  1. The gaming community really makes me cringe sometimes. They'll literally just complain and crusade about anything. You can guarantee that if they didn't include women or black people in the game, there'd be just as much if not even more uproar.
  2. Exactly my feeling. I could have easily picked up a PSVR but apart from maybe Wipeout and Elite Dangerous there's nothing else that really tempted me in and I'd much rather wait for the sleeker updated model, probably out quite soon.
  3. Not exactly surprising news. Software is key for me, still looking for that system seller.
  4. Yep, looks fantastic. Just read that the new campaign is 10 hours long! Ubisoft seem to have put in a ton of work. Easily worth £15 imo

    Rime

Has anyone played this since the recent patch? Is it still a disaster or did they fix the frame-rate and graphical issues? I could just get it on PS4 I guess, but would prefer on Switch
  6. That's blown my mind. I've only literally found out there's a difference between deodorant and anti-perspirant. I guess I just assumed they were the same thing
  7. I'm pretty sure a 4chan rumour suggested the next Yoshi or Mario game would be subtitled Switcheroo it was one of those "leaks" I didn't mind reading
  8. And it's not just on our end, ruining the magic of E3 etc. The devs of these games can't be too chuffed either, not being able to reveal their game on their own terms, games they've spent years making. All because people on 4chan or the likes of Laura Kate Dale and (in the past) Emily Rogers want a few moments of fame every so often. Emily is a lot better about it now to be fair, only leaking development info, tidbits or hints rather than spoiling the whole game.
  9. I think leaks can sometimes help a game in the long run, Mario + Rabbids springs to mind and maybe Retro's game, we'll see.
  10. Not just Pokemon, I mean everything in the games industry. There are so few genuine surprises anymore and it's a real shame. And we're still a month till E3 so plenty more to come.
  11. Getting a little fed up with everything leaking though
  12. Emily Rogers has said there's more than one Pokemon game for Switch being developed. They're not going to abandon the usual game type for this.
  13. This adventure mode sold me on the game
  14. Pre release tournament: 6-1, 6-2, 6-3 Nice
  15. I don't know, do you thrive off being unpleasant and confrontational for no reason, or saying hyperbolic and childish things like "So...you're paying for NES games that nobody wants"? You mentioned three games that needed online, saying those games don't make "a compelling package". My point is it depends on how much you like those games. Yes it's an obvious thing to say, but it obviously needed saying. But whatever really, we're not going to agree on anything.
  16. Please don't put words into my mouth. What I actually said was You said Mario Kart, Splatoon, Smash aren't compelling enough to sign up. It's all subjective. I think they are, with the extra perks. I didn't mean you specifically don't sign up. I mean generally if some people don't think those games are worth it no ones forcing them to pay. We're going in circles though.
  17. From reports it sounds like Retro were given a license to completely reimagine the Starfox world. It's one of the reasons it took 4 years to develop, allegedly.
  18. Great, nothing's stopping you from playing all of those online for free. If you want to play them, go for it. Nintendo certainly aren't stopping you. That's your opinion. We're also a month away from E3 and who knows what will be announced. If you don't think there are enough games that warrant spending a quid 50 pence a month, then don't sign up. Would I rather online be free? Of course I would from a selfish pov, but I realise these things cost money. No, you're paying for online, future discounts, cloud saves and 20+ NES games ... IF YOU WANT TO. "NES games that nobody wants" - nice of you to speak for everyone. Cloud saves aren't a solution to a problem they created, they're an industry standard that Playstation also charge for. And yes, I know Playstation lets you backup to USB, a feature which could be coming to the next Switch OS for all we know.
  19. Isn't that exactly what they're doing? Just with only NES games for now? Nintendo going against standard industry practise of charging for online for a console or two doesn't mean it should be free forever. It's not a cash grab, online servers, and cloud storage cost money.
  20. Incredibly ambitious, storyline, hub world, Retro? Sign me up. I suspect this'll be a similar case as Mario + Rabbids. When the leaks happened people were ranting about how terrible and pointless it sounded. Then it ended up being one of the best games of the year. I think this leak will do a similar amount of good for Star Fox Grand Prix in the long run.
