  1. Just looking at the trailer it seems like there are a whole load of reused assets, with the one twist that the perspective has changed to side on. Maybe I'm being harsh, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but - a little bit of a lazy effort?
  2. As a whole how does the game compare to Dark Souls? It looked like it lacks some of the replay-ability.
  3. Couple of us are playing Rocket League at 8pm GMT if anyone wants to join.
  4. Yeah, I'm up for anything
  5. A nice story for you guys. My wife works with Chinese suppliers, and one of them sent her a box of facemasks out of the blue, accompanied by a note asking her to take care and that she hopes everything goes ok. Thought that was really sweet.
  6. Thank you, putting them on the list.
  7. Lovely stuff, thank you Hero. Open invitation if you ever want to join us for a show.
  8. We're looking for any Indies with online multiplayer for Smashing Cast - can anyone recommend any?
  9. Right well if we can make it during the football season that gives me a double incentive to come over
  10. I'm up for it, as long as it's not too far from an airport.
  11. Lovely stuff, I'm gagging for some Burnout style driving. Keep us updated.
  12. Grand, I will make arrangements when I'm back from my holiday
  13. @Dcubed How about recording an episode of Smashing Cast, where we can play your levels and try to beat them/talk through them.
  14. Saw Little Women last night. 4/5, really charming movie, superb cast, maybe runs 20 minutes longer than it had to. If you haven't read the book then you won't have a better opportunity to get familiar with this literary classic.
  15. I had the good fortune of having a friend lend me this, so I've been into it hard for almost 2 weeks now. And yeah, I love it. It's far from perfect, and there's a lot that annoys me. I also think it shows signs of not having as many resources as a Konami backed project. But Kojima really succeeds at creating a unique, singular experience. The feeling of being half way to a destination, equipment failing, rain falling, threats looming, and having to stop and way up your options, fits so well against the backdrop of his desolate, lonely world. Part-platformer, part RPG (as in a game where you play a role) - does that register with anyone else?
  16. Check out Snowpiecer, really cool little movie. Glad you liked Parasite. Been a while since I saw it first and I still think it's the best movie I've seen in a long, long time. Will probably go again before long.
  17. That's a fair point, but I imagine they will come up with a mechanism for that. They won't want to negatively effect any potential Switch Plus.
  18. Sorry for the double post. He says something in there that I fundamentally disagree with - "you cant dictate how we have fun with your game." Well yes they can, it's their game. I mean you can't go full GTA and massacre your fellow villagers - but what if you want to? Surely you have the same objection - I want to enjoy it how I want, give me a gun. Sharing a village is a mechanism of the game that Nintendo want to create. You may not like it, but to discredit it simply because it removes agency from the player is to discredit any game that isn't a sandbox.
  19. I'm totally sympathetic to the choice arguement, I am. Would it to be fair to characterise our difference of opinion to how saves are used in a game? I still think how a game is saved is part of game design. Resident Evil would not be the same with the choice to save whenever. Saving has become more continuos and forgivable over time, but I still think it is a valid option for game design, and one of those options may include the amount of saves you can make. Maybe that's a bit old school though.
  20. Nintendo don't make it easy do they? But that's great news, it's just made this a must buy for me. Thanks for the info.
  21. What's this? So I can buy a copy for myself, and my brother can play in my town for free without buying a copy? Explain please.
  22. But for a game that is as dependent on putting in hours as Animal Crossing, is it the worst thing in the world that progress is a joint pursuit? It's kind of the point as well right, that your town is not just about you as an individual, but a community? I just ain't fussed by this whole single save debate - it's clearly a game design choice, and any frustrations you occur (such as a wife who chops down all the trees), are surely part of the challenge of living in a community.
  23. Sound advice
  24. Looking forward to this, my first AC since the original. I'm hoping I can get the wife into it, but probably won't though.
  25. Alright, my first clips video. Any tips welcome: ...oh smash
