Ha, you running a plantation there or what? Anyway, tried the project trick tonight...trapped a frog lady into a corner, went to the ocean to chill and when I came back...boom, police station 4 u! Well yeah, I had to try it a few times, but it did work in the end, cool!
-
I just checked the list again...and there are so damn many things you can build! Oh dear...Also, I'm running out of space, not sure how many big projects I could even fit in mah town anymore!
-
Yeah, just check that it records your voice at the same time too. I remember having to switch on the "listen to this sound device" option when you record yourself and other people at the same time. It does result in hearing your own voice echo during the session, but I guess that can't be helped, plus it won't be recorded.

Original stuff...still need to figure out a better guitar tone to work with the other instruments.
-
Well, if you would livestream the hangout through youtube, it would be automatically recorded. Also, I don't know about Apple products, but with Windows you can record all system sound via enabling the "stereo mix" recording option from the sound controls.

So that's it! Thanks a bunch, I knew the villagers would ping you but I had no idea it was tied to their personalities as well. I might just get back to this game at some point, who knows...

@Jimbob Yeah I didn't get the Police Station either. I tried completing as many projects as I could to get a perfect town, but after realising some of them actually hurt that (like the pipes), I just couldn't be arsed to build more and more benches etc. I wonder what the mechanic for getting new projects is, anyone know? All I can think of is building more "desirable" projects to your town...I did try building everything possible, although I think I'm still missing a few like the photo cutout etc.

@Serebii Ah sorry, you're right, there's no save feature for GBA games, just checked. I did wonder at some point what the deal was, since all the other retro games have it... But yeah M rock's got a point, the GBA games tend to have good save systems anyway, so it's not like it's really needed for them anyway...
-
Well does the locking-out really matter when you can still use save states with the games? That's precisely the thing that makes even the older games more fun to play, so what more do you need really? Edit: Nevermind, there isn't a GBA save feature...
-
@RedShell Yeah, it's really basic, sort of easy listening style blips and blops. Oh dear... Same with the whole game, really. It looks quite uninspired, as it has the exact same formula, environments, enemies etc...

Two Technos games, yeah that's a pretty good week alright! Grew up with Double Dragon, Nintendo World Cup and River City Ransom, gotta love the face-smashing but also the awesome music...

Germany is so doomed that Nintendo is having another pseudo-holiday and that's why the PR sucks which is late. #yourewelcome

Good grief...well, at least the story's getting posted all over the internet, hopefully forces him to pay everything back. -
#09 - N-Europe: Let's Talk Games (Super Mario Land: 6 Golden Coins)
Ville replied to Fused King's topic in Nintendo Gaming
@drahkon Yeah I played it on the 3DS, the emulator save feature definitely helped me. Still, it didn't feel like a super hard game or anything, just a short ride of awesomeness. @Fused King Yep, more variation please. This game shows how it's done and the result is great. Screw Bowser and his ugly mug, CHANGE IT UP NINTENDOOOOOOO! -

I actually played through this last summer. My backloggery notes read: "A bit easy, but still a great game. Very refreshing theming for a Mario game, like going inside a whale, into space etc. Would be 5 stars if it were a bit longer. Great music, looks nice and plays like a Mario game should. The bunny hat works well, and the sub-areas are refreshingly different from your typical Mario game. The modern games (NSMB) could surely learn a lesson or two from this title. Pure quality and a joy to play." Bottom line: liked it very much, would recommend! 4/5 -
Seems really cool...still gonna wait for a price drop, though.

Yep, Asylum and City were so good that I'm actually happy Rocksteady is doing one more Batman game. My only problem is that it isn't coming out on any console I have, goddamnit!

Ok bitches fellows, here's my suggestion for the podcast intro theme: Yay or nay?
-
Nah, only 49 bells, sorry.

@Serebii Haha, thanks man. I've always liked the series, but the games just weren't doing it for me anymore. However, a totally different story with this gen! The trade functions are just damn good. I now have the whole starter team thanks to wonder trade and the GTS, just like when I played gens I & II with my brother. Now that's online done right! #amazing

I just got Pokemon Y today, and I have to say that I'm pretty damn impressed. The online and trading aspect is really well integrated, and everything else is so much better too. This is like the total opposite of Nintendo's Wii U online shenanigans, wth? Well I'm not complaining, finally a Pokemon game worth playing! I usually go with fire starters, but this time I felt like picking Chespin since the Naught is so damn badass. I already managed to get a Froakie through random trades, only missing Fennekin now! If someone has a spare, I'll gladly take one.

#04 - N-Europe: Let's Talk Games (Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire)
Ville replied to Fused King's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Nope, like I said it's kind of hard to get exciting about it since the newer gens are out there already. The challenge stuff in Emerald does seem cool, but I just beat Elite 4 and that was that... -

Ruby and Sapphire were released on July 25th 2003, which was just bad timing overall. I was trying to get into university, me and my brother weren't living in the same room or even house anymore etc. RB and GS were awesome because we both had a copy and could trade with each other. With RS, however, the possibility wasn't there anymore plus the games felt like mishmashes of old and new. Also, they were on the GBA and I didn't buy that until the Wind Waker came along, so the end result was skipping Gen III altogether. Well, I did end up buying Emerald some years ago, and finished it just now. I tried playing it properly at some point, but of course it's gonna feel rather hollow now when the newer versions are out already. This time I just soloed most of the game with Blaziken and took Rayquaza with me to the Elite 4, worked pretty well. The music in the game is awesome, just like in Gen IV, otherwise it was ok. Like people have been arguing, the trading / collecting mechanic is the soul of the games in my opinion. Catching them all in RB and GS was pretty darn fun, so when the option wasn't there anymore, I ended up skipping RS and the later gens as well. I did buy Pokemon Y now though, in the hopes of the GTS and Poke Bank bringing the trade aspect back...we'll see what happens.
