JESUS VS ZELDA: Who has the most rabid fan boys? Find out in this exciting clash of malformed opinions and badly spelled hate mail! http://www.gamerevolution.com/mailbag/2006/jesus_vs_zelda

New wallpaper, made from one of the lovely high-res images on hubblesite.org. Note the galaxy-cleaning Forerunner weapon being powered up at it's south pole.

To be honest the real ones aren't much better.

I'd love to be one of the Zoras. Living in water and being able to see and breath in water and swim around anywhere I pleased would be awesome.
-
I sincerely hope those irritating little children don't feature in the game, if only because I think Bungie's script writer (whoever he/she is) is an ass of P.W. Anderson proportions.
-
Did I mention I consider Lost to be the worst television programme aired in the last five years? I just love to take the mickey outta that thing. I watch it occasionally to give me a confidence boost.

I am 19 and have a wirery, straggly beard. I love 80s pop music, particularly the cheesy stylings of Ah Ha and Jefferson Starship. I consider to this day Thunderbirds, Power Rangers and Captain Scarlett to be the finest televisual feasts devised by man. I think Tom Cruise is an excellent actor. I think Jessica Alba is a bit of a minger. Though, to be honest, I'm not the least bit guilty about any of these things. Just trying to think of things some may judge me as being guilty.

Conkers Bad Fur Day- how good was it?

For my money, The Matrix level remains the definitive piece of video game Matrixing, as well as the single coolest level in video game history. -
The only actual argument for maintain a nuclear arsenal is this idea that "we don't know what is going to happen. Whoooooooooo!" Now, I understand that this is a calculated risk. In the same sort of way the possibility of suffocating yourself while using a tea cosy is a calculated risk. The fact remains that an eventuality when the UK actually requires a nuclear deterrent within the life span of trident's replacement, and most likely for some time beyond, is extremely unlikely to occur.

We just don't need them. The only nation likely to fire anything at us any time in the foreseeable future is N. Korea, and they only have an operational range of a few hundred miles. Besides our American allies have got nukes coming out of the wazzoo. This is a phenomenal amount of money were talking about here. A phenomenal amount of money that could be spent much better else where, like national security, social services and so on.

Nope, all done with a working game engine. As I recall, at E3 they had people move the camera around themselves to prove the point. Bungie aren't Sony remember.
-
Just as long as no one from Bungie gets to open their mouth. When I watched their behind the scenes Halo 3 preview vid and they were all talking about how kewl the story for Halo 2 was, I very nearly garroted the lot of them.

B-day Salutations!

How do you experience colours generated by names and other stimuli? Do you actually see it in some way, as if it were in front of your eyes, or is it just a connection that is made inside your brain which generates a response on some level?

NGamer gave it 81%, is that's any proof at all.

They don't show The Great Escape often enough if you ask me.
-
Does Die Hard count? If not, it's a dead heat between Muppet Christmas Carol and Nightmare Before Christmas.

I intend to get a 360 one day and mainly for this. Been looking at some vids on Gamespot and I haven't seen a game so ridiculously charming since the original Pikmin. The Fudgehogs romance dance cracks me up no end. Very much the 360's Animal Crossing.

What are your Wii launch day plans? [New podcast Hot Topic]
gaggle64 replied to Conor_NE's topic in General Chit Chat
Not likely to get it on launch day (though Martinist says he'll brave the stormy sea of people that will inevitably clamour for that precious second shipment in order to procure one for me. God I love him.) so, probably getting wound up, trying to get my scratched 4th-hand copy of Battalion Wars to work probably. -
Blunt isn't fit to scrub Ben Folds's toilet with his god damn tongue. And don't anyone damn well forget it. My favourite track of theirs is still Barrytown, the song that lead me to them via the Me, Myself & Irene soundtrack (best movie soundtrack ever!). Song for the Dumped, Missing the War, Best Imitation of Myself... also all genius.
-
In any case, I bet he leads a simply fascinating life.
-
Oh yes, almost forgot, that I quite easily have the worst flatmate on the forum, if not in the history of mankind. I swear to god, he is trying to kill us all through is own squalor.

Conkers Bad Fur Day- how good was it?
gaggle64 replied to flameboy's topic in General Gaming Discussion
The multiplayer game where you had to guide the frenchies past the machine guns and the flag capture game on the N64 were fantastic multiplayer modes, uniquely even more so with bots. Live and Reloaded had some pretty neat multiplayer ideas but the 64 version is still the definitive one. Ending was pretty cool. Horribly downbeat but I liked that because you just don't see that a lot, especially in video games. Still praying for a proper sequel. -
I'm willing to bet I'm the only person with books by Augusto Boal, Shirow Masamune, Alan Bennett, Peach Pit, Ian M Banks and Stanislavsky side by side on their bookshelf. My tastes are nothing if not varied.
