch version works just like any other. Add someone, they accept, done.
  13. Taking advantage of the Switch being region free to get games that haven't been localised for Europe, fantastic. Taking advantage to get an independent game as cheap as possible, I wouldn't say that's a particularly great thing. Don't get me wrong I love a bargain as much as anyone but the gaming industry is so fragile right now, I'm more than happy to give indie devs what their game is worth, and even at £11 Stardew is a steal! (sorry to get all soapbox-y, it was just a thought)
  14. This looks great, is it ok to just play as a 1-2 player though?
  15. Breath of the Wild. Odyssey is probably the more complete game, with far fewer (no?) flaws but Zelda was an experience I haven't had since the good old NES/SNES days. I'll never forget the sense of adventure that game provided and the traversal + physics engine + atypical openworld map, is a perfect mix. Honourable mentions also for Shovel Knight Specter of Torment, Mario + Rabbids and Mass Effect Andromeda which I quite enjoyed. 2017 was easily Nintendo's year, to have two 97 Metacritic games in the same year is just incredible, and probably won't happen ever again.
  16. It's a special, wonderful game, I'm at about 220 moons, playing a little bit each night.
  17. I got the em I got the email at 3pm on the dot
  18. Has anyone played This is the Police? The trailer has me intrigued...
  19. Nice work. The only Pokemon game I've ever played (and likely will ever play) is X and the cardboard cutout villain with the most cliched master plan ever made me realise... people don't play Pokemon games for the storyline!
  20. Another vote for... Uncharted 4 and the recent standalone look so good, but when I fired up Uncharted 1 I was bored to tears after an hour. I'd like to get through the first three games, but not sure I ever will.
  21. Wow what a fantastic update, loads of new content and all completely free.
  22. Nice. That's a must play IMO and just as good if not better than most Housemarque twin sticks.
  23. I can't speak from experience but everyone I know who got a PSVR (ok three people) said they used it for a couple of weeks and have barely touched it since. Personally I think it's still missing that must-have game.
