Sorry to hear your hip troubles Raining, hope all's well. Went to a very disappointing production of Present Laughter last night. Competent but desperately comfortable and (ironically) hopelessly under acted, especially from it's central character. Needed some more imagination in the direction I think.

My gaming goes back to my dad's Spectrum and stuff like Ikari Warriors, Jet Pac, Uridium and Starstrike. My first Nintendo games was Starwing, as part of a 5-game pack including Super Tennis, Super Star Wars, Desert Strike and the chronically under recognised Stunt Race FX.

Can I watch?

This just makes me angry this isn't a noir thriller series starring Batgirl Barbara Gordon.

I suppose complimenting her and asking her out for a nice drink and/or meal is somehow too obvious?

I'll believe it when I see it but I do trust Andrew Benson to not write this up unless there was significant scuttlebutt around the paddock, even if he wasn't able to reveal specific sources or information. Alonso will be fine with Kimi but his relationship with Ferrari brass is looking pretty tense for the foreseeable future.

Treated myself to a copy of Halo CE Anniversary and now I've been bitten by the Halo bug so I'm downloading £15 worth of Reach multiplayer DLC. I've fallen off the wagon.

You came back at the right time, we're now in that mysterious nega-zone where you can buy your own weight in great current-gen games from CEX for a twenty.

I saw the first showing of Rush at my local and I was totally enthralled by it. I went in with high expectations and a critical eye and felt myself becoming totally charmed by it well before the halfway point. Chris Hemsworth was pretty good but Daniel Bruhl was superb, he absolutely needs a few nods come awards season. The whole cast were perfectly cast. Great lines throughout the script and genuinely superb racing sequences. Also, superb sound work, worth seeing in a theatre with a decent system just for that. Even knowing what happens I was on tenterhooks right up until the end.

Came back from school, turned on the TV to repeating images of the towers collapsing in the centre of New York on BBC news. I swore like a sailor, not realising the plumber was up stairs.

Had some dude call me in the middle of the afternoon offering the possibility of a full time staff supervisor job at a food processing line. Meeting tomorrow at the recruitment agency. Dare I dream a way out of retail has just dropped in my lap? Dare I even begin to wonder at the possibilities? More importantly, earned my 2nd karate belt last week. Also, got a smartphone subscription with unlimited data and it works surprisingly well for online/console games so that was a very pleasant surprise.

If Seb falls off the race track/the earth/ our plane of reality during the next two races we might have a a championship battle to look forward to. Frankly though, I wouldn't put money on it. I just hope others share the coming race wins.

Decent race, title's pretty much settled but I guess it's just that kind of year. Another painful race of watching Lewis fight tooth and nail for not much, he really needs to stop beating himself up so badly. He was incredibly unlucky this weekend. Hulkenberg was a star though, he needs to get a seat in a top-tier team ASAP.
