It's A Wonderful Life People have always accused this of being uber schmaltzy, but now I've seen it I find it difficult to accuse it of that. It has plenty warmth but it's genuine, and the drama is very effective. The ending might be cute but doesn't come until just after the main character experiences what amounts to an extended episode of manic psychosis mixed with suicidal depression. This slots in alongside The Shawshank Redemption and Slumdog Millionaire as one of the most bizarre and depressing feel-good films you'll ever see. The whole thing left me feeling weirdly shell shocked. It's not a wonderful life at all. It's difficult, cold and full of child beating drunks and money-grabbing bastards.

I was asked out by a 16 year old school girl, who apparently didn't realise I was as old as 22. This was followed by a sense of mild awkwardness for all involved.

Well basically as Unown I have to brain-meld with at least one character of each alignment (one townie, one evil and one neutral, though I don't get told what their alignment is.) When I do I also get to gander at copies of any PMs they receive that night. When I've achieved that I win but I get sent to the townie side to play on. I'm up to 2/3, presumably there's another neutral around here I'm missing.

Yesterday I received a council tax bill for the nine days (count 'em - NINE) days that me and my flatmates were officiallybutnotactually residents at our digs but no longer officially butstillkinda students. It's just sort of odd knowing somebody somewhere looks at a representation of you on a computer screen somewhere and thinks "Hold up - we could get an extra thirty outta these fuckers." Heck, it'll probably cost them more then that processing the payments.

Look, I haven't played Killzone 2 so I can't personally comment on it's quality, though I'm sure it's a very fine title given the positive critical response it had. All I know is, MW was blisteringly superb and await it's sequel with fervent, almost sexual anticipation. Now let that be an end to it.
