  1. I reckon, what, another 10-15 years before devs/publishers have the balls to show two blokes kissing like that in a AAA game?
  2. Those were some mighty impressive leaves though, to be fair
  3. Nintendo should have lowered expectations when they said they're only showing 2018 games and that 2019 ones would be shown at a later date. Not sure how much more clear the situation can be.
  4. From the man who says they're going to crash into next gen, having just acquired/created 5 new studios? Or that gaming itself wasn't a priority for their showing, after announcing 50 games and talking about nothing else but games?
  5. Fun little pick up and play game that'll fit very nicely on Switch. Played Fusion on PS4 and enjoyed it a lot.
  6. Hearing the famous Corneria radio chatter in the middle of that trailer was a big WTF moment ! Definitely peaked my interest and I think the Fox inclusion has pretty much guaranteed this'll sell best on Switch.
  7. Ubisoft are another who've really turned the ship around, and become a much loved company in the last few years. Thinking about it some more, their showing last year was outstanding, this one was just very good given the lack of new reveals bar AC Odyssey and Trials.
  8. "50 New Games. 18 Exclusive Titles. 15 World Premieres" Their entire conference was about games, literally nothing else in it. They even talked about game streaming in the future (not the first publisher to do so), not to mention teasing their next generation games console. They made some big mistakes at the start of the generation but Phil Spencer coming on board has absolutely steadied the ship. Backwards compatibility is a big thing for Xbox fans and Game Pass seems a pretty great deal. At a time when I personally couldn't care less about my PS+ expiring. I know it's fashionable to hate on things in gaming, eg. Microsoft, but I think credit where credit's due. Reading up on E3, most seem to agree they had a great showing for the position they're in. A minor nitpick, they didn't show PS4 3rd party games, they showed 3rd party games. I'm also not sure how you can say their acquisitions weren't big. The proof will be in the pudding, the point is it's a step in the right direction.
  9. I guess there wasn't much new, but the quality was certainly up there. All the games looked great. Except for Starlink lol (even with Fox!)
  10. Outstanding conference. I think Ubisoft are going to have the best conference for the second year running, IMO. I love their work, they tow the line perfectly between games as service, multiplayer games and single player games. Above all, tons of variety, unlike a lot of other publishers. Just Dance, Beyond Good and Evil, Rainbow Six, Trials, Division, Mario + Rabbids, Skull and Bones, Transferance, Star Link, For Honour, The Crew 2, Assassin's Creed. Huge variety, all totally different games, something for everyone. Great to see them buddy with up with Nintendo so much too, even more so this gen. Can't help but love Yves too
  11. Backwards compatibility? Game Pass? Xbox has done a great job correcting their mistakes at the start of the gen.
  12. Sony made their bed a couple of E3s ago when they revealed their entire remaining AAA line up years in advance. Last E3 it was very noticeable they were struggling to find new content for their trailerfest so this year's more low key approach is no surprise. Hopefully there'll be a couple of smaller new game announcements. Maybe a Horizon 2 tease for PS5, years away obv.
  13. Especially when said competitor is so anti-consumer about allowing cross-play between platforms like Microsoft and Nintendo do.
  14. Their studio acquisitions mean the brand new exclusives are 2-3 years off but it's a big step in the right direction. I still don't see it as misleading that they didn't put Playstation logos at the end of those multiplatform trailers. You'd never see an Xbox logo at Playstation.
  15. Why would they announce what platforms the games were coming to? It was a Microsoft conference, they're not about to promote Playstation. Halo, Gears, Forza, Crackdown, Cuphead, Metro, Ori, We Happy Few... those aren't bad exclusives coming
  16. They finally reveal Starfield and that's all we get?! Argh!! Still, great show but it really didn't need to be two hours long, could have easily fit into one. Oh and always a big fan of Bethesda's short Reveal > Release windows, those seem very popular and rightly so, wish more publishers did that.
  17. I found it funny for a couple of minutes, then got bored and stopped watching shortly after.
  18. Bethesda are pretty much the only conference publishers who could get away with this
  19. Nice to see a lot of games that are 12 months or less away, unlike the Playstation conference template of showing games 2, 3, 4, a dozen years away.
  20. More gutted no gameplay shown for Cyberpunk, but that's pretty much every big reveal trailer ever these days
  21. That was an excellent show to be fair, well done Microsoft. Their studio buys will be more for the next Xbox but a good sign for them
