  1. I voted! And WELCOME! I hope you have a super time here!
  2. thx guyz ur da bst mtes evar x (But my god Ashley, no one needs to remember me as that terrible 13 year old :p)
  3. I've never played a Pilotwings apart from the 3DS version (that I loved). Is this one worth it? I'd buy it if it was the 64 version, but I'm always cautious buying SNES games that use Mode 7 (or something to that effect) as I just don't think they stand the test of time very well. Also, does anyone know when Spin the bottle comes out? This is a great interview:
  4. Aah, suddenly that makes more sense. I played 5 player Islands and pictionary thing yesterday and both were great fun! Especially the tall island that is easy to tip over :p Considering how great those two are, its a shame there's not more to the game! I wish it was given a bit more time and have the multiplayer modes its known for. One thing that I'm not too sure about is how I'm gonna get all the chicken eggs. I've pretty much finished the game other than a few GAMER SCORE high-scores but have more than half the chicken eggs left!
  5. Thanks, pud :D I sure will!

  6. Does this work with the Wiimotes? Mine kept disconnecting every time we went to play it. Or do the other players literally just have to call you out and claim the game is over? Anyway, islands is pretty fun and the drawing one is awesome. Compared to the fantastic multiplayer in the Wii and Gamecube versions though, this is just so low on content and replayability.
  7. I've been on holiday from work this week and it has been a great much needed escape, the people there can really get me down at times. Not to mention they're having a big 're-launch' so everyone will be even more over the top and melodramatic than usual. So I've pretty much spent the week meeting up with friends I haven't seen in ages and playing Animal Crossing! :p Which has been pretty great actually, as I've barely seen anyone for the last few months, though that's my own fault! Tonight shall be another good one, with wine, Wii U and 4 totally awesome people!
  8. That Pug film sounds amazing, will definitely have to give it a look :p Also, I went to see This is the End yesterday and LOVED it. I usually think those kinds of films don't work (I hated Shaun of the dead) but this was really something. I also totally agree with Murr's first spoiler, i've never laughed at a film so much in ages. The part near the beginning with the gun was also hilarious. Only lame part was getting ID'd to see it. I assumed it was an 18 so didn't think too much of it but nah, it's rated 15. With that in mind, I'm off to the hairdressers today for a much needed trim :p
  9. I read this earlier today, I wish it was released now, it would make a great party game.
  10. You should invite him over to your place for wine and Adventure Time. Then ask him if he needs a lift anywhere, as you and Aaron are great drivers...
  11. I haven't really been that into gaming the last year or so, but this last month I feel about 15 again! It's mainly due to Animal Crossing, which is just amazing. But a new Wario and a catch up on 3DS games (like Mighty Switch Force and Luigi's Mansion 2) has helped too :p Next on the list - FIRE EMBLEM! I've got it for free as part of the 3DS free game thing, but I'm waiting for an SD card in the post so I can actually download it :p
  12. I'm surprised you guys don't like Ski as I have the opposite opinion! I couldn't stand Twister race and thought Ski was miles better. I could just be biased towards Jimmy T. though. I've got to the bowling stage and love it so far. The mini-games are very hit and miss, and it's certainly not a patch on the Wii game (but I hold that as the best in the series by far), but it's still very enjoyable. So much character, and the chicken eggs keep me wanting to come back for more. Stand out games so far - 18 Volt! It was a right task getting a score of 40 but I managed it. 9 Volt is also pretty awesome but I enjoy the other mode more because of the pure WarioWare aspect. I was also very surprised by Ashley's stage, it looked so dull but is actually pretty awesome. Stand out has to be the pirate game though. Oh my GOD. That game is so good, I wish they'd make an entire eShop title of it. Can't get enough, and the dancing at the end is just hilarious. The taxi game is also worthy of a mention, very engaging and surprisingly hard (or maybe I'm just shit at multi-tasking). So far, I'm impressed. I know its been getting bad reviews, but that's what I expected. I think Wario games have always been quite misunderstood. Also, the whole chicken thing seemed exciting at first but I'm getting far too many 'hints' and character profiles. I do LOVE the phone-calls though. Truly hilarious and take me right back to the days of WarioWare on GameCube when it seemed as though pretty much anything goes. I am surprised by the lack of multi-player options though.. heck, that's the main reason I got it :p That said, the picture drawing game is amazing. Me and f00had had an awesome time on that - I can't wait to try it 5 player!
  13. Thanks! As it happens, she actually remembers my name now! So hopefully I don't have long to go! And my turnips are going for the shoddy price of 89 bells
  14. Just a quick question, how hard is New Super Luigi U? I despised the first half of New Super Mario Bros U because it was just so dull and easy, but the second half of the game was actually really enjoyable! So I'm hoping they cut the bullshit and just have hardcore platforming from the word go, considering it's DLC!
  15. I just had the camel thing come over to re-decorate! I was pretty impressed with the end result actually My residents have asked for their first project (as I just decided the first few by myself) and its the dream suite. I was hoping they'd want a coffee shop or the KK Club instead :P Not quite sure what the dream suite does but I've accepted it now so will have to cough up around 250,000 bells to find out :p Also, WHEN will I be able to scan clothes in using a QR code D:
  16. I'm so excited after seeing those gameplay videos! I didn't want to get too hyped before in case I was seeing mostly pre-rendered bits in that trailer, I can't actually believe this is in game. It looks SO nice, hard to believe this is on the same Wii U I have in my bedroom, it just looks miles ahead of anything else on the system right now. The tracks also look genuinely exciting! Mario Kart had become so stale for me, I barely played Wii or 7, this really does seem like a breath of fresh air for the franchise and I can't wait!
  17. This is what annoys me most, Nintendo are obviously stretched and stuggling with the transition to HD, but they're not helping themselves. The 30p promotion is working wonders, but they could do SO much more with the eShop! GameCube and N64 support being one! If that's too hard, just more good games. Earthbound is a great start, but why such a long wait!?
  18. It only RARE were still here to bail then out when it comes to software droughts!
  19. It was okay, I just couldn't believe donkey kong was there. I'm so sick of 2D platformers, and it honestly looks hardly any different from the Wii version. It's no wonder people don't think the Wii U is very powerful, barely anything even seems to try in the graphics department. When iwata was boasting about DK's fur, I couldn't help but think that it only looked as good as in Jungle Beat, a GameCube title. Mario Kart, Mario Worlds and Smash Bros all look great, but considering the Wii U situation I was really expecting some big surprises.
  20. Oops. In that case I obviously don't know too much about the films to judge them that harshly :P But yeah in general I just don't find them as great as everyone makes them out to be, I did enjoy the first Toy Story but even number 3 left me a bit underwhelmed!
  21. Hey, I noticed your eShop games article is unpublished, do you want me to get that sorted for you or is it intentional for now? :)

  22. I think it's slightly over-rated, but I liked it all the same, and I usually hate Pixar films but always get dragged to them, so it really was a pleasant surprise! The one thing that really shocked me is that I didn't despise any of the characters because generally, they always manage to get someone who has a voice that just ruins the entire movie for me (like the little girl in Wreck it Ralph).
  23. I woke up feeling awful today. Really sore throat, can barely speak and super light-headed. I cancelled my driving lesson, I always feel really guilty when I do, but considering the mess I made when trying to make a cup of tea this morning, I can't imagine the mess I'd make on the road. I'm just gonna spend the next few hours doing driving theory in bed so my guilt doesn't completely take over me!
