  1. Given the state of the eShop and the amount of tripe on there now, it's probably best to withhold development kits. If you think back to when the Switch first launched, the eShop was much more curated and the cream rose to the top but once the floodgates opened it just turned into a mess.
  2. I never thought I could finish and platinum a Monster Hunter game in a week but here we are. It's too easy, hands out drops at a stupidly fast pace and has very little content.
  3. Can't be licensing because they own the IP. Cost can't be a factor either because they are porting random PSP and PS2 games to PS+ and yet Chains of Olympus, Ghost of Sparta, God of War and God of War 2 are still absent from the service.
  4. Whole lot of nothing for me. I was holding off trading it in to see if anything decent would drop. A trip to CEX could be on the cards. The long awaited monster is rumoured to be Lagi.
  5. Indeed. For me it was a superior version of the game thanks to being able to use standard controls. I imagine the same arguments for Star Fox Zero would pop up if it ever got ported. I think most of the ports have sold very well on the Switch. If there is a low cost but high return then I imagine Nintendo will continue to release them.
  6. I loved that game. I found it to be very underrated. I've no idea how well it holds all these years later though.
  7. I completely forgot about that. It's another game that has been rumoured for well over a year now. I would love to have Wind Waker on the Switch.
  8. Standard Nintendo practice. Just drip feeding us stuff.
  9. Looks like it's legit. Nate is usually good with Direct announcements.
  10. In City Trial you are given a set amount of time to collect various power ups. After the time limit you will be put into a random event with the other players. If it's something like a race then any speed stats you acquire will benefit you or if it's an event that requires you to fly the farthest then the air/glide stat will come in handy. I'm not sure how much you'll get out of the single player. I love unlockables and achievements/trophies and so it's right up my street. If you aren't aiming to clear the checklist then there will be little for you to do.
  11. Yup. Robotbot has been heavily rumoured for a few months now. There's still that FE remake game that has apparently been sat finished for over a year now as well.
  12. Haha. My mate said the same thing this morning. It's such a tedious trophy.
  13. That scene is just ridiculous at this point. Fights breaking out in stores, people stealing booster packs from shops, retailers having to limit what they are selling or even stop selling them altogether due to the hassle they are causing. This is all down to people just wanting to make a quick buck at the expense of kids or actual players being able to buy the product. There's a new Team Rocket set that just got announced and I have already made peace that I will never be able to find them anywhere once released. Honestly, it just feels like anything and everything is being targeted with the sole purpose of flipping for a profit. The world sucks.
  14. It was a fantastic multiplayer experience. Both this and Smash Bros. Melee were the top games when having friends over for a gaming night and the achievement system meant that there was still plenty to do and unlock once my friends had gone home.
  15. I played through it last year and loved it. Do you not have the English version?
  16. Indeed. Many said the pandemic bump in prices for retro gaming would eventually go down but if anything it has continued to go up for a lot of stuff. I also thought that with the cost of living continuing to go up every year, things like retro gaming prices would go down due to people needing to funnel their money into more important things. Nope.
  17. Thanks to this bump I ended up firing up the game over the weekend. I forgot just how long it takes for the game to actually load up! I had to spend a while picking up the weeds and tidying the place up as it had been a while since I was last on it. It was nice revisiting the place, doing a spot of fishing and just generally chilling out with the villagers. I was looking through the in game achievement list to see if I would ever be able to grind through and complete them all. I doubt that will ever happen. It certainly highlights just how impressive it is that @BowserBasher got them all. Despite the game having many QoL issues, it has easily been my most played Animal Crossing game and I wonder just how long it will be before the next one gets released on the Switch 2.
  18. I was browsing retro stuff on eBay yesterday (as you do) and came across a complete set of N64 magazines. I remember a mint set of these being sold during the pandemic and they went for around £200. This set was in pretty great shape and was standing at £155 with only a few mins to go. I was half tempted to slam in a bid but at the last second it shot up to £400! It's yet another example how crazy the retro market has become, even for magazines. It doesn't surprise me when you see people saying they are being priced out of their hobby.
  19. This pleases me, @Julius.
  20. I picked this up in a recent sale and it wasn't half as good as I remember it being. Part of the problem with games like this is that if you do remember how things play out then they lose a lot of their charm. I also preffered the look of the DS game more than this one. Things looked too sharp and clean and I found myself missing the pixilated look of the original version. Missile still rules though.
  21. Again, same for me. I remember thinking it all turned a bit goofy once Elvis the alien showed up. Feels like it was a few years too late with all that stuff anyway. Things like Independance Day, X-Files, Men in Black, Starship Troopers, Outer Limits and Mars Attacks had all been and gone by the time the game released. Had it stuck with the more futuristic Bond setting then I may have enjoyed it more.
  22. I'm the same. I remember the hype around the game at the time of release. Both Official Nintendo and N64 magazines were constantly raving about it, especially the face capture feature that was ultimately canned. I picked it up on launch day from Woolworths and played it all weekend. After the credits rolled I boxed it up and never played it again and it was never in the multiplayer rotation when my friends and I had gaming sessions. I've never completed the game since. I'm one of the sickos who actually prefers Perfect Dark Zero. It's a shame the GBC version isn't on NSO. I would have liked to have given it a go.
  23. Nah. I don't like using stuff like that. The whole thing still feels iffy to me.
  24. I've still not had the courage to pull the trigger on my retro stuff. I'd make a killing on it as well as everything is mint in box with protectors. A part of me thinks I would regret getting rid of them and, given how expensive the retro scene now is, I doubt I would be able to even afford to aquire it all again later down the road. I just wish retro stuff was available more freely and I mean this in the official sense because I don't dabble with PC emulation. If favourites were available to own on modern platforms I would be more inclined sell some of it.
