I see we are posting pictures of our sweet rides. Here's mine: On top of mount Chiliad.

The knife flights were frustrating. But I enjoyed collecting the scraps, spaceship parts and the nuclear waste. Kinda relaxing listening to the radio at the same time. NWA MoFo. Oh, and that kifflom mission was just bollocks.

Just got 100% game completion, and all bar one of the single player achievements. Just need to go back and get 70 gold medals on missions then I'm done until GTAO is released. Then I'll probably rock that until PS4. After about 80 hours, I would consider this one of the greatest games of all time.

Never used xpadder, but if you are going to game on your new laptop, a decent mouse is pretty much essential.

DiveKick is brilliant. I bought it on Steam when it came out. The developers wanted to condense the 1v1 fighter down to it's purest form, whereby removing the long combo inputs and difficult frame counting movesets. Now it's just two buttons; Dive and Kick. It works really well.

I didn't say it was a troll argument, I said it was a troll comment - which it is.

Nobody was saying a controller can't be better than another. My point was the placement of the sticks on both pads is irrelevant. As one can adapt quite easily between the two after a short time. So your basing your decision to purchase a new console on the ergonomics of a controller that you haven't held yet, but are assuming will be just like the previous generation? You have valid reasons for purchasing an Xbox One over a PS4, such as your friends will be buying one, you have some exclusive content that will appeal to you, etc.. But saying the Playstation Controller is 'lol', without giving any sort of coherent argument is not one of them. It is merely a troll comment.

I've never understood the stick placement argument. It is a personal preference because that's what you are used to. It is simple muscle memory that is telling your brain you are comfortable where the sticks are. One is not better than the other, and neither are in the 'wrong' place. If you had said the Triggers on PS3 sucked, or the D-Pad on the 360 were atrocious, then I would understand.

I think the term 'Indie' has taken on a new meaning in the gaming world. Yes, in the literal sense it means self-published. But most gamers now associate Indie with small downloadable games with often innovative gameplay or riskier mechanics. Take Journey for example, made by thatgamecompany and published by Sony - yet it is still classed as an Indie title. Minecraft transcends what it means to be Indie, it started out as this little voxel based curio made in the spare time of an eccentric Swedish man, but even Notch himself has admitted he doesn't think Minecraft is Indie anymore. Personally, I love the Indie scene. I really can't be arsed anymore with sprawling 60 hour story driven RPG's. I bought Rogue Legacy, Sir, You Are Being Hunted and Divekick today. These games are much more appealing to me now than say, Skyrim.

Some great Indie games announced; The Binding of Isaac, Hotline Miami 2 and my personal favourite - Rogue Legacy!

Just bought the new Humble bundle, it's an Origin one and if you pay above the average (about £3) you get Battlefied 3 and The Sims 3 + some expansions. https://www.humblebundle.com/ Incredible value.

Gamers - What Are You Playing At The Moment?

Payday 2 Played the Beta and now enjoying the full games on Steam. Great fun with friends but utterly broken in single player. Also have it coming for the 360 from ShopTo, (Ordered it months ago, but managed to get a really cheap Steam version as well) Guacamelee: Gold Edition Awesome game, put a couple of hours in and loving the Metroidvania gameplay and bizarre Mexican Wrestler style. Ducktales: Remastered Woo-Hoo. -

He's added a Portal for 1 million cookies, which 'opens the door to the cookieverse'. I need to see this. -

Playing this right now in a tabbed browser....... Best Game Ever -
The last two games I finished, were a couple of Indie games: To The Moon Whilst the story is no doubt one of the best I've ever heard in a video game so far, the gameplay can be cumbersome and clunky. But for £2 in the Steam sale, it was well worth it. Gunpoint Amazing game. I bought this as an impulse buy, and it's one of my favourite games this year. You should absolutely play this.

No problem. I'll send it over next time I'm in front of my PC.

So I have a spare Beta gift in my Steam Inventory for Payday 2. Anybody want it?

Lock down your wallets...the Steam sale has arrived!
MATtheHAT replied to Rummy's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Spent about £65 in the sale, managed to get a decent haul and will last me a while. Also, and I know it's rather meaningless, but I do enjoy collecting the cards. Even crafted the level 5 Summer Sale Badge...... -

Think I'm just about done, but do want: Final Fantasy VII Interstellar Marines UnEpic Company of Heroes 2 The Swapper Although I doubt any of those will have any sort of significant discount. -
A good beginners guide below. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=123364699&insideModal=0 It's quite lengthy and detailed, but will give a good basic understanding of the game. And as Supergrunch mentioned above, the game is free and would be great to get a few people in from the forum to learn together.

Cool, I've also made purchases in anticipation of a new PC purchase. My laptop barely runs Sleeping Dogs or Dead Island. Although, Fallout NV and Skyrim are playable at decent framerates. Think I'm done with the sales now, just got a couple more Indies to get (To the Moon/The Swapper), and if anything on my wishlist goes on sale I will pick that up.

So did you get a new PC in the end?

Ended up buying Skyrim: Legendary Edition, Hotline Miami and Antichamber. Enough for today methinks.
