  1. True, even better for Switch then! Can't imagine it'll have the legs of PS4, but that's up to Nintendo I guess...
  2. It says something about the base gameplay that so many people actually want to get every single moon. Had a chuckle last night when Mario shouted "Peach!", we might be at double figures for words in his vocabulary now
  3. The PS4 also sold 10 million in nine months
  4. Loved it at the time, will probably buy it again. Bet it'll look good in HD. The 3DS' 240p screen probably didn't do the art justice.
  5. Just beat Bowser. What a fantastic ending to a fantastic game, I genuinely applauded when the credits started to roll. Switched off shortly after, seems like there's a bit more to do...! The final gameplay sequence was so cool, I had a massive grin on my face.
  6. I guess the difference here is with films you can actively avoid watching them. At things like game conferences/awards the disturbing imagery is put on a plate for you, and you're "forced" to watch. It's not a big deal, I just think these AAA action games are starting to get a little too OTT, for shock value. Or maybe more accurately, the methods used to advertise these are going for shock value above most else.
  7. Cool cutscene, but the bit where Norman Reedus' mate stabs himself in the chest repeatedly to try and kill himself, was totally unnecessary and a tad upsetting. Things like that and having a father kill his own child in Detroit + the trailer cutscene in TLOU2 with the girl having her arms hammered in... it's all getting a bit silly. And that's before God of War, Days Gone...
  8. I found that bit pretty uncomfortable tbh. Whooping and hollering over a guy getting shot. I know, video games, robots etc, but still... The fact they used the same demo as three years ago doesn't fill me with confidence about how much is in the game tbh, that said still very excited for it.
  9. That's a shame. Similar sort of thing as the divine beasts, time wise then?
  10. Vague, non spoilery impressions of the dungeon? How long to do the story stuff?
  11. Great show, congrats to Geoff and the organisers. Chuffed for Zelda taking home three awards, including the big one. What a legend Aonuma is. The Champions Ballad segment with the spotlights hitting the screen (lol) and the master sword etc was a great intro to the DLC trailer. Loved the orchestra playing the GOTY nominee tunes, especially the Mario one obv. My big negative though is half the awards were only given a passing mention. The thing is three hours long, present more of them properly! Geoff even knew that was a big criticism of last year's. Oh and what a moron the A Way Out guy is, that was cringey. I don't think he was drunk, he was just as loud mouthed at E3, just not quite as OTT. His catchphrase of "I have so much passion" is already getting old, guy clearly loves the sound of his own voice.
  12. It's a small thing, but I love how quick it is to wake > play. I'll pick up the Pro Controller, press the home button, sit down on my sofa, the tv will have switched on by itself and I'll be in a game, with zero lag or stutter, in seconds.
  13. I guess we'll find out in a few hours. My head's in a different space too but I am absolutely keen to jump back into that world for a few more hours. I wonder if there'll be a new area to explore or they'll just use the same overworld. Probably both I guess.
  14. The Zelda team are very good at listening to fan feedback on their games, and then acting on it. I can easily see the DLC addressing criticism. Things like including a "traditional" dungeon, more narrative etc. And then like you say going even further to improve things in a potential sequel.
  15. Ridiculous price. This game seems to keep finding new ways to disappoint.
  16. Considering deleting this embarrassing shambles of a thread probably wiser...
  17. Can't wait for this, looks great
  18. Personally much prefer the original NES games to the X games. 2 and 3 are well known as being two of the best Mega Man games. Brutal difficulty though, but the precise platforming is part of the fun IMO.
  19. I was kind of hoping for 8-bit graphics too. Oh well, will probably get this anyway.
  20. Good to hear Nintendo RT'd it. I'm really hoping both Legacy Collections come to Switch
