I just don't like first person perspective games. I don't think I'm a small minority who think that, half the ResetEra thread was people moaning when it was revealed to be first person.

I haven't been too impressed with some of the first party box art lately (Odyssey, MK8D, Mario Tennis) but wow, that's glorious.

I downloaded the press pack for this from Nintendo, about 900mb worth! Enormous high res renders of every new character portrait, with mind-boggling detail. Even more impressive, those group artworks, one of which is 20,000 pixels across. I've just spent a good 5-10 minutes zoomed in at 100% in awe... Warning, huge files

Delayed to 2019 From MyNintendoNews: The upcoming Yoshi game for Nintendo Switch has a new release window. According to a post on Reddit, the Switch’s eShop has been updated to say that the Yoshi game will now release in 2019. Previously, it was slated for this year. We already know that the game will not be at E3 this year, so it’s very likely that we won’t be hearing much about it. IGN Spain states the following: "Nintendo has confirmed that Yoshi for Nintendo Switch is still in development despite not having appeared on the Nintendo Direct E3 this year . After its broadcast, Bill Trinen confirmed that the game, which debuted at E3 last year, is still "still in development" and that we will have more information later this year. They are currently in good progress, they have decided that they want to make some improvements, so they are going to take a little more time in development and that is why it is not showing up this year," Trinen told IGN. "But I think you can expect news by the end of 2018.") Disappointing news but as usual better to delay and make it better than to rush the release. I thought it looked a little rough last E3 anyway.

Because they need another three months of development time? Not that baffling.

Looking forward to those two dominating in 2019 when they and Last of Us are shown off, yet again. I find the bloodthirsty crowd reacton whenever Nazis are mentioned in a video game a little weird. You'd think WW2 just finished instead of being over 70 years ago.

Yeah just delete/archive the game when you're finished with it, the icon remains afterwards and obviously your save file will still be intact.

Don't think they've changed stance on things. Their website still says "Get a look at Nintendo Switch games for 2018, including Super Smash Bros.™". A month or two ago they clearly stated in a tweet that 2019 games would be talked about another time. I'm expecting Smash, Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, some third party stuff, and maybe one new first party game reveal.

I just want it released so a talented studio like Media Molecule can move on to another game. They could have had two out in all this time. Very worried it won't sell well enough to justify 5+ years of development.

I actually thought they were going to ferry the crowd to four different locations! The crowd reactions seemed quite muted overall, apart from RE2 remake.

What I wouldn't have given for a racing game, or a 2D platformer or fighting game in amongst that show. What a contrast to the huge variety shown at Ubisoft
