@Ronnie What iOS game are you referencing? Maybe it's just not for you, it's more open exploration as oppose to Nintendo's recent limited and linear platformers. If you haven't played Banjo then I'd say the closest thing to it is Mario Sunshine.

I loved the orchestra but honestly preferred the xbox event. I kinda like an in-depth look for some things, the constant trailers started to make it feel like I was sat in a cinema waiting for a movie. E3 fluff can be tiresome but I think this went too far the other way. That said, the games on show looked awesome, though I was a bit disappointed with the Crash section. It's great we're getting remakes but the big Crash intro made me think we were getting a new game. As amazing as it was, I don't play games that much now that I'm old and stuck in my ways. I can't see myself getting much of what MS or Sony showed off, and Nintendo are pretty much absent this year, so I hope SEGA has some cool stuff to show.

Seeing that picture just makes me sad, no Nintendo event will feel the same for me without Iwata.

Can you feel the Sunshine? Does it brighten up your day? Don't you feel that sometimes you just need to run away?
-
Difference being that other consoles aren't soley relying on one title. What do we get to compensate it? Colour Splash if we're lucky.

I think a 3D and semi-3D Mario can exist side by side in the same way 3D World and NSMB do, especially now that Mario Sports games and Party are once in a blue moon, we're not over saturated with Mario like we were in the GameCube days. And I think Mario is a perfect fit for those kinds of games, Mario 64 was the first Mario game that blew me away and it's still my favourite to this day, with Sunshine a close second. I think people who grew up with N64/ GameCube view the 3D titles in the same way SNES kids view the 2D games so it's not fair to say Mario doesn't fit these sorts of games. I would love a full open world Mario Sunshine and it's something that Miyamoto wanted, a connected world, but couldn't achieve with the GameCube hardware. That's why you see different levels in the background though and why the layout of sunshine is so great. Imagine climbing the mountain and finding gelato beach on the other side

It's looking great and I really love the return of character gibberish but stand by Nuts & Bolts to this day, despite even Platonic making fun of it :p I must say though, I was more pumped reading EDGE and seeing just the screenshots, whilst it still looks good, the frame-rate and camera seem a bit off to me. It's still months from release though so hopefully that gets sorted

It is! And yes, if by some miracle they do add some more DLC they have to fix battle mode!

I didn't particularly want to get back into retail but at the minute that seems like the simplest option until I've figured out what else I want to do with my life!

Is this what people are always worried about when it's suggested Nintendo should go third party? A lack of releases and fading into obscurity? Because it feels that way lately anyway. Honestly, back in 2007 if you'd have told me Nintendo wouldn't host a press conference and only have a handful of games to show off at E3 I'd have laughed. If you'd have told me they'd pull off the Twiligt Princess trick again I'd have really thought you were taking the piss. Sad times indeed.

Whether they do or don't take videos down, in creating this situation in the first place it has started the rumour around that Nintendo don't like you posting their content on YouTube and puts a lot of people off. It's just as damaging as their confusing message about E3. The practices and ideas might not be bad but the execution is often rubbish and confusing for fans. They have a serious communication problem.

And with their weird copyright rules, it's not Nintendo they'll be watching on YouTube either :p

Wow, imagine that, a console exclusively designed for VR as oppose to the One and Ps4 add-ons, it could be another disaster but forcing it into the core system could create a success like the mandatory motion controls of Wii. There certainly seems to be 'casual' interest in VR but no casual gamer setup for it right now, with the fairly expensive Ps4/VR hybrid being the most viable ATM.
-
That's the weirdest part though, we all thought this when they announced 'just Zelda' so it makes no sense that they've only just come to the realisation now.

Nintendo scrambling for scraps of meat to make their e3 sausage.

I keep forgetting that Zelda is on NX as well, it's an interesting point to make. What version will be running at the show? I'd guess it's the opposite to your thoughts though, we'll just see the Wii U version and have the higher resolution one shown later on NX. After all, if it's playable it'd HAVE to be the Wii U version right?

I love Periscope, it does make me feel pretty old when I use it though, everyone's all 'this is lit af' and 'that's legit bro'. Kids and their language.

Had a day to myself as I've been on the usual downward spiral that I find myself in every month or so. I feel especially mentally drained lately. Constant nightmares and bad thoughts, I've decided in my mind finally after batting the idea back and forth that I need to get out of care work even if it's just for 6 months or so. Last year was so draining personally with family matters and trying to keep my head above water emotionally was pretty hard. As such, I'm still in a fragile state and I just can't handle the emotional aspect of my job lately. Death is to be expected in my job role but ive had to deal with the death of 3 that I was very close to recently and keep getting images of them every now and then, the terrible state they end up in and seeing them take their last breath and become motionless is something I can't seem to push out of my mind.

I'm the second youngest on here, which is pretty unexpected at 24. Where did all the young ones go?! As for favourite age, I'd love to go back to 17, college was so damn fun with such great friends and the experimental Wii days were AMAZING for me. I should do this with the galactic horn on Wii Music:

I was friends with this quiet girl for the first year in college and everyone kept trying to get us together, I never got with her but could never deny having no interest as it was good for keeping my gay secret at the time. I got super drunk on a trip to Amsterdam, my tutor was giving a speech infront of about 40 students about how he was leaving, I went up and put my arm around him and started chanting his name. Thankfully everyone joined in and didn't leave me hanging but I still want to literally DIE when I think about it. I used to regularly sing 'I'm a Scatman' by Scatman John on karaoke, imagine lame White emo kid trying to 90's rap. So, so bad. There's so many that I try not to think about it too much :p Edit: as for forum days, I used to typ liek dis and woz called Bstmte.

AmiiU should be the new system name. Amiibo unlock everything even on the OS. Anyway, when do you guys think we'll get our first official NX screenshot? It could happen before Nintendo officially release an image, like this famous one

They might have been, which is why Nintendo need the support of those titles desperately. That or they need another huge hook like Wii Sports and Fit, I bet half of Wii owners bought it soley for Wii Sports and Wii Fit.

I really don't see the issue at all. All PS4 games are compatible on both the old and 'neo' version as far as we know, and you pay extra to get a neo which will have flashier graphics. The reason they didn't release the neo at launch, I'm assuming, is to avoid another $599 situation. I don't see how this is different to new iPhones being released every year, new PC parts or things such as the New 3DS, unless all of those send you into a fit of rage too.

I got charged £35 extra last month and £15 already this month on my EE contract. I pay for my phone and my nans iPad on my account, after ringing up to find out, it seems nan has somehow set up some regular payment to a healthy living and eye training site through text messages? I didn't know that was even possible. Anyway I've got EE to stop it and block websites that charge straight to the phone bill. Every time I see my nan she's fearful of accidently buying things and I always reassure her that there's no way she can without giving card details or entering her apple password, as I thought there wasnt! I guess I was wrong :p Anyway, I've been assured by EE it wont happen again now that the block is in place so I probably just won't mention it, else she'll be too worried to touch her ipad again. She could have signed up for worse things :p On a positive note, I sorted out my phones insurance whist talking to them, which I've been meaning to do for ages especially in time for holiday, and set up a block of pre-paid texts and minutes for when I go! Got my medical insurance sorted today as well. Lots of customer service calls for one day.

Some of these releases seem very bizarre but then hey, that's Nintendo :p I really hope they release Elite Beat Agents on VC one day but I'm guessing with licensing and shit it's probably not worth their time.
