One quid, 20 pence a month for online, cloud backup and 20 NES games with online added to them? Sounds good to me!

Enjoyed Infinity War a lot, but as with the vast majority of MCU films, it's pretty forgettable (apart from the last ten minutes). Fun and entertaining popcorn film though, I just doubt I'll remember anything about it in a few years time. I can't remember a thing about Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and I only watched that a few months ago lol

If Next Level are doing it Nintendo will have had to sign off on a new Punch Out game a couple of years ago, around the same time as they were making ARMS. We'll see. Personally I'd rather they did another Luigi's Mansion
-
Yes I have played Punch-Out and I'm aware they play completely differently. I still don't think they'll want to release another punching game whilst they're still trying to make ARMS a big deal.
-
Doubt they'd be working on a new Punch-Out given ARMS is a thing, can't see Nintendo wanting two games so similar.

Built the house with my nephew, he loved it. I'm really impressed with the build quality and the software, very slick with a lot of personality.

Started and finished Oxenfree today. Cool game, didn't expect it to get quite so weird. The ending was pretty unsatisfying though, as a lot of game endings seem to be these days but otherwise good fun, great voice acting and lovely visuals/audio.

"Little skill involved in Ikaruga", lol. Can't wait to pick this up, and it'll be perfect on Switch, Nicalis confirmed a vertical mode

Shadow of the Tomb Raider ( 14th Sept 2018 )

Really looking forward to this, day 1 for me. Not bothered about the DLC or collector's editions, the base game suits me fine. -
An uproar? From the video game community? Surely not.

Sony apparently "won" that E3 with this, Shenmue 3 and Last Guardian. So maybe they think it was all worth it, regardless of the games being years and years away.

I forgot about Retro's game, hopefully it's their big end of year game alongside Pokemon. They've already said it will focus on Smash. Suspect it'll be Metroid's booth next year though, that game's probably another twelve months away at the very least.

Octopath in July then Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Smash and Pokemon in the next 5 months would be pretty great. Interesting how they say they'll talk about 2019 Switch games "at a later date". Wouldn't be surprised to see a quick tease of Metroid at the end regardless though.

Finished the game last night. I thought it seriously stumbled along towards the end, and the final battle itself was a little anti-climactic. Still a remarkable game, very pleased to have experienced it. Just wish there wasn't so much dragging the story out towards the end. From a production pov it was pretty stunning, though some areas looked better than others. A huge problem I had with the game was... where were all the people??? The entire world was completely deserted, save for the two dwarves and a handful of spirits. Really bizarre. Don't mean to come across as negative, it really was an absolute joy to play and a remarkable achievement overall. Just a few (big) problems I had with it drag it down a little. Can't wait for the sequel though.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp ( Mobile Game. Out Late Nov )
Ronnie replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Wow that AC version of Zelda is great! Also, how very Nintendo to call loot boxes "fortune cookies" -
Hmmm, the last half dozen main story missions are feeling a little bit like filler to be honest, it doesn't quite have the focus and variety as the first half of the game. Everything's becoming a little samey. Still really loving it though, even if combat has gotten way too easy since the story started to advance about half way through. Anyway I think I'm about 2-3 chapters before the end.

I was about to lower the difficulty to story mode this morning after a frustrating late night dying at a couple of specific combat encounters, over and over (and over). Ended up telling myself I'd keep it on normal mode till I started getting frustrated again. Then I upgraded a couple of armors, spent 10k's worth of XP (oops) and the combat has finally clicked. I'm dispatching enemies with relative ease now and I'm even genuinely looking forward to enemy fights, always a good sign in a game. There was a particular side quest that was a ton of fun, actually most of them have been tbf, but the... Really enjoying exploring every corner of the world and getting as much loot as possible. So far this is absolutely justifying all those 10/10's, it's easily the most impressive games I've played from a production values POV if nothing else. If I had a complaint thus far it would be that the world feels a bit empty, where are all the people?? A town or two wouldn't go amiss, but maybe I've yet to run into one. I get that there are story/lore reasons why, but still. Currently...

Can't say I'm enamoured with the combat either. Starting to veer into button mashing for me.

I tend to put extra effort into hunting around for equipment and armour chests. I'm trying not to buy any of those from the shop. Seems a waste of money if you're constantly finding stuff in the wild Are you enjoying it more than you were at the start? Didn't you say you weren't feeling it?
-
The map is horrendous isn't it? I'd almost go as far as saying it's useless. Why so zoomed out? I was also wondering when side missions might be unlocked? I'm at the, shall we say, next area (3-4 hours in) and all I've been able to do is follow the main questline. Stunning game though

Filip was a lot better on the last NVC. Seems to be settling into the role a little more.
