I'd say this game puts Zeldas to shame on every level. It's damn impressive and the mere scale and beauty of the world made my jaw drop on multiple occasions. Best single player game on the Wii, hands down.

I don't have a problem with the Pokemon characters, they're a huge part of Nintendo and since they're fighters anyway, they suit Smash Bros perfectly. You have lots of Mario and Zelda people there too, so why not Pokemon? Obviously they wanna market the newest games too, so a new Pokemon from X&Y makes total sense. However, if they have mon like Jigglypuff in there, please rebalance. Underpowered characters are really lame, so no Pichus either please... Separating characters: very cool. I always felt like the switch hassling only made those characters weaker, so now everyone can pick exactly the form they like and polish that.

Yeah, it seems they had 3 stages in Brawl without a playable character: Animal Crossing, Pictochat and the Elektroplankton stage. A Pilotwings character seems quite unlikely too since the rocket pack is a separate item. The Balloon Fighter though? He might actually fit in there...although with what kind of attacks? All he does in the game is float in the air!

Ok guys, I watched the trailer again and here's what I found. First: Tits in Smash Bros? Cool! Ok ok, to the point. Let's look at the icons of the items: Well well, whaddaya know...the Pilotwings items and stage have their own icon, but games like Steel Diver only have the neutral Smash Bros icon. Same with the beam sword, bumper etc. Could this maybe be a sign that there's gonna be a Pilotwings fighter of some sort in the game? Same thing with the levels: Nintendogs: You have the dog as an assist trophy already, so it doesn't seem too likely...I mean what else can they even take from Nintendogs? A cat? Streetpass: Nah, not feeling it, but who knows...the Streetpass models are very basic, so a character would feel quite out of place. It could be the bunny for example, or the Mii. Well that would actually make sense... Balloon Fight: Yes, I can totally see the balloon guy as a playable character. And yes, if you look at the assist trophy icons, some of them have a custom icon (Knuckle Joe from Kirby) whereas some do not (Sin and Punishment). Seems to go solely on the basis of whether that game series is represented by a playable character or not. Pretty interesting...

But why can't you have custom moves in online fights with random people? Kind of defeats the whole point of having them...

The Pokemon is probably Hey You Pikachu, you can only control him with voice controls... (and that's conveniently why there's no voice chat here either, ha!)

I think we need characters like: -Link's cousin Plink -CD-i version of Zelda -New Super Mario -Tom Nook's rotten soul (boss) -A character that looks an awful lot like Solid Snake but has a pink Birdo suit on and shoots vibrating question mark missiles -Fruit-fondler Iwata, always at half-health -Reggienator, who literally breathes online mode and voice chat icons at you

Could be great, could be awful tonight. PLEASE UNDERSTAND.
