  1. I do think there's something to be said for the good reputation of high journalistic standards that NGamer has. If game publishers didn't want to get "their hands bitten" because of a bad game, why would they let anyone review their game ever?
  2. "FLOP GAME"? NGamer gave it 90%. I've read their mag since the birth of the GC, and they haven't let me down yet. (They gave Banana Blitz 84%, if anyone's interested.)
  3. If the subject of the film is really what we all believe to be, it seems inevitable, if not actually required by federal law.
  4. I don't see how borrowing from OoT would be a great problem, especially when you consider an OoT-a like Zelda is what people have been screaming for since we were all hopping up and down trying to snatch a glimpse of the Starcube. It's amazing that so few other games have.
  5. I'll hold out for some reviews. If they can go the full 1hr and 27mins without turning to a celebrity, they win a cookie.
  6. I'll be seeing Thurs with my Mum, my bro and a couple of mates at my local art house. Daniel Craig is a great actor, this will be good.
  7. You should email that into NGamer or something. I bet they'd love to make a poster out of it. Link's in high demand these days.
  8. Probably just Exitetruck, but I'll give Tony hawks a look see if it's any good.
  9. The graphics look pretty nice to me too, but I can imagine they don't look too great next to other Wii titles. Can't say till I get the finsihed product. As he says though, is anyone even going to care?
  10. Penny Arcade have given their two cents: Excellent.
  11. Most of his preview seems to be entirely about reading signs - I mean it's hardly a game breaking complaint now, is it? I love the fact he picked out the Zelda series, when pretty much every single RPG/Adventure game since the beginning of time (and most probably many, many RPG/Adventure games to come) uses the same, back breaking method of making the player press a button. How will he cope?
  12. The idea of holding the nunchuck as if it were two sides of a steering wheel (if that indeed is what he is doing) is rather nice. At least they seem to have had a good think about Wiimote usage.
  13. What was wrong with it on Vice City now?
  14. That's Numberwang!
  15. 19, (20 in April). I think I joined a few months before CE became RE, though i didn't post much. In the time since, I've probably become less angry.
  16. Pikadiator Actually has superior lip syncing then the original show. Or indeed, Russel Crowe.
  17. Do they not control the little speaker volume? That's what I would have thought anyway.
  18. I think "debate" is a rather strong word to be bandying around the Gamespot forums. It suggests a group of people calmly discussing known facts in order to come to a civilised conclusion. The Gamespot forums are, to my mind, more representative of a large herd of Yaks trying to decide who's the boss by having massive farting competition.
  19. Indeed the Zelda poster in NGamer this month was sexy. Decided to go for the big retro collage on the other side though, to add some colour. Still got their previous TP poster up anyway.
  20. As much as I enjoy the various subtle and intelligently made points on this thread, I draw the line at Goldeneye comparisons. What kind of crazy ass souped-up N64 was everyone playing it on?
  21. The trailer be nice. Graphically pretty similar (with an emphasis on pretty) to the PC version, only with slightly better blood and effects. This is a good thing. The control scheme looks good too. I hope you can mix and match dual weapon combinations a la' Halo 2.
  22. Is there a link to the vid around here?
  23. Somehow I don't recall Mr Game and Watch running backwards on all fours with his arse pointed towards the enemy. Or having a gigantic fart attack. Also Samus and Sheik moved in a very similar fashion in Melee (both had the same spinning upward kick especially.) In fact the main difference between them was that Samus was slower and floatier then Sheik. Besides if they have gotten rid of Sheik, how will they have adjusted Zelda's character to compensate?
  24. This forum has never purported itself to be the definition of mental (or indeed physical) health.
  25. What those soldiers didn't sign up for was to be left undermanned and without the tools or equipment they actually need to do the job or defend themselves. The MoD and Donald Rumsfeld are pillocks, make no mistake.
