Its strange to see Ireland doing so well... I didnt realise England got such a high score together cos at the beginning Ireland seemed to be holding their own. 266 could just be too much.

Virtual Console - All you need to know
darksnowman replied to Tellyn's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Great to see Goemon on it! The N64 one is a great old game, and so was what I played of this SNES one back in the day. Well worth the download chaps, so get onto the Wii channel and add it to your collection! And, by the way, what do you think the likelyhood of the Breath of Fire games coming to the Virtual Console? (And soonish?!) -
You can never be too careful with these things, Teppo. Interestingly then we're getting this Olympics game and (almost certainly) NiGHTS... now if only that Mushroom Kingdom Hearts was a real game...

So if this is real then it should be pretty class. They should throw as many Sonic characters in it as possible, sure we see enough of Mario and the gang in the Mario Party's and Sports games. This should be a nice change. Team Nintendo Vs Team Sonic. Grrr! (And Sonic and Co should now be in the new Mario Footy game.)

Anolis, Skies of Arcadia is the game you've been waiting for. Get stuck into it instead of procrastinating!

Yeah, Belgiums a good call lol. Realistically though, anywhere in the UK would do nicely. It all comes down to money however and what the post University funds look like. A weekend at Portrush anyone? Even, anyone wanna visit me next week or the week after? Ive a fortnight off. The weathers pickin up here like so dont be put off.

Argh Grunchie you got me. I kept thinking Extreme Ways for some reason, but I couldnt get the lyrics to fit into it in my head, lol. Whats even more sickening is that Porcelain is in my last.fm thingy on the left.

Thats by Moby isnt it?! The titles on the tip of my tongue, tip of my tongue...

Thats a pretty cool site Mr Bogus, I'm gonna listen to a heap of the music on it now.

Yeah you should get back to it bucko, I've only opened a few of them bonuses so far. The artwork is well cool. I watched most (if not all!) of the videos on the web already - they're so funny! Did anyone see the Valentines day one? Oh, and I stumbled across a Far Cry one a while ago. Do a quick google/ youtube and see what you can find!

Square Enix looking to bring an online title to Wii
darksnowman replied to spirited away's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I hadnt realised this was posted before... until you chaps started mentioning Crystal Chronicles. I hope they do come to an arrangement over the friend code issue for this. But if not, we can share our friend codes via the boards here and play together anyway! It would be great if theres something else in the pipeline too. -
Ok ok A Link to the Past it is. Ive never played that Castlevania though so it might actually be better.

I hope you guys that bought them get refunded... and I'm sure you will. This reminded me that I didnt link up my VIP account to the Shop Channel, so I did that there now. Now lets get something to spend these Star Points on!

Great game, about time you got it! I think the shooter-type levels and the music ones are two of the highlights of the game. Though when I think about it... so many other mini games are great too - like the choir one! Ive had problems with two player... like how do you add someone?! Ive just ended up doing time-about play whenever Ive tried any two player.

This thread rightly took off last night didnt it! Ive no idea what the answer to the latest question, but be sure that if I'm online when theres an easier one I'll be straight in. (I could never think of a decent question though...)

Its tough to say what I am, it depends on the game and how much time Im willing to give it. I reckon though that unlockables are an important aspect of games, if there was absolutely no reason to go back and play something then we'd be complaining too. I've completed the likes of the DKC games, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64 and Goldeneye in their totality to name a few examples. But I dont play and play my other games until they are 100% finished with every last thing done. Once again heres my take on Zelda: like others here, I'll get what I come across with Poes and Heartpieces (though with Twilight Princess theres some help with getting heartpieces!) and I'll try to do any other sidequests I can. I dont "power" through the games, but I dont go all out to do everything. You know? RPGs are good for describing it - on the main site someone said that there is next to no guidance in them on how to do much else than whats required. This is really annoying because you basically have to fluke your way onto the best items/ sidequests that yield such items and weapons. How come characters cant let you know what you can and cant do so you can pick and choose? Generally, I like to complete games... but rarely does a game motivate me to go back and get everything anymore. I think its a combination of the game and what stage of your life it is. With the Snes and N64 it seemed like I had endless evenings and weekends to game, now its more like I have to almost plan ahead and free up time for it!

Yar we had our elections over here the other week. I made the day trip home from University so I could vote. Its a case of making the effort to voice my opinion on how the country should and shouldnt be run. Heck I numbered more than the required four (I did 1-7) just so there could be no mistake about who I DONT want voted in. Having said all that, I dont follow politics extremely closely, and even less do I follow England, Scotland and Wales... so sorry about that guys. Through University though I study French Politics and so I know a bit more about that than I would otherwise. One last thing, some dolls I know think its important not to waste their vote because women went through so much in the past to secure it for them.

The Emperor: "You have braved the bowels of Hell to reach me. But the hand of man, which deals justice and forsaken love, can never hope to defeat the lord master of Hell!" Fighting talk from the big chief. Lets do this. Aah, victory. I'm yet to get the best from the greatest spells in that game (Ultima, Flare and Holy) but even so, with good use of other spells and Guy being alot more effective/ strong than I ever expected with his dual axes (not to mention good use of Elixers by me!) and we were victorious. Cant you hear the credits rolling? Sends a shiver up your spine doesnt it.

Great thread! I'm gonna try out both of Ine's creations and give Katies sisters a blast too. I'll see if I can get any snaps so as you can see what kinda mess I make of the whole caper! See tonight, I had these very nice biscuits: McVities Digestive FlapJack things. The first bite was dodgy... but after that they were preeeetty nice.

The Godfather: Blackhand Edition review
darksnowman replied to david.dakota's topic in Nintendo Gaming
What sort of reviews did Ubisofts Godfather game get? Anyway, I came in this thread purely out of curiosity and expecting this to have got 5.0 at the most. But 8.0!? Fantastic, not that I'll be buying it like but you know what I mean... (Wii needs this support, these types of games and developers to get the best use possible from the Wiimote if the Wii is to survive etc etc etc etc). Seeing as the game seems to be pretty darned decent, I hope it gets the sales it deserves... so go buy it you GTA lovers! -
How goes it Hero? I'm looking forward to FFIII being released over here, it should be a good one! In preparation I've been replaying FFII (a great wee game) and once again I've missed the opportunity to get the Blood Sword - Excalibur will have to do the trick... well as long as I remember to get it, haha. I skimmed a few FAQs on it and there doesnt seem to be a big lot I've been missing out on (except that Blood Sword that apparently makes the final battle a piece o' cake). I'm definitely looking forward to playing the third in the series, its been a long time in coming, but its almost here!

Tales of Symphonia Official Thread
darksnowman replied to Stocka's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Shes effective is she? Cos for a bit of variety from the last time I played the game I sidelined her from my fighting four. You mean to say that if she had been there that I woulda defeated that guy five or ten minutes sooner? Nooooo! (Thanks for the tip though, she'll be in fighting against him next time, brother!) (And by the way Twilight, I never realised before that you were into Tales of Symphonia - nice taste bro! : peace: ) -
Tales of Symphonia Official Thread
darksnowman replied to Stocka's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Know what? On my way through the Ossa Trail, I thought I would give that big beast a try out down in the mines. And you know what? I threw everything I had at him, I used up all my Gels and all my Revives and even used the Divider item thingy. ...and well, you wanna know what?? After a long long fight using all them items up... and ending with only Kratos alive with barely any health left (he was heavily in the red...) I was victorious!! VICTORIOUS!! So now I have the Yata Mirror for whatever good it'll do me and the promise that the big tart of a sword weilding skeleton will meet me again later. All aboard for Palmacosta!
