@liger05 Yep, like HoT put it, what else can you do? Whine on the internet, repeat the same arguments over and over again? Been there, done that, nothing changed, and it seems little is gonna change in the future either. Nintendo simply don't have the capacity to crank out games all the time, just reference the older consoles. And btw, I'm already voting with my wallet. I've only bought MH3U and AC3 so far, and a few 0,99€ VC games; that's all. In this poor economic situation, other consoles and especially steam are offering me much better deals with innovation yet also cheap prices. Also, you can get a 360 for a 100€ at a gamestop, and the library is bursting with AAA titles with 10-20€ prices. So I really don't see any other option than just accepting the reality and adapting to it...

I just started wondering...maybe this is because Nintendo feel the pressure to make more games? Since the 3rd party support simply isn't there anymore, all the weight on filling the Wii U catalogue is on Nintendo now. Seems like they are in a panic mode of sorts where they just wanna get something out there, like Mario / Kirby / Yoshi on both platforms etc. Same with Nes Remix, just rehashing old games must be a tad quicker to make than just making a brand new game. Just add the problems of the HD and the only route is making safe, simpler games. Too bad it's taking a toll on the creative side, but they really don't have the luxury of 3rd party support anymore...

Good points. I think Nintendo is doing what they can to provide as many games as they possibly can, even too many if you look at number of Mario games etc. They're at their limit already, which is resulting in severe franchise fatigue as Ashley put it in the other topic. The real problem is the lack of 3rd party games; without those, Nintendo's own, normal output simply isn't enough to offer a full console experience, just the occasional gems and way too much platforming. Like I said, it's a support / secondary console, so just deal with it and venture into other platforms to fill the gaps.

Well, they have made me go away from this forum as well. Same fights and arguments being repeated ad nauseam, it just feels like a waste of everyone's time really. Most of the really interesting Wii U games are still to be released, so what is there to talk about? Yes, there are some kool 3rd party games too, but the problem is that for the same money or even less I could buy a 360 version with MORE features, DLC etc. The situation with the Wii U is what it is and not changing, so might as well just accept it and move on... As for gaming elsewhere, the last fall I mostly bought used 360 games, some old PC ones and a ton of Steam sale games. Cheap prices, good value, no contest. I also bought quite a few 3DS virtual console games last summer, as the selection is quite good. With the Wii U, not so much, so no sales. Tl;dr: steam is kicking everyone's ass.

Well, it's a nice community, although a tad anglocentric (you bastards). For the most part, discussion is friendly and insightful, people actually respect each other etc. Plus, it's nice to meet people from all over Europe and even some other heathen countries. Thus too bad Nintendo's situation is slowly but surely turning everyone insane here, me included. Still waiting for actual rival factions to form, with the culmination of "n-europe vs. europe of n"... #itsgonnahappen #justamatteroftime

Mario Kart 8 looks good. The anti-gravity addition seems to add more variety to the tracks as well, something that surely everyone can appreciate. X and Bayonetta 2 looked awesome. These are the kind of games I bought the system for (and also Monster Hunter). But...no release date? Now, this wouldn't really matter if the Wii U schedule was filled with other games, but it's not...So, lots of waiting and gaming on other systems then, I guess...A few killer titles alone do not a system make. #sorrynintendo GBA emulation is kool I guess, but why on the Wii U? Easier to capture footage though, so I'm not complaining... Bottom line: the Wii U is and keeps on being a support console, i.e. something that you'd get in addition to your main gaming device. So maybe, just maybe a price cut should be in order at some point...

@Rummy I threw the vilethorn back at you, don't have it. And yes, you should def get a better armour! For getting stuff from other worlds...I'm not against that. For example the Anklet of Wind would be a lot easier to get in a non-hardmode jungle, which we don't have anymore. Same with the horseshoes, our world doesn't have any more of those! I tried some of the bosses last night. Did 4 or 5 Walls, easy as hell. Everyone can have an pwnhammer now, put them in the boxes. Then summoned one hardmode boss, and after that another one spawned spontaneously! They sure could take a beating... I don't know how many super chests there are in the dungeon still, at least one ice and one jungle, maybe one hallow too. You might wanna find a key to either one, as they each have some kind of super weapon in there, like the one I found in the corruption chest. Too bad the dungeon is fucking crazy now, hard to explore without proper gear... Also, seems the hardmode jungle has a dungeon and a few bosses there too now! It's endgame content tho, so gonna take a while still...

Rocket boots and a ranged weapon yes, plus a decent armour. The semi-ranged melee ones are ok too. Ironskin potion is handy, and a honey pool for faster health regen would be too (still in progress though). If someone wants a hell gun / bow, won't take long to mine and craft. Box has staffs too, and a meteor armour + space gun combo is also possible; fast firing with no mana used (dmg is 21 tho). As for strategy, kill the little bastards first, then aim for the big eyes. The little ones are weaker to melee it seems, so I'll try tanking them first, then switch to ranged for the eyes. I have diamond staff for rapid fire magic, then will switch to hellbow / use the flail when mana dries up. I'm game whenever you lot are.

@Happenstance @Rummy @nightwolf Yes, Wall of Flesh is ready to be tackled. I extended and simplified the runway on both ends, it's long as hell now. You guys still need some equipment? Nightwolf you in too? It would be nice to get the group going and kick the game into hard mode, I'm running out of shit to do!

Well...it's pretty sad he had to put up his own game and studio, I guess Capcom just wasn't interested in doing anything (innovative) with Mega Man. Still, good to see people are backing the game up. Looks pretty good!

Edit: Some bitchface hidden copypaste code mistake. Anyway, looking forward to tonight's Raw. SD was pretty good too, they're actually trying to improve it and make it on par with Raw. Whatever it is they're doing, it's working. Watched all of the last two Raws and the last SD too, usually never do that. So many interesting storylines going on in there now... What comes to TNA (someone please change the damn thread title, WWE is not the only wrestling company in the world!), it's been pretty boring really. Hogan and Sting, AJ changing his gimmick all the time, guys getting fired left and right...just no. Even Taryn Terrell is pregnant now, just after she had a few awesome matches with Gail Kim. Seriously, just bring Jeff Jarret back and give Hogan the boot or at least make him be permanently backstage. So much great talent, and such a messy product...
