Apparently President Mumbarak went on television and accused the protesters of "holding up vital reforms." I admire the confidence of the assertion. Some journalist intimidation going on now, seems several Al Jazeera personnel have been arrested and released after having their equipment confiscated. Hopefully the army won't do anything stupid. Also, the President's son and heir is believed to be sheltering somewhere in London, so y'all keep your eyes out for shifting looking rich people.

8+ 2- (my first ever negatives) though on players I'm retiring anyway. Could've been better but not bad. Terrible youth - 18yr old 3 skill with no special qualities? Sod. Off.

I'm still finding dialogue trees that tell me so more about the characters on my third play through. I've got my "canon" main game, and then my Renegade & Paragon characters who I deliberately use to force the issues one way or the other even if I would normally choose different, stress testing the story and situations. It's a testament to the game as a whole, all the little pieces I'm still shaking out of there.

Oh these are marvellous - I'm particularly fond of the Mowhog, Sonic has given hedgehogs a bad name if you ask me.

Not sure the Matrix needs sequels. Give me a modest television budget and I reckon I could patch together a pretty decent Matrix TV-show though. No, the sequels were just an urban myth. They released an expensive pair of Matrix-themed drinks coasters though.

I'm conflicted - I am massively in favour of taking the FPS genre back to a modernised world of massive guns and even more massive aliens, but I don't think this will be the game to do that. I'd like to be proven wrong though.

I'll vote for any party that's prepared to challenge the notion that raising taxes even slightly will result in the unholy collapse of all known civilisation. Previous generations have tried to have it both ways, low taxes while maintaining high levels of public services funded by the apparently notional taxes collected of the imaginary profits from genius bankers and their mystical debt products. Now that the combined mights of Basic Reality and Common Sense have pulled the plank from under everyone's feet and started beating them with it, we have a choice of paying the taxes for our public services or we can start selling it off or simply let it rot. As it is we seem to have a government falling over itself towards the latter so as not to offend the sensibilities of the few who don't need them at the expense of the many that do. I appreciate the economy is still on shaky ground for a tax rise right now, but when it does recover we're going to have to make the choice and I don't trust any of the main parties in their current state to fully recognise the wider public need - partially because most of it's members are members of the few themselves.
