As much as I love jumping on the Utd buying success bandwagon (and they did). You only have to point what Fergy did at Aberdeen with a squad full of Scots. What he achieved there was unheard off.

There is the internet and then there's Wikipedia. I'm a 'Pedia whore. Spend so much time on there, it's my second home.

I don't think you can assume that someone else would just step up if Bale wasn't there, I mean how many games have you won this year where Bale hasn't played or scored in.

I do tip my hairdresser

Came in after an hour's run looking like a beetroot. To say I misjudged the heat would be an understatement.

I'm aware of things work in this country. I tip when I receive good service, a small token of my gratitude. It has nothing do with what they earn an hour. In all my years of going to restaurants, i've never heard that as a reason for tipping. Congratulations, i've aways found it the other way around when it comes to chip and pin and paying for small priced items.
-
The restaurant part is pretty obvious. If you don't tip with non-plastic currency, the tip won't go to your waiter/waitress. The other one is just something that irritates me personally. Waiting for someone to put in their pin and faf about with their card for a packet of chewing gum. Also, I don't know about other parts of the country but up here you can't get on a bus with anything other than coins.
-
No. People paying for ridiculously small priced items with plastic are stupid. People who tip in restaurants with plastic as they're paying the bill are stupid.

I'm the opposite in regards to the wallet, always back pocket. I tend to walk with my hands in my pockets and there isn't much spare room in them with a wallet in there. It also feel weird carrying it in a front pocket. Personally I carry phone, keys, wallet and some change. I've no time for dudes who carry coins in their wallet, pocket full of change always.

I don't exactly know many Arsenal fans who've talked about the previous few years positively. It's not exactly news to us that we aren't where we want to be.

Curious to know whether people track what they do at each workout? I use an app called Evernote, really handy for keeping track of how what exercises i've done, how many sets/reps i've done and with what weight. I find it also helps in those moments when you're not feeling like the gym at all, a quick glance at my logs and i'm fired up to go. I really don't get people who go to the gym without an actual plan of what they're going to do and what they're looking to achieve.

Getting into No Ordinary Family. Why do always start liking shows that have already been canned.
-
Sacking 100 managers in 3 months? Spending more money than the current deficit? Trying to turn Battersea Power Station into a stadium? Both teams I follow have been in the same European Final not a million years ago, so it can't be that.

I'm not ignorant so I don't force my beliefs down people's throats like the sort @Iun mentions above but for me personally, don't know where i'd be without my Family. Nothing overly emo or life changing has happened to me, just they've always been there to help when I've needed it. Sure they've got their faults like everyone but I always try to make sure, especially as i've got older, never to take that for granted. I know it's not the same for everyone, sorry to hear about your situation @jayseven. Just my two cents.

Congratulations for buying the Europa League.

Ahem. Celtic 2-1 Barcelona. It can be done.

In fairness to myself, I wasn't to know Vermaelen would forget how to play football Hopefully when he recovers his past form, i'd still take him ahead of Vertonghen.
-
Sagna seems to be a lability nowadays. I'm constantly frustrated by his inability to try and go past people, he never takes on a man and tries to get to the byline, he always turns back. His crossing also wank. It's always refreshing to see Jenkinson play because he always aims for the byline and his crossing is half decent.

One of the things I did years ago when rehabbing my knee was using an ankle weight on the leg whilst replicating the kicking motion. Felt a little strange at first but I did notice the difference when going back to kicking normally.
-
Another one that pisses me off is people who say they 'can't run' because their knees can't take it. I've no doubt some people have serious conditions that prevent them from said activity, the vast majority say even though they've no idea how good running is for your bones. As someone who has suffered a pretty horrific knee injury a few years back, I always press people on why they say it and almost all the time they just guess that their knees can't take it.

My number one thought aways when doing Squats is to make sure my arse is sticking out. Keeps my alignment in good shape and I always seem to be able to drive up well when doing it. They're definitely one of my favourite exercises.
-
Hit some new highs with Squats and Deadlift yesterday, pretty pleased with that. Alas, the high I felt with that was quickly brought down when trying to do any curls, wrist was barely capable of moving my water

Pretty much sums up being an Arsenal fan in recent years. The Harry Potter tour is one way to rape your phone/camera battery in less than two hours.

Cliched to fuck but if you want to succeed in the long term, it's a lifestyle change you need to make, not a 'diet'. I don't doub't that weightwatchers and such work some people but for me, as soon as you started counting all those calories, you're getting a little obsessive. It's obviously prudent to have some sort of idea of what you're putting into your body but not at the cost of measuring every little thing. That said, it's also about what works for you. Something that might work great for someone else isn't necessarily going to work for you. You need to find something works with who you are and stick to it. Whether that's being freakishly obsessed with it or being more laid back. It's all about the long term goal at the end of the day.

Managed to some weights yesterday. Anything that involved not moving my wrist was absolutely fine, did some heavy chest work but when it came to Bicep Curls or Wrist curls it was pretty pathetic, was just too painful to move any sort of weight. Still, please I got some work done.
