This is better than soccer, period. Well, when the servers are working correctly anyway.

Finally made it to the end of Ep 4 recently. The twist certainly blindsided me even though I knew something was coming. Maybe I'm an idiot but I legitimately would not have been able to guess it entirely. Writing's a little clunky in places but it's an enthralling piece of interactive story telling, can't wait for the conclusion. Genuinely invested now.

Why must you hate yourself like this?

Pfft, as if she could ever love you like I know how to.

Nooo, poor little Betty. I'm so sorry Raining.

I hope it's possible to specifically identify & invade the FOBs belonging to people on your friends list (note to self: fill out friends list).

Stealthing is still preferable but you I'll wager you could shoot your way in and out of any situation you needed to now. Which is good, because for me it's usually one first and then the other.

I wasn't hotly anticipating MGSV but that was before I learned you could build a base with a puppy in it. A puppy!

"The first party industry needs to be more diverse"
gaggle64 replied to Ronnie's topic in General Gaming Discussion
The concept of a "First Party" is dying as platform converge on each other. There will always be big and small publishers with requisite budgets and the "diversity" is always going to be at the small end of the scale, where potential losses are lower, individuals have greater control over their work, and the audiences they attract are more likely to buy something new. Most major tent-pole projects will inevitably follow established popular formulas to sell reliably. Occasionally something exceptional will be produced and supported by a big name but it will usually be the exception. It's the same way in most major creative industries. Big movie budgets go to superhero reboots, star vehicles and brand marketing exercises. The "diversity" of cinema will always be in the documentaries, the small-studio animations, the breakouts from the art scene. I'm fine with it TBH. -
Mostly that makes me miss the old Rogue Squadron games. =(

Love how it's looking. I guess 90% of it will be how well the world allows you to traverse but it's all very promising. Stylistically it looks spot on.

I'm sure if we put our heads together we could think of something fun to do with it.

Just saw Inside Out, I think it's a wonderful achievement in storytelling. Not only is it a fluid and charming journey, it gets right to the core of it's themes and renders them in ways that are convincingly universal. Easily one of the finest films of any genre I've seen for quite some time. I almost walked immediately back into the cinema to watch it again.

That video makes me stupendously angry and I can't properly verbalize why.

Incredible race, I watched the highlights after the race just to take it all in again. Dare we dream of another thriller in Spa after the break? If Ferrari have their act back together the rest of the season could get really good.

It's the choice between a world with a new Metroid game or a world without one. Right now ours is the latter.

The more I read and think on it, the more I'm convinced the NX will essentially be a portable device with an HDMI out and/or maybe a dock station that will up-rez it to the TV. If even passing resemblance a tradition under-the-TV unit I'll be genuinely shocked. Also, I think Nintendo should make or license some of it's properties for platforms they might actually find an audience including PC and the Xbox/Playstation brands. Metroid could find audiences there but it never will with an audience that bought more copies of DKC Returns than all the 'Primes combined. No point in not leveraging good IP just because it's likely audience went with a different platform they're not even trying to compete with.

It was a tragedy when the crash happened and the fatality compounds it horribly. What a tragic loss of such a bright, young, talented human being. We've lost someone destined for great things.

Man, this came as a shock. RIP, he will be missed.

Holy fuck Mad-D, I had no idea you were going through that kind of heavy shit. Incredible respect to you for dealing with that. I don't have anything useful to say but I will be sending you positive vibes as best as I can.

Let's face it, we checked in but we can never leave...

There's honestly no reason to pre-order anything and the Kotaku article is absolutely right, about 90% of the most egregious elements of gaming marketing that people complain about would stop within three months if those same people stopped pre-buying £5-worth of retailer-exclusive plastic for twice the price of the regular game. I used to get mad about it but it's so easy to game prodigiously without buying into literally any of those marketing systems now. Anyone who feels like big games are screwing them over have probably only got themselves to blame. Anyone who still wants it can have it.

Fantastic GP at Silverstone this weekend, a real shot in the arm for the season. Almost gutted Williams didn't at least get a podium though. I hope we get at least a couple more races like that, maybe the season will be viewed more fondly.
