Oh, there's plenty out there, and there's going to be plenty out there. Just not the traditional kinds of blockbusters you list above. The Wii's dirty little secret? It's not aimed at people who want to play those games. Sure, games like Mario, Zelda and Metroid will still be around but you're not likely to find many of those ultra-violent blockbusters you so desperately crave here. It's not the hardware, it's the demograph. Just look at the unrivaled success of the DS. The three best selling games from last year? Brain Training, Nintendogs and Animal Crossing. Why aim for the one teenaged gamer in the house when you can get his girlfriend, Mum, Dad, little Sister, Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents hooked just as easily? None of those people will ever play MGS or UT, but leave them alone for five minutes with Wii Sports and watch the magic.

Telltale seeking for Wii programmer to port PC games
gaggle64 replied to Teppo Holmqvist's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Sam and Max would be nice. A return of the point-and-clicker might not be far off. Unlikely. But I like to dream. -
Obviously it's only a matter of time. I do think the series needs to take a lurch forward right about now. Command-style free roaming levels only much busier, and a Co-op methinks?

Is it just me, or are Mcoy's not quite what they used to be? They seem to have lost their bite at some point over the last few years.

EDIT: No alright then: Transformers and Shakespeare

Can we all just agree that none of us has, or will ever have any idea at all what lies beyond this realm, and all go get hammered now please?

I think the Wii is waiting for it's versions/equivilants of Brain Training, Nintendogs and Animal Crossing to really shift itself into traditionally non-gaming hands. Wii Sports is a good start, but it needs more. What ever happend to Wii Music?

I guess overall it was lucky Richard did it instead of James, as they ha originally planned. Being a good head taller, James would almost have certainly had his head literraly ripped off when it overtunred and hit the grass.

So basically, he stopped the car with his face? I guess being short finally paid off. The Jaguar was a bit of something else n'all. Wouldn't mind one of those. And yes, road wokrmen should work faster. Oh really? What channel do you get it on where you are? BBC Worldwide?

So far, so hilarious. Richard is getting properly annoyed with Jermery on the roadworks. Hilarity is ensuing.

I have gotta say, this is almost certainly the last Zelda as we know it. It won't involve leading big armies or anything I think - that's not Links bag. TP feels like one last, grand hurrah for the series before it leave sthe stage and becomes something totally different all together. What could that thing be? Somehow I got a feeling it's going to be weirder then we can imagine.

I am extremly satisfied with my purchase. In between the high adventure of Zelda, the mania of Wario, the cutified sporting prowess of 'Sports and the pofaced machoism of Madden (the control scheme IS amazing by the way) I've got enough quality gaming until the likes of Metroid and Mario lead the next wave of big titles over the horizon. I showed it to my family and they took to it immediatly. On the whole, I am immensily satisfied. "Awww man! They should've released the console just for this!" My Bro, while playing with the Mii channel.

Mmmmm, my mouth is sooo full of glacier fruits right now.

After 10 years in development, the name seems almost prophetic now.

When it comes to chocolate, thise Freetrade ones in Co-op can't be beat. Cadbury's to me just taste like a big bar of dangerous chemicals.

Can I also just put a big "up" to my best friends in the whole wide world: Kettle Chips. Each and every one of them.

Reincarnation would be quite interesting. Being a clown fish might be quite fun, for example.

Everyone was discussing Monster Munch and other assorted sweet & salty delights, and it's left me feeling famished. However, I have nothing in the cupboards and everything is closed. So lets all drool over our favorite snacks instead. Is there something you crave? Can you not go a day without having your favourite choco bar? Maybe you're munching on something right now. Share with us the snacks you delight in. For me, there's little that can beat those awesome Cheese savoury sandwhiches they serve in the college canteen. If I could I'd fill bathtub with the stuff. Mmmm, such delicious yellow goop. It's like my nectar now.

The Mothman. I'm honestly not kidding, if he comes around I'll cack myself. I lie awake at night half-expecting his ghostly, burning eyes to appear at my window. Where's Richard Gere when you need him?

Like Diemetrix, just stuff posted by me/ avatars and such. It's nice having a unique nickname. Though my real name brings this up a couple of times: Apparently my namesake is a port and refinery plant in South Australia.

I had an all girl Friend-Zone last year, but since jumping ship from drama to writing, I seem to have discovered something faintly worse - now without my own 'Zone, I have become a lodger in another type of Zone. I'm not sure what it's called but I have friend with The Good Kind of Zone. Unfortunetly it's not my zone. It's HIS zone. No matter what happens HE gets whatever wanders into HIS zone. I end up being not so much his wingman, more like his ground crew. I suppose though, he is a very eye catching person, as he does look like a jewish vampire. By comaprison, I am just A Guy. Mr Normal. No worries. Right in the head. Ack, I gave up 15 months a go. I'm happy just to buy the drinks for now.

Fanboys of every denomination can be equally annoying. Take some poeple on this forum. Sure, they bitch long and hard about a lack of innovation in Nintendo products, but did they buy Chibi Robo or Brain Training? No. But release just one of the many, many, many versions of Street fighter 2 on VC and, oh, how the masses prance like the delighted little monkeys they are.

Imagine the confusion if such a thing occured at a wildly coincidental point during a Counter Strike game.
